About the role

We are seeking a passionate and strategic Head of Community Fundraising to join our team and play a pivotal role in developing Dementia UK’s Community Fundraising strategy, providing excellent fundraising experiences and delivering high quality supporter journeys which maximise short, medium and long-term income generation for Dementia UK.

Leading the Community Fundraising team, you will play a critical role in ensuring Dementia UK can continue to expand its vital services for families affected by dementia. The RSPCA Woodside Animal Centre is seeking a Head of Income Generation to provide expertise, leadership, vision and guidance to drive forward the strategic direction of their Income Generation programme.

Founded in 1881, RSPCA Leicestershire Branch has been helping animals in need for over one hundred years. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Income Generation strategy for RSPCA Woodside and is an exciting opportunity for a fundraising leader, with the support of the CEO, to make the role their own in a post with scope and opportunities for career progression. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, researching and pursuing new opportunities for fundraising and revenue generation. The post will set and achieve ambitious income targets across multiple income streams, including corporate sponsorships, major donors, trusts and grants, and digital fundraising initiatives. It will also lead on growing the individual giving, legacy giving, and major donor programmes.
 
Candidates will have a proven track record in leading successful fundraising or income generation strategies, as well as a strong background in managing diverse income streams, including individual giving, corporate partnerships, trusts and grant applications. The Finance department are looking to recruit an integral new role as Finance, Grants and Contracts Business Partner, reporting into the Senior Finance Business Partner.

This role will manage all BHA led and coordinated stakeholder grant applications to industry funders (including HBLB, Racing Foundation). This will involve managing the grant process from application through to drawdown and reporting to funders (including coordinating KPIs). Support with internal monthly management accounts reporting, as well as the key industry forums such as the Industry Programme Board.

You will be responsible in leading the proactive management of the BHA’s major contracts including LGC (equine drug testing) and Weatherby’s (Racing administration).

Operational finance support will also be required for routine monthly transactional posting, Ad-hoc finance department tasks and projects including support of business partners.

The successful candidate will be highly organised with an ability to multitask and deal with high volumes of work. You will be able to gain an understanding of the wider team’s deadlines to ensure tasks are completed within desired timeframes, while maintaining a calm demeanour. Our expert team of canine behaviourists provide behavioural support and advice to teams within Battersea, members of the public, and the rescue organisations we work with around the world. You will be working as part of a care group to create behaviour modification plans, support with handling difficult dogs and make recommendations, along with the individual care group, for individual dog outcomes.

· By capturing community views through people’s experiences and by understanding and reporting on these experiences to health and social care services.

· By actively promoting community involvement in the commissioning, provision and scrutiny of health and social services, giving people and communities a stronger voice to influence and challenge how health and social care services are provided within their locality.

· By undertaking community-led research in priority areas to examine the impact of health and social care services, its pathways and make any recommendations for change.

· Healthwatch can monitor and review how local services are planned and run (except for social care facilities for children and young people) and have the statutory power to ‘Enter and View’ premises delivering health and social care services. This enables authorised representatives of Healthwatch to observe the nature and quality of services, report on their findings and make recommendations so that local authorities and health services can exercise their duty to respond. 

· By providing Information & Signposting Service to help people understand the services available in their local area and to make informed choices about different health and social care services.

KEY TASKS:

To work closely with the Healthwatch Service Manager, Healthwatch NN Advisory Group and the Support Northamptonshire’s CEO to:

Main duties and responsibilities

· Organise, design and carry out participatory qualitative fieldwork. 

· Designing peer-research models of social research investigation.

· Conducting qualitative analysis of data conducted through interviews, focus groups, workshops or other methods, with a focus on lesser heard voices.

· Carrying out quantitative data analysis using Excel.

· Utilising a wide variety of research approaches, particularly participatory approaches, which inform, involve and bring together individuals, groups, service providers and decision makers.

Research and analysis

· Carry out priority areas of research, using a range of methods and sources of data, on health and social care. 

· Produce high quality qualitative analysis, reports and presentations for a range of audiences. 

· Facilitate co-production activity, working with experts by experience, service users, carers, and peer researchers.

· Work with Healthwatch NN staff and volunteers and provide regular progress feedback.

· Analyse quantitative information gathered through research and engagement collected by Healthwatch NN to draw out trends in relation to health and social care service provision. 

· Translate research findings into practical learning for developing and improving health and social care services.

· Take responsibility for data and project management and administration as it relates to our social research activity. 

· Collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues to develop the annual research programme.

· Lead and oversee the delivery of the annual research programme, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.

· Utilise creative and appropriate methodologies to design and manage research projects, employing both quantitative and qualitative methods.

· Apply various research techniques, including document analysis, surveys, focus groups, interviews, and case studies, to gather relevant information.

· Produce research-based briefings and provide support to stakeholders in understanding key points.

· Analyse and evaluate research findings, interpreting data to identify key issues and develop actionable recommendations.

· Present research data in formats suitable for different audiences, including reports and infographics.

· Collaborate with CEO and team to gain insight into themes identified through community-based activities.

· Support in developing engagement activities based on service user feedback and intelligence.

· Identify simple interventions that Healthwatch NN can implement to impact service improvement.

· Develop an impact reporting system to measure and communicate Healthwatch NNl's impact effectively.

· Liaise with admin regarding information requests, research promotion, and evidence collection from web and social media.

· Analyse the Healthwatch NN database to produce representation reports for commissioners, providers, stakeholders, and the Executive Board, informing them of current trends.

· Provide regular performance reports for the Advisory group.

· Produce reports from the Healthwatch NN database for multidisciplinary boards such as the Health and Wellbeing Board, Joint Strategic Needs Assessment, Overview and Scrutiny Committee etc.

Team working

· Train and support people to take on peer research roles, putting control and ownership of the research process with people interested in and affected by health and social care services. 

· Support those actively involved in Healthwatch NN to develop a shared understanding of the implications of gaps in involvement of people from different communities.

In consultation with the Healthwatch NN Service Manager and Support Northamptonshire CEO:

· Represent Healthwatch NN at strategic meetings, conferences and public engagement events as required, acting as a spokesperson for Healthwatch NN at such events.

· Deliver presentations to the public, stakeholders and partner organisations. 

· Engage with the Healthwatch network, and health and social care system partners across Northamptonshire and neighbouring area as appropriate.

The Partnerships and Safeguarding Manager takes a leading role in building meaningful and lasting relationships with our school partners across London, Leicester and Portsmouth. The role also co-leads safeguarding at Greenhouse Sports. As one of the charities Designated Safeguarding Leads you will take responsibility for ensuring that Greenhouse’s delivery has the safety and wellbeing of young people at its heart. 

Key Responsibilities:​

• Manage a portfolio of school partners, leading retention strategies and driving new partner negotiations forward.

• Lead on the resolution of issues as they arise and all partner contract negotiations.

• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, including liaising with external bodies (LADO, MASH) to support on-going cases. ​

• Maintain safeguarding logs and develop and deliver training.

• Oversee and improve policies and provide regular touch-points for staff.

• Ensure your knowledge of safeguarding and the education sector is up-to-date, including KCSIE as well as wider sector trends.​

MediCinema is a leading and growing UK charity with a mission to improve the wellbeing of patients, their families and carers through the magic of the shared cinema experience. We do this by building and running  high specification cinemas in hospitals, bringing the magic of the silver screen to patients young and old, for free. We have an ambitious growth plan in place for the charity to continue to maximise services at our current sites, to build new MediCinemas and expand services to new hospitals across the country ensuring nationwide reach and impact. We are now looking to expand our Fundraising and Devlopment team in this newly created role. You will have relevant experience likely to have been gained over 1 to 3 years working in fundraising, supporter engagement, or a similar role within a charity or not-for-profit organisation. You must be confident using CRM systems such as Donorfy or similar, and in writing donor communications. Our team is passionate about the work we do and it is crucial that you have a genuine interest in the role fundraising plays in the charity sector as well as a resonance with our cause.

About the role

· Assist the Fundraising department in planning and delivering national and large-scale fundraising activities.

· Assist the Individual Giving Manager in the coordination and delivery of fundraising campaigns and initiatives including our annual Christmas Appeal, ensuring they are executed effectively and efficiently.

· Support the delivery of digital fundraising activities in line with the Fundraising Strategic Framework.

· Support the administration of the individual giving fundraising programme in collaboration with the wider team.

· Assist the Head of High Value and Individual Giving Manager to administer donor support communications.

· Ensure all donors are thanked in a timely manner via e-mail and letters and accurately recorded on our CRM.

· Maintain and update supporter and donor records within the CRM database ensuring they are accurate.

· Support the refinement of systems and processes to enhance donor experience.

· Serve as the first point of contact for Community Fundraising, including emailing and posting fundraising packs and providing fundraising guidance and advice.

· Maintain and develop our low to mid-level Trust and Foundation income, delivering applications and reporting using our Case for Support.

· Respond to general enquiries received over the phone and through the fundraising and general enquires inboxes.

· Liaise closely with colleagues across the charity to support the development of fundraising collateral and materials for fundraising activities.
