LSO Discovery is seeking a proactive, creative, thoughtful and highly organised individual to manage and support projects within the Community programme. With creative communities sitting at the heart of the Arts Council England’s strategy, the role will be key to supporting the LSO’s strategic work in the community. Working across a range of projects, the role will allow for the individual to both support the Community Senior Projects Manager as well as take a lead on managing a few of their own projects. The programme areas covered in this role include:
- Inclusion: through LSO Create, delivering creative sessions for neurodiverse, disabled and non-disabled adults, as well as access to LSO open rehearsals and planning/delivery of the Relaxed Lunchtime concert series at LSO St Luke’s.
- Health and Wellbeing:
- Hospitals programme delivered in partnership with NHS trusts, including projects with children, parents, older adults and NHS staff.
- Older Adults: LSO Connect brings communities together through creative music-making, offering opportunities for sharing stories and musical exploration in a positive, creative and kind environment, with the intention of reducing loneliness and social isolation.
- Families: workshop programmes and concerts for Families with Under 5s, both at LSO St Luke’s and with children’s centres and Islington-based early years service provider Bright Start.

We are looking for someone with the following experience:
- A minimum of two to three years of relevant professional experience, preferably in an arts organisation
- Experience of managing or administering education or participatory projects
- A strong commitment to music learning and participation

About the team
Kinship is in the third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We have created 145 peer support groups and supported and trained kinship carers to create and lead their groups in a way which meets their needs.
With a new contract from the Department for Education, we’re now entering a new phase of our service with a focus on:
- creating 90 new sustainable peer support groups in areas of most need over 21 months;
- sustaining and developing the current 145 existing groups; and
- providing support and help to build a sustainable and welcoming community for all peer support groups across England.
This role will mobilise, develop and innovate our existing offer into a new Peer Support Hub with the focus on supporting sustainability and building resilience of peer support groups and their leaders. You will support and build our Kinship peer support community.
You’ll work with group leaders to develop a central hub of accessible and useful resources to help them to sustain their groups, working with colleagues right across Kinship to promote consistent access to services and activities (training, programmes, information, advice and campaigns), building a joined-up user experience.
About the role
The role of the Peer Support Hub Lead is to oversee and take accountability for sustaining kinship peer support groups across England in priority areas as part of a new hub and spoke delivery model.
In this context, your team is the centralised ‘hub’ of the service, delivering an exciting programme of training, speakers, toolkits and resources to help peer support group leaders develop, build and sustain their group well.
Your national team of three will make sure groups feel connected and supported, learn from each other and build a powerful and resilient peer community.

In the past five years of running our Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program, we have found that the best predictor of which incubated charities will end up causing the highest impact is the quality of the co-founding team. As we scale up, one of our biggest bottlenecks is identifying highly talented, value-aligned people out of the thousands of candidates from all over the world who apply to our programs. The difference in outcomes between a bad and a good hire can be huge, but this variation is even more extreme when it comes to co-founders. The initial staff of an organization set the pace, tone, and culture for the long-term. We estimate the impact of each average alumna/alumnus of our Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program to be equivalent to donating $200,000-350,000 USD / year to effective charities. We are seeking to expand our committed team of Programme Coordinators and Senior Coordinators who work directly with young people, supporting them to discover and achieve their best next step on their route to a successful career. Our Coordinators work with young people studying in schools and colleges as well as young people who are currently unemployed or not in any form of training. Working closely with Careers Leads, Pastoral Support Workers and Referral Partners this role requires excellent relationship management skills to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and young people as well as local construction and built environment employers who are fundamental to the successful delivery of inspiring world of work programmes.
We would expect Senior Coordinator to be experienced practitioners who can take responsibility for a significant area of work, proactively driving good practice across organisation and demonstrating a constructive and solutions-focussed leadership.

Role description
As Commercial Sales & Events Manager you’ll take the lead in maximising venue hire and events income to support the organisation’s charitable aims. You’ll possess the skills and experience to organise and deliver weddings, corporate events and venue hires and work with our outsourced caterers and other contractors to ensure a first-class customer experience. You’ll also be working with our outsourced film contractors to secure bookings for filming and photo shoots across the Estate. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are a key part of the role, as you’ll be liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and staff, as is the ability to develop new business and leads. In addition, you’ll need excellent project management skills and the ability to develop and manage budgets. The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. The role
Is an exciting new edition to the TUR team, created to capitalise on the fact that the number of businesses in our catchment area is 45000+, but we’re not trying to talk to all of them, just target a few – ideally by gaining referrals and recommendations. So the job is to proactively find those local businesses happy to talk to us, understand what they might be looking for by partnering with a charity, share our brilliant story along with the business case (which is strong) for them to get involved with us in some way. We have made an excellent start, we already have a small number of great corporate partners, and this job is about taking it all on to the next level. As you would expect the role is about creating contacts, networking, maximising the face-to-face time with prospective partners and where possible gaining referrals. And, ultimately this is all because, the bigger our portfolio of corporate partners all feeling great about their involvement with us, the more able we are to raise the funds we need to keep up with an ever-increasing demand for our services.
About You
You live within - or know well, West/Central London, you probably need a job with some working flexibility and want to have genuine belief in the product or service you’re talking about. You have a CV that demonstrates solid experience in a comparable role in a ‘business-to-business’ environment, a role - the success of which, is dependent on the levels of energy and proactivity you provide. This could be in another charity, CIC or other Non-Profit organisation. However, if you have a solid B2B background and want to explore a change of direction you are also very welcome to apply. As Senior Philanthropy Manager within our Fundraising Team, you will focus and lead on:
- External facing relationship manager, both building new relationships and effectively stewarding existing ones
- Support the High Value Lead to set budgets and conduct regular reforecasting
- Maintain an effective pipeline of philanthropy prospects
- Ensure a high standard of impact reporting to donors
- Work with stakeholders across RNID (particularly in the programmes teams) to ensure that propositions are compelling and develop funding cases for support and accompanying funding budgets
- Ensure exceptional relationship management experiences for high value donors, including cultivation planning
- Effectively deploy senior staff and volunteers across RNID to work with high value donors, including appropriate briefings and direction on relationship aims
- Lead on operational improvements on day-to-day systems and processes
- Directly line manage 4 staff members
You will drive the high value supporter programme internally to RNID and externally with donors, personally working to secure gifts from individuals and trusts & foundations as well as driving excellence across your team.
You will have experience of developing and managing relationships with donors (directly and through peer-to-peer relationships) worth 6 figures and above, alongside pipeline building and proposition development.
You will have considerable experience of presenting proposals and reports to prospective and existing donors, able to translate the work of RNID to inspire high value donors and secure significant long-term gifts.
This role will be operating at a senior level within RNID, contributing to plans and strategies, and have line management experience.
