ROLE SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Vice President, Partnerships based in the UK, you will work closely with the teams in our dual headquarters (Toronto, Canada and London, UK), as well as programme and fundraising teams across Africa, Asia, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. You will be responsible for coordinating a variety of functions that support Right To Play’s (RTP’s) global business development and grant management strategy, supporting proposal development for new funding opportunities and grant management for existing donor partnerships. The role will also include internal support for different fundraising offices globally, to ensure joined up approaches are undertaken to secure and manage grant funding across RTP.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

#1. Funding Identification (15% of Time)

• Lead global prospecting for new business development by tracking funding opportunities, and researching suitable new funding opportunities from governments, private organizations, and foundations in line with RTP’s theory of change and organizational priorities.
• Research and understand the current funding strategies of institutional donors and philanthropic giving organisations to support strategic decision-making on new business development. This will include a focus on regional, country, and sectoral funding trends relevant to RTP’s geographic and thematic areas.
• Monitor funding opportunities and ‘calls’, ensuring that the relevant departments globally within RTP are informed in a timely manner with tailored information.
• Act as the global focal point for the internal application approval process by ensuring documentation for go/no go and proposal processes are compliant with procedures and stored in appropriate online portals.

#2. Proposal Development and Grant Management Support (30% of Time)

• Work in conjunction with relevant departments across RTP (including Global Programs, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, and Communications departments), to lead the development of different thematic and programme funding materials that will support new donor acquisition and strong donor stewardship.
• Support programme funding personnel across the organisation in the development of specific materials to assist in new business development and equip fundraisers to seek relevant funding opportunities.
• Support the development of proposals in response to specific funding opportunities as required by the Global Partnerships team and occasionally the Country Office teams, in some cases this will be leading on certain proposals.
• Support programme funding personnel across the organisation in the development of project narrative and financial reports, to ensure high standards of reporting and donor stewardship are maintained. In some cases, this will be leading on certain reports.
• Provide additional ad-hoc support to fundraising activities, personnel and offices across the organisation globally as required across the programme funding cycle to ensure strong proposal development and grant management practices are maintained. 
• Participate in, and represent, RTP in external meetings and networks as required.

#3. Data Management, System Compliance and Coordination (40% of Time)

• Track funding applications, pipelines and reports across all fundraising departments globally, using RTP’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) platform and other tracking tools as required.
• Work closely with fundraising offices across the organisation to ensure timely and accurate use of RTP’s CRM platform so accurate fundraising data is maintained in the system.
• Support quarterly reporting and analysis of global funding progress, funding pipelines, funding priorities, tracking against targets/objectives, and disseminate the information globally to all relevant staff.
• Support the preparation of materials (including presentations) on organisational funding performance for the senior Executive Management Teams.
• Manage internal information databases and Microsoft SharePoint sites ensuring documents related to proposals, donor reports, fundraising materials etc. are stored according to agreed protocols and disseminated across the fundraising and program delivery offices.
• Work closely with the Global Fundraising Operations Manager and Global Business Analyst to ensure the platform remains an accurate and effective database of donor information and responding to ad-hoc tasks as necessary.
• Lead on the preparation and coordination of various monthly procedures as required.

#4. Global Partnerships Team Support (10% of Time)

• Contribute to strategic discussions within the team to support planning and priorities.
• Support the planning and implementation of internal meetings and/or conferences.
• Keep up to date with the major issues pertaining to children, child rights and development, as well as the donor environment and developments within RTP.
• Additional tasks as requested by the members of the Global Partnerships Team.
• Undertake general office administrative tasks as needed.

#5. Performs other duties as assigned (5% of Time)

WHAT YOU’LL BRING (ESSENTIAL):

EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in international development, political science, international relations, or related discipline; or equivalent work experience

EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years’ practical experience in managing multiple and varied projects
• 2 years’ experience in supporting proposal development and donor reporting
• Fundraising experience for not-for-profits including developing applications, securing funding from a variety of sources, and a track record of identifying and researching donors
• Demonstrated experience in building strong trust-based relationships with widely diverse

JOB PURPOSE

As part of the Brand and Marketing team, the Social Media Officer will lead on social media strategy for the organization, working closely with teams across Magic Breakfast to develop and diversify our presence on social media. This role will start at a key time in strategy development and long term planning, as they enter the final phase of their incredibly successful Up Against Time Appeal to replace their two helicopters.

As they enter the final phase of the appeal, having raised £11.5m of their £15m target (with a number of further pledges confirmed) this role will focus on developing the long term Trusts fundraising strategy. As Deputy Head of Philanthropy you will be tasked with considering the opportunities presented by the new 15 year organisational strategy, and contributing to the wider Philanthropy, Partnerships and Events team plans to ensure they have a strong footing as they look to the long term and next 15 years of London's Air Ambulance Charity. 

As Deputy Head of Philanthropy you will not only lead on strategy development but also build and develop the Trusts pipeline, leading and developing the Trusts and Prospect Research teams to improve internal processes and influence/respond to upcoming fundraising opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Trusts and Prospect Research teams and programmes through a year of maternity cover, ensuring both areas are in a strong position on the return of the substantive postholder. 
• Act as LAAC's Trust and Lead Gift (£500k+) fundraising expert, leading the Trusts and Prospect Research teams to be ambitious and consider the long term funding opportunities for the charity. 
• Lead the team through the transition from the Up Against Time Appeal to focus on the new 15 year organisational strategy and opportunities it presents to develop the pipeline for new projects.
• Take ownership of the Trusts, Foundations and Statutory pipeline, leading income generation from these sources with a personal focus on £100k+ opportunities, while informing the organisation's approach to restricted fundraising opportunities.
• Support the development of direct reports and wider Philanthropy, Partnerships and Events team. 

Person Specification:

• Strong sector knowledge and technical expertise of Trust fundraising, with experience of securing £100k+ support from trusts, foundations and/or statutory sources. 
• Demonstrable experience of developing and fundraising for restricted projects, monitoring income and expenditure budgets.
• Effective pipeline development skills and the ability to support a Prospect Research function to identify new opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Volunteer Development Officer (Early Help Outreach) to be involved in supporting and developing the volunteer aspects of the Befriending project in the Westminster area and to ensure that the organisation reaches and supports as many families as possible, primarily those aged 0-16 years and referred by the Westminster Early Help service as step down families. In addition, you will support the Outreach team supporting families of those aged 0-5 years.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Team Leader on all aspects of volunteer recruitment, such as ensuring there is a continual bank of active volunteers, publicising vacancies and organising and conducting interviews. You will also be responsible for supporting the delivery of volunteer training and providing one to one support and group supervision as appropriate. In addition, the role will include matching of volunteers to families, assessing the needs of families, supporting with home visits, keeping accurate records and completing reports. The post holder will also support holiday activities with wider teams and outreach support.

You will need to have experience of volunteer recruitment and training as well as experience of managing volunteers. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the role of volunteers in community projects. We are looking for someone with experience of family support work and of effectively managing safeguarding issues. Comprehensive knowledge of local agencies, networks, and partnerships within the area of family support is required.

4. To manage and deliver job search sessions.

5. To lease with Employability Lead when participants are ready to move over in In Work Support team.

6. To advertise project opportunities to autistic people throughout London and manage project recruitment and onboarding.

7. To ensure processes are in-place for each project to:- assess each participant’s individual skills and gather baseline data; ensure job matches are appropriate to the individual’s needs and aspirations; and that targets set are relevant and promote new skills and learning; acquire and complete necessary risk assessments to ensure safety of clients, staff and partners.

8. To oversee the set up and settling in of jobseekers into work placements, when needed. Providing support and training to employers where required; providing personalised on the job training to participants and employers as required and develop strategies and advise on reasonable adjustments.

About the role

Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Engagement team as our Legacy Fundraising Officer. This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week. This role will working flexibly between home and our office in King's Cross, London.

Over a third of Sense’s voluntary income comes from gifts in Wills. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and delivery of the legacy marketing programme for existing and new supporters, in order to increase income from legacies and maintain and grow .our pipeline of legacy prospects.

• To work closely with the Legacy Manager and Head of Individual Giving & Legacies in shaping and delivering the legacy marketing and administration programme to achieve annual income targets and other KPIs.
• To manage the delivery of legacy marketing projects from conception to delivery and evaluation in conjunction with the appropriate team members.
• Negotiate project costs with key suppliers to ensure projects are as cost-effective as possible.
• To actively participate in planning and review meetings with the Legacy team and other colleagues and key suppliers, and maintain a thorough understanding of latest developments, current trends, and legislation as it applies to the fundraising and legacy landscape.
• To project manage the development and delivery of legacy marketing activities across a variety of media to acquire new or steward existing legacy supporters to Sense. 
• To manage the annual legacy ‘Remember A Charity’ campaign raising awareness of legacy giving among internal stakeholders, their networks, supporters and the public

Key skills and experience

• Proven experience of managing all aspects of the delivery of successful fundraising direct marketing campaigns in a charity or not-for-profit setting from inception stage to post campaign analysis.  
• Self-starter and highly organised with an ability to work systemically to targets and deadlines.  
• Demonstrable experience of supporter acquisition, retention and development of supporters.
• Confident with data selections / segmentation and campaign analysis principles.
• Ability to confidently manage all stages of direct marketing based fundraising campaigns across a range of media including Telephone, Direct Mail, Email and SMS to deliver successful fundraising campaigns. 
• A good eye for design and a proven creative flair, with some copywriting / editing experience and an impeccable attention to detail.
