Reporting into the Chair of Trustees, the CEO will ensure that the values of the charity are upheld and lead the charity. The CEO will have overall responsibility for the management and administration of the Charity within the strategic, policy and accountability frameworks approved by the Board of Trustees. Together with the Chair, you will enable the Board of Trustees to fulfil its duties and responsibilities for the proper governance of the Charity. The successful candidate will be passionate about helping young people with disabilities to prosper and succeed. 

We are an innovative, enterprising, local Essex based charity that delivers support where needed most – in the heart of the community. This includes weekly youth clubs and inclusive social and leisure activities all year round for children and young adults with learning disabilities and additional needs. We also provide school holiday day trips and occassionbal residentials We enable our beneficairies to have a social life with their peers and give them opportunities to enjoy a wide range of activities, supported by our experienced staff and volunteers.

The successful candidate will have drive, ambition, and have a proven record of networking and fundraising in the charity sector. You will be capable of working collaboratively with local business leaders, other charitable organisations, local authorities, sponsors and benefactors. The CEO will be responsible for the implementation of the strategic plan as well as oversight of general organisational operations such as finance, HR, bid-writing etc. Professional development is encouraged with support for learning opportunities as they arise.

Plumstead Community Law Centre is a free specialist legal advice charity located in central Woolwich in South East London. We provide specialist legal advice and advocacy in the areas of immigration, welfare benefits and employment People can access our services via telephone or email, and through the Advice Hub outreach services we attend in local community centres. In 2024 over 1,400 local people accessed our advice and representation services, resulting in a range of financial and non-financial benefits.

​The Law Centre Managing Director and Senior Solicitor (“MD/SS”) is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the Law Centre. Working within appropriate delegations from the Board, the post holder ensures that the Law Centre provides quality assured services that meet its charitable purposes. Office base Liverpool Street/Moorgate – Commonweal operates a flexible hybrid working policy requiring staff to attend the office base at least 2 days per week, one of which is our Tuesday anchor day when all staff are in the office.

Commonweal is an independent charity, with a small core staff team of 9, overseen by a voluntary Board of Trustees, working to investigate, pilot and champion housing based solutions to social injustice.  Using our charitable resources, we provide experts and partner organisations with the opportunity to trial and test new approaches designed to enhance housing equality and justice. Independently evaluating each of our projects we share our experiences, using this learning to inspire new thinking. We are seeking an Office Manager to lead and deliver the core administration that underpins our charity’s work. This new role brings together governance admin, property record management, and oversight of our office systems and environment.

As Office Manager, you will:

• Provide high-quality governance support to our Board of Trustees, including scheduling meetings, collating agendas, circulating board packs, and taking minutes.

• Manage the administration of our property portfolio, ensuring leases, rent review dates, compliance certificates and other legal documentation are accurate and up to date.

• Oversee the smooth running of our office, including IT and supplier contracts, health & safety compliance, and ensuring staff have the systems and equipment they need.

• Act as the first point of contact for general enquiries and provide reliable admin support to the CEO, DCEO and wider team.

We are looking for someone with:

• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Experience of managing an office in the charity or not for profit sectors
• Experience of supporting Boards or committees, including minute-taking.
• Knowledge of property/lease administration, or a willingness to developed this.

Overall job purpose

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on us supporting communities around our churches caring for, opening, using and raising money for them. The Lead Local Community Officer will play the prime role in ensuring that local people are engaged, recruited, trained and supported.

The Lead Local Community Officer will lead the regional team of Local Community Officers to support, recruit, liaise with and develop volunteer and community supporters to care, open, use and raise money for the CCT’s collection of historic churches.

They will head the Church Planning process for the region, ensuring every church maintains and develops their co-created Church Plan.

EECF supports communities through our charitable activities of grants and programmes.  In 2024/25 these totalled over £1.6m and we intend to increase our grant making year on year to provide greater and longer-term support so we can continue to make a difference to the lives of local people by supporting vital community-based projects with grant funding. The Role

• Events and operations: Assist with the organisation of internal training, team meet-ups, and supporter events. Support health and safety measures for team members and volunteers at peaceful protests, undertaking risk assessments and first aid training. Education Officer

Are you passionate about environmental issues, in particular nature restoration, climate resilience and biodiversity?

Do you have experience working with young audiences, preferably within a wildlife or conservation setting?

We are looking for an Education Officer based in Scotland or North of England, with the ability to inspire people to connect with nature!

Position: Education Officer

Location: Remote/Scotland or North of England (this role requires frequent travel and overnight stays)

Hours: Full time (37.5 hours per week)

Contract: 1.5 year fixed term post, with the possibility of extension

Salary: £32,827 per annum

About the Role

We are looking to hire a skilled and engaging Education Officer to join a busy team, supporting the implementation and expansion of an established educational outreach programme, which reaches children in Scotland and Northern England.

At present, this post has funding for three years from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, 1.5 years of which is now complete and we are looking for someone to deliver the second 1.5 years of the project.

The purpose of the role is to extend passion and knowledge of beavers into communities around Britain, to engage and enthuse young people and to reconnect (or reinforce) their love of nature. Using and tailoring current materials and resources, you will do so by delivering high-quality learning sessions within schools, community groups or virtual training sessions, sometimes delivered in conjunction with beaver site partners and their education teams.

You will also be responsible for supporting wider aspects of the programme together with the Education Team, according to the requirements for each country and in partnership with relevant organisations

Key responsibilities include:

· Deliver a range of exciting, curriculum-linked workshops, non-curriculum home education talks, school and group sessions associated with beaver release sites.

· Run regional events and outreach activities to expand engagement in beaver education.

· Network and build contacts and relationships with key personnel in schools, youth groups and community groups in order to create engagement with the education programme and expand its reach.

· Support the development of further resources, activities and events specific to the country and region, and deliver existing activities for group learning.

· Monitor, collate and report on work carried out, toward learning goals and impact reporting, coordinated by the Senior Education Officer to support the programme evaluation.

· Support volunteers and build capacity working with partner site staff in the delivery of beaver education programmes.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience of working with young audiences, preferably within a wildlife or conservation setting. You will have a good grasp of ecology and be willing to travel around the country to support learning education opportunities as well as being confident running sessions or delivering train-the-trainer sessions online.

Essential skills and experience include:

· A foundation degree level or equivalent in a zoology, biology or conservation-related field, OR; A teaching/education qualification or equivalent experience in teaching, using different delivery methods including virtual delivery. Both formal qualifications OR equivalent lived, voluntary or professional experience are welcome.

· The ability to communicate complex concepts in an innovative and engaging way to a young audience.

· The skill set to inspire people to connect with nature, to support teachers, deliver talks, presentations and education sessions.

· A strong interest in nature, conservation and restoration.

· Working knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policies and procedures.

· Competent use of IT skills, preferably Google Suite, and high standards for visual content.

· Experience in confidently using IT packages for teaching delivery, including the use of tablets, presentation software and audiovisual.

· A full valid UK driving licence (you will be required to access remote rural locations carrying more equipment than can be handled on public transport)

· Resident in mainland Britain and proof of right to work in Britain.

· A place to store learning materials. We can offer storage support if there isn’t space at home.
