We are looking for a Senior Project Lead to champion our young people and secure them work experience opportunities that middle class peers often source from friends and family networks. In Tower Hamlets, The Switch steps in to provide that vital support and open doors to the world of work.

As a Senior Project Lead within the Work Experience team, you will take ownership of key elements of the delivery and development of The Switch's work experience programmes. You will manage relationships with employers and schools, lead on specific projects and workstreams, and provide oversight and support to ensure programmes are delivered effectively, safely and in line with agreed targets. 

You will take a proactive role in identifying and developing new employer relationships, coordinating complex placements and supporting the Work Experience Manager with the planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of projects. You will also provide guidance and support to colleagues where appropriate, using your experience to help ensure consistency and quality across the team's work. 

As a small charity we are able to provide a great work-life balance with early finishes on Fridays, Christmas shut down, training opportunities, a friendly office near Spitalfields, and a cash-back health plan.

This role is hybrid for the majority of weeks per year, with WFH normally 2-3 days per week. (NB Please note that during delivery weeks, the team is responsible for providing responsive support to employers and schools. In case of any issues, you may be required to work from the office up to five days per week during these periods.)

What is the overall purpose of the role?

At Youth Action Alliance, our mission is to support the personal and social development (their values, beliefs, ideas and skills) of the young people living in Kensington and Chelsea, enabling them to increase their resilience and skills in the present and promote their ambitions for the future.

We are ambitious to grow, to continue supporting more young people and influence positive change. To achieve this, we are seeking to appoint a Lead Worker for the Irish Traveller cohort to develop and deliver an innovative and progressive project in a safe, industrious, and supportive environment, working primarily with this community.

The role will cover Lead and Support Worker positions across the following projects :

Irish Traveller young people (Travellers project Lead) 11-19 years old, including;

●       Weekly workshop/sessions 

● Targeted mentoring and support - helping them to stay in education, enrol in college, seek work opportunities, and access additional support services.

● Off-site holiday activities

●       Outreach, detached work and networking

Please note, work may extend to ages 8–21, subject to funding.

Staying Connected project (Associate Lead) -young people 11-19 years old, including;

● Targeted one-to-one mentoring and support via face-to-face, online or via phone

●       Direct liaison and programme planning and development Staying Connected Project Lead

● Group support delivery

● Personal action plans, including progressive pathways

● Off-site holiday activities

●       Outreach, detached work and networking

Key Responsibilities

Programme Leadership & Delivery

• Plan and deliver an innovative, progressive programme of activities, developed in collaboration with young people and colleagues.
• Create safe, supportive spaces that foster personal and social development.
• Deliver 1 to1 and group support sessions through a variety of methods (in-person, phone, digital), providing advice, guidance, mentoring, and signposting to other services.
• Organise trips, workshops, and positive activities in line with the project delivery plan.

Project & Partnership Management

• Lead the day-to-day operational and administrative management of the project.
• Develop and manage partnerships with schools, local agencies, and trusted community stakeholders.
• Represent YAA at borough, London-wide, and partnership meetings to champion Traveller young people’s voices.
• Manage project budgets, expenditure records, and ensure assets and equipment are safeguarded.
• Supervise project staff, support workers, and facilitators, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance with YAA standards.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

• Record attendance, case notes, and data consistently and accurately in the online database.
• Capture and share the impact of young people’s journeys through case studies, feedback, quotes, photos, and video.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for senior management and the Board of Trustees.
• Contribute to fundraising efforts by demonstrating impact and supporting applications to secure sustainable funding.

Person Specification

Essential Skills & Experience

• A minimum Level 3 Youth Work qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong experience working with young people, ideally including the Traveller community.
• Skilled at building positive, trusting relationships with young people, families, and partners.
• Excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Confident communicator with strong literacy, report-writing, and presentation skills.
• Competent in MS Office (Word, Excel) and database systems for recording and reporting.
• A strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and safeguarding.

Desirable

• Experience within the charity, voluntary, or community sector.
• Understanding of the specific challenges facing Irish Traveller young people.
• Track record of partnership working and external stakeholder engagement.

Our partner is an international non-profit and social enterprise working across Asia to improve access to essential health and rehabilitation services. They are now entering an important stage of organisational development and are seeking an experienced finance systems and project lead to lead an ERP system implementation, and help strengthen financial visibility, reporting, controls and decision-making across their global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the selection, implementation and ongoing management of a new finance / ERP system across regional operations.
• Manage the full systems implementation process, including requirements gathering, vendor engagement, configuration, data migration, testing, training, go-live and post-implementation support.
• Ensure the system supports multi-country, multi-currency operations, donor and investor reporting, country-level management information and group reporting requirements.
• Strengthen financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and performance reporting across country operations.
• Improve visibility of costs, margins, cashflow, financial drivers and operational performance to support decision-making.
• Work with country teams to strengthen financial controls, expense management, reporting processes and day-to-day operational finance practices.
• Build finance systems capability across country teams through training, mentoring and practical support.
• Support financial planning and systems design for new country operations, expansion and organisational growth.

Person specification

The successful candidate will bring:

• Strong experience leading finance systems, ERP implementation or significant financial systems improvement projects.
• A professional accounting qualification, or equivalent senior finance and systems experience.
• Strong financial management skills, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and controls.
• Experience working across multi-country and multi-currency environments, preferably within an international not for profit organisation.
• Strong project management skills, including planning, delivery, stakeholder management, risk management and practical problem-solving.
• Experience supporting finance teams through change, including training, mentoring and building system adoption.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across cultures, time zones and different levels of finance capability.
• Experience working in South or Southeast Asia, or comparable international contexts, would be highly beneficial.
• Experience in organisations combining charitable, development, commercial or social enterprise objectives would also be helpful.

Ways of working

• The organisation is open to considering different working models, depending on the right person’s experience and availability. This could be a salaried appointment or a consultancy arrangement, and may be full-time or part-time.
• There is a defined overall budget for the role, and the final structure, time commitment and remuneration will be shaped around the preferred candidate’s experience, availability and proposed approach.
• The role is remote, with flexible working arrangements across time zones. Regular international travel to regional operations across South East Asia will be an important part of the role, with work-related travel expenses and per diems covered.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced recruitment professional to join a globally recognised organisation. Working as part of a collaborative international HR team, you will play a key role in shaping and embedding recruitment best practice across a workforce spanning 26 countries.
This is not a traditional recruitment role. Instead, it offers the opportunity to lead projects focused on recruitment governance, hiring capability, employer branding, candidate experience and recruitment transformation.

The Opportunity

Working closely with HR colleagues, hiring managers and senior stakeholders globally, you will review, enhance and embed recruitment practices across the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:
