The Really NEET Project is a Post 16 Training Provider that works with 16-24 year old’s with SEN/D who are currently NEET or at risk of being NEET (not in education, employment or training). Our approach is very much person centered and based around meeting the needs of the learners. Students are taught either one-to-one or in small groups (never more than 10 students, though typically around 5), so being able to build relationships is at the heart of what we do.

About the roles
These new posts offer an exciting opportunity to play a driving role in launching a new package of services for young people across the economically disadvantaged but beautifully diverse East Ham area of Newham. Each role is 36 hours per week and for an initial fixed term period of 2 years pending further funding. Our ideal candidates will have significant youth work experience, a passion for working with young people from diverse backgrounds and a high level of motivation to develop an excellent and impactful youth offer. With one role based predominantly at BDCA (London E6) and the other at RP (London E12), you will work together to plan, lead, manage and evaluate sessions in venues across the East Ham community, ensuring project outcomes are effectively delivered. Key shared project outcomes are:
- Provide safe places to enjoy = at least 6 venues will be open for a total of 1759 hours of youth activities each year.
- Increase youth engagement = Each year, at least 495 unique young people will access our regular activities and accredited courses and feel a greater sense of community connection as a result.
- Grow youth leadership = Each year, at least 45 young people will receive intensive year-long support to achieve their best and build their hope and agency to make positive change in their own lives and in their wider community too through accredited youth leadership courses and social action campaigns.
- Deliver inspiring and diverting activities = Each year, the programme will deliver at least 25 co-produced activities including sports, creative arts, wellbeing workshops, free play, tuition support, educational workshops, offsite trips, training and mentoring.
Each role will however have slightly different areas of responsibility as follows:
Youth co-ordinator 1 (BDCA)
This post holder will be specifically responsible for coordinating: four outdoor MUGA sports sessions and one outdoor BMX session per week; year round Saturday volunteering sessions for young sports leaders; support to complete Duke of Edinburgh award scheme led by specialist partner and an annual music production project led by specialist provider. They will also be directly delivering: three virtual activity videos per month; two annual residentials for 15 participants; three-week summer volunteering placement with accredited Sports Leadership Award for 30 participants; monthly Stepping Up life skills training and social action campaign planning workshops plus regular mentoring calls for 15 participants; annual music premiere event for up to 100 attendees; and 10 day trips per year for up to 15 participants.
Youth co-ordinator 2 (RP)
This post holder will be specifically responsible for coordinating and delivering five evening youth clubs per week including a tuition club, journalism club and three drop-in free play sessions with creative workshops. They will be charged with leading the project’s monthly youth forums during the above sessions and also supporting participants to attend borough-wide Youth Citizens Assemblies and Area Youth Forum meetings. So as well as delivering high quality inclusive activities in safe supervised spaces, this new Project Coordinator will focus on increasing access to platforms where youth voices can be heard and younger leaders are supported to help steer local services to boost engagement and impact.

- Establish and maintain effective relationships with the Ministries of Health and Education and other partners in order to advance sustainable national plans and integrate them into the existing public health delivery systems
- Lead on supporting country teams in developing a system for monitoring and evaluating in Inclusive Eye Health.
- Develop relationships with other NGOs to support funding and delivery of services, including NGOs in Covid, WASH sector
- Represent Sightsavers at appropriate national/regional/global forums
- Assist project teams and country Ministries of Health in disseminating information on IEH activities, studies, research and lessons learned at national and international level.

- Organise workshops, creative briefs, research and interviews to bring to life two stages of the project:
- the culmination of the 'Source' stage (build up a data picture to show the reality women and girls experience in public spaces, and their vision for a different future),
- the beginning of the 'Solve' stage (bring partners together to design tangible solutions to make public space infrastructure, and the behaviour within spaces, safer and more inclusive. - Collaborate with NGO partners, agencies, artists and grassroots activists to hit delivery targets and bring the project to life.

The Head of Syria and Iraq Detention Project is responsible for overseeing Reprieve’s work on detention cases in North East Syria (NES) and Iraq.
There are currently thousands of people indefinitely detained in camps in North East Syria, in conditions the UN has described as “deplorable and inhumane”. Others have been transferred to Iraq or Assad-controlled Syria, where they have faced torture and the death penalty without anything resembling due process.
Reprieve’s Syria and Iraq Projects aim to ensure that individuals detained in Syria and Iraq are treated in line with international law, and not subjected to the death penalty, extrajudicial execution, arbitrary detention, torture or rendition. We also aim to challenge and change flawed ‘war on terror’ narratives and legal and political frameworks – including in the UK, Europe and the US – that engender state-sanctioned discrimination and abuse and undermine the rule of law and human rights.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies using a dynamic approach in which each of Reprieve’s methodologies—casework, investigation, litigation, political and public engagement, outreach and support for affected communities—connect with one another in pursuit of saving clients’ lives and addressing structural rights violations. You are an experienced campaigner and advocate, with significant legal, casework or litigation experience and strong writing skills. You have demonstrated experience leading teams and managing a complex portfolio of cases.

The National House Project takes a ground-breaking approach through its commitment to enabling young people leaving care to achieve successful independence. The Project was co-designed with young people and works on cooperative principles through which adults and young people leaving care work together to refurbish properties that become their homes. We would like the successful candidate to be passionate about our work, with an ability to engage the young people our work reaches.
The first Local House Project was set-up in 2015 in Stoke-on-Trent with funding from the Dept for Education (DfE). We are a rapidly growing organisation with plans to develop nationally. We have developed an ambitious strategy to grow our fundraising; independently from the DfE, over the next five years. This role will involve the establishment and development of a new fundraising team (1 WTE initially). As our first fundraiser, the successful candidate will need to support the wider team to understand how their day-to-day roles will help with the growth of fundraising income. Working closely with our CEO, you will play a crucial role in our team, implementing the National House Project’s fundraising strategy and overseeing all our fundraising activity.
We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual who can bring their experience, skills and enthusiasm to develop exciting new opportunities. You will be a self-starter and strong communicator, with the ability to build effective and long-term relationships both internally and externally. You will have proven experience of inspiring and motivating donors and fundraising partners, enabling them to maximise all fundraising activities and deliver great results.
The post covers a wide remit of fundraising activities including Major Giving, Corporate Supporters and grant giving Trust and Foundations. We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with experience in securing donations from major donor and/or corporate sources. An understanding and appreciation of the importance of donor cultivation and stewardship is key.
The fundraising team will be supported by our administrative staff, and external fundraising and marketing & communications consultants initially, whilst we seek to embed our newly developed fundraising strategy. As the team grows, this new role offers exciting progression routes involving both line management and hands-on delivery across Major Giving, Corporate supporters and grant giving Trusts & Foundations.
You will be based at the NHP office in Crewe a minimum of 2 days per week. While your remaining time will be flexible, you will be expected to travel to Local House Projects and attend meetings with donors and partners across the country on a regular basis.
