Who we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced, people-oriented project manager who is excited to help us deliver and scale innovative data programmes. You will work directly with organisations from across the third sector to understand their missions and translate their challenges into well-scoped projects. You will also support teams of volunteer data experts to scope projects and deliver impactful data science solutions.

You don't need to write code or run analysis yourself, but you should be comfortable working alongside technical experts, asking the right questions to scope data projects, and translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders. You'll need to hold conversations with data scientists about what's feasible, help charity partners understand what's possible with their data, and know when to bring in additional technical expertise.

If you don’t have all the experience and skills listed below, please still consider applying. We don’t expect a candidate to have 100% of these, but we do want to know that you have relevant experience and an appetite to learn in other areas.

Essential skills and experience

• Project management: You are a skilled project manager, successfully leading projects involving multiple stakeholders from conception to completion. You have experience managing multiple projects at once and can successfully prioritise and juggle competing demands. You can plan ahead, allocate resources, identify and mitigate risks, and bring in additional expertise as required.
• Scoping and needs assessment: You have experience collaborating with clients/stakeholders to assess their challenges, translate them into project plans, evaluate their feasibility, and create delivery plans.
• Volunteer and/or people management: Experience recruiting, training, coordinating, or managing volunteers or managing people over whom you do not have direct authority (eg. contractors/freelancers). Comfortable leading multi-skilled teams in a remote-first environment, fostering collaboration within newly established groups.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong active listening skills. You have experience being the main liaison for a project or programme, providing regular updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You’re not afraid to ask clarifying questions in areas that are new to you. You are skilled at distilling the key insights or next steps in project meetings to ensure clarity on the big picture and details.

• Experience managing or delivering data-related or social tech projects.

Working hours and location 

This is a full-time role (35 hours per week); however we will consider part-time options (28 or 32 hours per week) for a strong candidate. Working hours are flexible, but we ask that 75% of working time is within the hours of 10am and 6pm, to facilitate team working and real-time collaboration.

The role requires regular out-of-hours commitments - roughly one weekend per quarter and 2-4 evenings per month for volunteer events. This work is part of, rather than additional to, your hours, and you must take time off in lieu for any extra working hours.

Our organisation is remote-first, and this role is hybrid, with access to London office space on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and quarterly in-person commitments in London. We have a preference for candidates able to work from our office space in London at least one day per week. There may be occasional national travel within the UK for other events and conferences, with reasonable expenses covered.

About the Role​​

Based in the UK, this role will play a central role in managing and supporting the recruitment and onboarding of multiple project delivery roles across various countries, whilst also offering HR support to an ambitious FCDO-funded global safeguarding programme. Main responsibilities​

Human Resources:

About This Project: Bessels Green Baptist Church is thriving community of Christians who have recently received a substantial legacy gift of £1 million. About This Role

Reporting to: Trustees of Ash Platt Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) 

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and passionate Project Manager to help us design and deliver an exciting outdoor mental health project that will benefit our local community in significant ways. You will create a natural, nurturing, calm outdoor space to bring people together to support their wellbeing. 
Initially you will work from home or with office space available at Bessels Green Baptist Church and will need to travel regularly to meetings and the garden site. Once launched, the role will require attendance at the garden several days per week. 

Key Responsibilities

· You will build upon the findings of the Community Mental Health Scoping Exercise to develop a comprehensive project plan to launch the garden in the first half of 2026 – having designed the space in conjunction with the local community and experts who have related experience.

· You will promote the garden and its activities to potential beneficiaries and partners, establishing a marketing and communications strategy and building relationships with community leaders and stakeholder groups.

· You will create a programme of activities to support wellbeing and mental health, design effective ways to monitor and evaluate impact and ensure constant learning and improvement as the project develops.

The Role
Title: People & Culture Project Manager (Part-Time)
Location: Central London / Hybrid - 1 day per week office based
Salary: £30,000 per annum (0.6 FTE) - £50,000 FTE
Hours: Part-time, 0.6 FTE (21 hours per week)
Contract: 9 Months fixed term contract 
Reporting to the Senior People & Culture Manager, you will work closely with senior leaders and colleagues across the organisation to deliver a wide range of strategic HR initiatives. You will also manage a small employee relations caseload, providing trusted, high-quality advice to managers.
Key areas of focus include:

• Supporting the delivery of the People & Culture strategy through effective project management
• Leading and supporting projects such as:
  • A revised performance review framework
  • Embedding a new competency framework
  • Implementing an HR information system
  • Developing reward and pay approaches
  • Strengthening HR data and reporting across the employee lifecycle
• Contributing to organisation-wide learning, performance and professional development programmes
• Providing expert HR advice to managers on employee relations matters including performance, grievances and disciplinary cases
• Reviewing, updating and embedding people policies in line with best practice and employment law
• Supporting staff engagement, wellbeing, and inclusive culture initiatives
• Ensuring diversity, equity and inclusion principles are embedded across all people practices

You will bring:

• CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Significant experience in a senior HR generalist, HR Manager, Senior Advisor or HR Business Partner role
• Proven experience delivering high-level HR and people projects
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Experience supporting and coaching line managers on HR and employee relations matters
• A solid understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion and how to embed this into HR practice
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A proactive, solutions-focused and collaborative approach

Working Arrangements
The organisation is based in central London and operates a flexible hybrid model. While staff work from home part of the week, regular office attendance is required, particularly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with an average of at least one day per week in the office.

The Quaker World Office seeks a brilliantly organised, highly motivated and tech savvy person, to support some exciting upcoming projects including a massive open online meeting for worship on World Quaker Day 2026 and a global online conference in 2027. 

In October 2026, FWCC wants to host one of the biggest online Quaker Meetings ever, as we gather together in worship across timezones, traditions, languages and cultures.

Coordinating this meeting will take patience, a calm head, tech knowledge, appreciation of difference among Quakers, brilliant logistical capacity, great teamwork skills, internationally honed project management experience and a good sense of humour. Could you be that person?

In October 2027 we plan to build on this by organising a global online conference, bringing together representatives of most of the world’s yearly meetings to explore our progress in addressing issue of historical and continuing injustice since the 2024 World Plenary Meeting, and to sow seeds of justice and peace in our hearts and the world.

This will involve getting the message out, helping people register and pay, assisting the smooth running of the project team, setting up the technology, assisting people to use the technology, ensuring systems for translation and interpretation are in place, and various other logistical tasks.

There will also be some more routine responsibilities shared with the wider team, such as website updating, occasional mailouts, database management and maintaining our online storage systems.

We are recruiting for a Technology Abuse Project Manager to support our service in responding to, and raising awareness of, the growing threat of technology-facilitated abuse. The Role

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work at the heart of a portfolio of refurbishment, demolition, and new build projects at the construction stage across the Royal Parks estate.

Getting involved in commissioning and essential survey work, you will manage workstreams and deliver high-value projects led by talented Project Managers and supported by an exceptional team, top-tier consultants, engineers and building contractors.

You will support in the preparation of project briefs, specifications, planning applications and pre-construction information, and work on projects from feasibility stage to completion assisting in the management of budgets, quality and programme. You will also provide organisational and administrative support to the project teams, act as the point of contact for project queries and help to develop scope and procurement strategies.

Additionally, you will:

• Assist with managing project finances, including tracking expenditure and reporting
• Ensure projects comply with all H&S, finance and information policies
• Facilitate site visits
• Minute project meetings
• Track and manage project risks and issues
• Capture final documentation and lessons learned at project close
• Archive project materials

About You

To be considered as an Assistant Project Manager, you will need:

• Experience using structured project management techniques to deliver projects according to RIBA Stages 0-7
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams of professionals and contractors in the delivery of projects
• Experience completing project work to programme, quality, and budget targets or evidence of assisting with thisa
• An understanding of financial reporting
• Report writing and analytical skills
• A degree-level qualification or equivalent gained through relevant training or experience of project management in construction or a related field
