An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Westway Trust as our Adult & Community Learning Manager, responsible for leading the Adult learning provision within a community setting.
You will work closely with the Senior Manager: Learning to ensure that the design and delivery of the Trust's Learning Programme is innovative, creative and responsive to the creative, cultural, practical and wellbeing needs of community interest.
You will be an ambitious individual who will demonstrate an entrepreneurial flair in identifying and implementing opportunities to develop unique and distinctive learning opportunities specifically oriented to the communities of North Kensington.

Strategic Leadership and Curriculum Development
- Clear understanding of the national and local policy context of the Adult Education Sector with a focus on: impact on funding or impact on the future curriculum.
- Ensuring the curriculum aligns with educational standards, accreditation requirements, and community demands.
- Leading on the servicing and management of specific regulatory and statutory inspections.
- Develop and articulate a compelling purpose and identity for the Learning Programme to reflect the Trust’s strategic objectives, ensuring that all activities are aligned to this purpose and driving performance.
Programme Management
- Contribute to RBKC self-assessment process, including supporting the Senior Manager: Learning in analysing data and drafting appropriate sections of the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Offer clear academic and managerial leadership to all teaching staff involved with the programme and to deploy and organise the team in a way that makes the most effective and efficient use of all team members.
- Working with the team to foster a culture of pride and ownership, setting high expectations and supporting operational discipline and best practice.
- Ensure the effective management of the Adult Learning budget.
- Provide timely and impactful information to the Board of Trustees committees and in support of funding bids as required.
- Co-ordinate the assessment and internal verification process where appropriate, including liaison with the external verifier and preparing for the External Verifier visit.
- To carry out internal verification as required and adhere to quality frameworks, such as the Education Inspection Framework, Internal Quality Assurance and External Quality Assurance requirements.

Essential Experience, Skills and Attributes
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience and up-to-date knowledge of policies, initiatives and developments of Adult Education.
- Designing and delivering an innovative and distinctive creative/cultural practice curriculum programme in response to identified market needs and to successfully attract new students.
- Managing a diverse team in an educational setting or learning environment, proactively creating a positive working environment and effectively leading a high performing team that contributes to organisational success.
- Working with awarding and Quality Assurance bodies to ensure compliance with identified standards.

As the new Challenge Events Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing The Passage's Challenge Events Fundraising strategy, designed to inspire and engage both existing and new supporters, ultimately building a stable and sustainable income pipeline.

A new role, the Fianacial Accountant will support the Head of Finance in managing GWT’s day to day finances as well as providing routine financial advice to the head office staff.

To meet the growing demand for charity shops, Southern Hospice Group is seeking a Retail Property Manager to join its Retail Team in this newly created role.
With ambitious targets to grow our retail portfolio, you will be responsible for finding new charity shop locations for us, whether that’s on the traditional High Street, an out-of-town retail park, or an industrial estate warehouse. We’re ready to consider all options where our retail vision can be realised.
You will also manage all aspects of lease renewals for our existing property portfolio of 34 shops and 2 warehouses across the South Coast, and ensure that our shops maintain an inviting, and enjoyable shopping experience for our customers, reflecting the standards that our three Hospices set.

The Community Development & Health Programme Manager is responsible for the ongoing strategic development of the programme area, as well as maintaining oversight of the contracted delivery across its broad but integrated remit. The Programme Manager also has a responsibility to be visible in the communities we serve locally and to attend meetings, events and community profile raising within and without normal working hours, as needed.
This role leads the operational line management and direction of a multidisciplinary team of Project Managers, Seniors & Development Workers, who are themselves are responsible for designing, fundraising for, delivering & evaluating services and activities which cover the needs of the entire community, across the whole age range to meet identified community needs and with a range of VCSE and statutory partners.
The aim of these activities, services and events is to deliver support, develop learning, and build VCSE infrastructure, capacity and sustainability to deliver individual and community changes for those facing challenges. These currently include community events; community hub development; youth and family work; emergency and community food provision through community supermarkets, East Sussex and Lewes District Food Partnerships; community capacity building; VCSE infrastructure support; healthy lifestyles activities and community-rooted approaches to addressing health inequalities; access to green, open and blue spaces for health and wellbeing; development of active travel; addressing environmental issues and climate change at a community level.
This work is achieved through the coordination and development of appropriate partnerships, and initiating and delivering activities and services through community development approaches which are community-rooted and build stronger, healthier and inclusive communities.
With responsibility for bid writing in support of SCDA’s charitably funded activities and services, and collaboration on larger tenders for SCDA community initiatives & services, the post holder will ensure quality of provision and that those projects run to agreed budgets and schedules.
