Role Details
- Position: Operations Coordinator
- Location: Remote. Travel required for in person team days 3 - 6 times a year and some travel across Oxfordshire.

Responsibilities and Person Specification:
The Senior Individual Giving Officer will play a pivotal role in driving unrestricted income growth from individual supporters at Independent Age. Working closely with the Individual Giving Manager, you will lead on the planning and delivery of supporter acquisition, retention and stewardship activity. You’ll take ownership of key projects and manage multi-channel campaigns and donor journeys that deepen engagement, reduce attrition, and maximise lifetime value. From heartfelt appeals to personalised touchpoints, you’ll ensure every supporter feels valued and connected to our mission.
You will bring experience in managing the planning, budget, set-up, delivery and reporting and analysis of integrated multi-channel digital, direct and offline campaigns and activities that meet and exceed KPI’s. Digital expertise and experience working in a test and learn environment are also key. You’ll have an agile mindset, with the ability to work both proactively and reactively depending on changing priorities. You must have a passion for, and affinity with, Independent Age’s cause.

The Role – Individual Giving Assistant Manager
The Fundraising Department of Chester Zoo, a major wildlife charity, with a mission of Preventing Extinction works to secure income which contributes towards the delivery of our strategic development plan and ambitious conservation plan, helping to ensure nature can survive and thrive.
Reporting to the Fundraising & Philanthropy Lead and working with the wider Fundraising team, the Individual Giving Assistant Manager will lead on securing and managing small to medium donations from individuals. This includes our newly created Patron Scheme, multiple fundraising campaigns and all challenge events for the zoo (including Run for Nature).
We are looking for a proactive and conscientious individual who will take a data led approach to raise money in effective and creative ways, working with our Senior Marketing Manager and Senior Data and Insights Manager to identify patterns and drive donations through individual giving. They will also manage and drive revenue through onsite giving mechanisms including in-memory, naming opportunities and point of sale giving – all whilst helping to strengthen our supporter base and foster their long-term relationships with the zoo.
They will work across the organisation to support our team of conservationists and scientists at Chester Zoo to engage, train and support targets within our strategically important field, education and science led projects.
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Fundraising Strategy: Help to develop and implement new plans to continue to grow our Individual Giving income led by the Fundraising & Philanthropy Lead
- Prospect Development: Work with our Senior Marketing Manager and Senior Data and Insights Manager to identify patterns in giving using data from our CRM and drive donations through appeals and public campaigns across the organisation
- Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: Develop an annual programme of stewardship and contact opportunities
- Campaigns: Develop and deliver engaging campaigns across multiple channels (direct mail, digital, email, on-site) aiming to grow a sustainable donor base. Monitoring and reporting on campaign performance using data to optimise and drive continuous improvement and donor retention
- Onsite Giving: Maximise onsite giving opportunities including naming around animal habitats and our newly installed Celebration Tree, alongside site wide donation boxes, point of sale items, round-up giving and contactless. About the role
This is a new role which will help to deliver a pilot strategy to grow long-term sustainable income by enhancing Breast Cancer Now’s on-the-ground presence locally.
Joining the relationship fundraising team and working closely with the high value partnerships team, this role is responsible for cultivating new long-term relationships and, in turn, driving fundraising income.
Uniquely, the post holder will help to implement a large-scale trial to further grow Tickled Pink, an award-winning partnership between Asda, Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel! which has raised over £100m. The goal is to grow both engagement and future income by directly supporting colleagues across Asda stores in their local area.
In addition, this role will establish and grow a portfolio of supporters in Bristol and the southwest by cultivating relationships with new and warm supporters including individuals, clubs, societies and local companies. It will also line manage a community fundraiser covering a patch in London and the southeast.
What’s special about this role is that you’ll be working alongside a supportive, innovative and fun team which has delivered continued growth in fundraising over the last five years.
The is the first time the charity has had a community fundraiser locally based in the southwest. It is one of five new roles being introduced as part of the pilot, and the goal is that they all become permanent.

Primary location of role and hybrid working

We are looking for a highly engaging Leadership & Volunteering Manager to lead and grow our leadership training programming, and to lead on the recruitment, development and retention of our pool of volunteers. Leadership Training & Development

Oversee and continue to codify OSH’s LIT (Leaders in Training) course, including in-person and online sessions, and mentoring LITs on their first residential. This will include hands-on delivery, managing logistics, and working with volunteers and facilitators.

We provide specialist immigration advice as well as a broad range of practical, social and therapeutic support services. Our Nest Project brings advice and improved awareness and knowledge to migrant families with young children, through community settings in Lambeth and Southwark. The role
The Development Manager (Philanthropy and Fundraising) position marks an exciting new chapter at The Carers' Centre. In this pivotal role, you will lead income generation efforts for our forward-thinking local charity. You will be responsible for identifying new sources of unrestricted income, strengthening existing income streams, and building strong relationships with both new and established supporters.
Success in this role will be evaluated based on mutually agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) such as campaign engagement, donor retention and income growth.
We are seeking a visionary strategist who thrives on collaboration and is committed to helping to secure the long-term sustainability of The Carers' Centre, ensuring a brighter future for unpaid carers. As the Development Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating impactful donor relationships and building a dynamic fundraising team to drive increased donor retention and income for the charity.

You will play a key role in the financial sustainability of the organisation, helping to shape the future of support for unpaid carers in BaNES. With a proven record in philanthropy and at least one other income generation activity, alongside effective management skills you’ll have the knack for crafting compelling results driven proposals that resonate with donors and funders alike. Your prowess as a skilled communicator allows you to expertly forge tailored relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders, whether in the digital platforms or face to face encounters.
As an expert in organisation, you possess the capability to conceive and deliver productive income generation strategies with finesse. Your understanding of fundraising legislation equips you with the knowledge needed to navigate the intricacies of this field. In short, you're the dynamo we need to help drive our mission forward.

Key duties and responsibilities
Main responsibilities
In line with our income generation strategy:
· Lead on the strategic planning and implementation of income generation activities to help build sustainability of The Carers’ Centre and its services for 19,600 unpaid carers across Bath and North East Somerset.
· Develop and implement a stewardship programme for donors and funders building support and securing new income for The Carers’ Centre.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues to help deliver The Carers’ Centre vision for carers.
Income generation
· Design and deliver a diverse income generation plan to support philanthropy and fundraising in line with The Carers’ Centre Strategic Plan.
· Co-produce annual philanthropy and fundraising targets and take the lead responsibility to instigate and co-ordinate the activity that will achieve them.
· Build long-lasting relationships with key local philanthropists, donors, and funders.
· Work proactively with colleagues to research, identify and scope a portfolio of compelling projects and proposals that will appeal to donors and funders.
· Work closely with communication colleagues to develop appropriate communications campaigns and activities for different supporter groups.
· Contribute towards the charity’s communications and marketing strategy ensuring fundraising is embedded.
· Develop, maintain, and implement relevant policies and procedures in line with our growth plans.

· Provide effective line management and support to direct reports to help them maximise their potential and effectiveness.

· Work with the Carbon Champion, the Senior Leadership Team and small working group of colleagues to look for ways to reduce carbon footprint across the organisation, make cost savings on energy usage and achieve targets throughout the Carbon Footprint project
· Support the Carbon Champion by implementing environmentally friendly practices to help reduce our carbon footprint.
