Facilities Coordinator

The main purpose of this role is is to deliver day-to-day facilities and conference/event services. You will be assisting in the building maintenance and support of general facilities requirements. This will include supporting the Events@no6 commercial team and clients in set up and ‘in meeting’ delivery of AV equipment and service. You will also be responsible for porterage of furniture, deliveries, post, equipment etc. for event and facilities support.
You will be essential in the background operation of the college building and creating a smoothly run environment. You will be strongly involved with aspects of Health & Safety, maintenance of the building which can include liaising with third parties; including contractors such as plumbers, engineers etc. and monitoring stocks of house supplies, stationery and ordering requirements from approved suppliers as required, in accordance with the purchasing procedures.

What the job involves
We’re looking an Events and Community Fundraising Coordinator to join our high performing Events and Community Team. The team are driven to maximise opportunities, we aim to reach ambitious targets and provide an excellent supporter experience.
Our team raise funds through a range of activities including:

- Virtual products (e.g. The Month Series)

You’ll be supporting our third-party events programme and be our first point of contact for our fundraisers. You'll provide admin support for our registration processes and support fundraisers through telephone, email, and social media channels. From registration to the end of their supporter journey you'll help motivate during challenges, offer fundraising advice and ensure thanks at the end of a first-class experience.
Whilst third party events will be your primary area of responsibility across different types of events, you’ll also get the chance to work across teams to provide support where needed during busy periods of activity.
This role works with data through maintaining our Raiser’s Edge database. You'll also update records on JustGiving and Enthuse. This requires accuracy and working under the requirements of GDPR.
You’ll also work with our Communications teams supports the planning and delivery of our activity. You'll help engage with our digital adverts and identify compelling supporter stories. This helps to raise the profile of our fundraising products, as well as prostate cancer and Prostate Cancer UK.

Main duties and responsibilities
- Undertake planning, coordination, production and stakeholder-relations duties for the major events programme.
- Manage internal approval processes, including required applications to Highways, Environmental Health, City Surveyor's and other internal teams.
- Coordinate production logistics, including infrastructure, power, cleansing and security.
- Support the Events Manager by ensuring compliance across licencing, health and safety and other areas; creating, collecting and processing relevant event documents supported by the role (e.g. risk assessment and method statements, public liability insurance certification etc).
- Support the Events Manager to programme and schedule major event content, contributing ideas, assessing timings in relation to the proposed calendar, and advising on logistics.
- Attend all events designated for the role and assume an event/stage manager function as appropriate, responding to any issues as they arise during the event (deferring to the Events Manager where necessary) and ensuring that the highest standards of production and visitor experience are maintained at all times.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure all relevant teams are aware of the events programme, there are no clashes with the wider organisation's events calendar and all relevant information is circulated internally and communicated effectively.
- Be the main point of contact for artists, event producers, production teams, agencies, suppliers and contractors regarding all event specifications and requirements.

The Individual Giving Fundraiser will play a vital role in increasing income from our existing supporters. You will support donor acquisition as well as taking the lead on retention of our supporters across multiple channels including cash appeals, regular giving, lottery and in celebration giving. - Experience of working in a fundraising management role or equivalent, with a track record of developing and maintaining relationships with partners and/or potential supporters that ultimately generate income.
- Experience of managing a trusts fundraising programme, and developing a trusts pipeline or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the current trusts fundraising market, including potential supporters.
- Proven ability in developing and producing effective, cohesive, motivating and inspiring proposals, approaches, presentations and funding reports.

The Role
This is a work from home post and can be based remotely anywhere within the UK. There will be the need to travel to meetings in London occasionally and travel to our services across England and Scotland on an ad hoc basis.
As the newly appointed Business Development Finance Partner, you will work closely with the Head of Business Development and Director in identifying and evaluating new opportunities as well as working across the Organisation to support ongoing contract management and financial business management activities.
You will support our operational leadership across the UK to evaluate, monitor and review the financial aspects of new business opportunities, leading on financial elements of tenders and grants as well as contract management and risk appraisal processes.
The position provides an ideal opportunity for individuals with a strong finance background (qualified or part-qualified accountants) to develop and enhance their careers through transitioning into a business management role.
You will be part of a passionate and skilled Business Development team, supporting the vital work delivered by Phoenix Futures across the UK.
About You

World Child Cancer is seeking an experienced corporate and philanthropy fundraiser to join our growing team and play a vital role in improving the chances of survival and quality of life of children with cancer in under-resourced countries.
About World Child Cancer
Over 400,000 children worldwide develop cancer each year. Childhood cancer is most often curable, with over 80% survival rate in high income countries. However, in many low-and-middle-income countries survival rates are often 25% or lower.
World Child Cancer’s goal is to help redress that inequity and improve the chances of children with cancer to survive and thrive in under-resourced countries. We currently work with local hospitals in 12 countries in Africa, Asia and Mexico to enable children with cancer to have equal access to the best possible treatment and care through awareness raising on signs of childhood cancer, providing financial, logistical and emotional support to address barriers to access treatment, training of healthcare workers and advocacy.
Overview of the role
This newly created Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager role will play a key part in raising income from companies and philanthropists to help achieve World Child Cancer’s mission.
You will be passionate about enabling children with cancer to have equitable access to quality treatment wherever they are born. We are looking for someone experienced in corporate and philanthropy fundraising, who is proactive, confident in engaging with high value funders, able to develop strong internal and external relationships, has strong verbal and written communication skills, a collaborative way of working and experience in developing new business.

Educated to degree level or equivalent

Experience of successfully developing cultivation plans to engage new funders
Ability to research and identify potential new funders
