The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, enthusiastic and confident individual to join us as Programme Manager to develop and manage delivery of Phase 2 of the Early Connect Programme. Following successful delivery of Phase 1, Inspire has been selected to deliver Phase 2 of this pilot programme alongside the GLA/DFE and lead partners Rinova.

This role has responsibility for developing and delivering work related learning activities for young people with the aim of enhancing their skills and understanding of future career opportunities and transitioning into apprenticeships.

All delivery is aimed towards enabling young people to learn about apprenticeship opportunities and how to position themselves to apply and move into employment as an apprentice. You will work closely with young people, employers and business volunteers to deliver fun, engaging and labour market-relevant careers related support and workshops to young people in both online and in-person formats. You will have the chance to be creative through planning, delivering and evaluating the programme to ensure services are current and meet the stakeholder needs.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Managing development, delivery and coordination of work related learning activities for phase 2 of the Early Connect programme.
• Accountable for achieving agreed outcomes, outputs and personal targets including recruitment, employability training and learner progression targets.
• Managing a caseload of participants requiring Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG), confidence building and employability training.
• Accurately managing data and reporting requirements of funders of the Early Connect programme.
• Maintaining and building effective relationships with programme participants and stakeholders.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

•Serve as the organisations designated DPO as per UK GDPR requirements.

•At least 3 years of experience in a data protection or compliance role, preferably within the charity, NGO, or healthcare sectors.
•Experience handling sensitive personal data, including health and biometric data.
•Ability to interpret complex legal requirements and translate them into practical guidance.
•Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity, especially in cross-cultural and humanitarian contexts.

Job Purpose

Preparing monthly management accounts and quarterly VAT returns for RCVS (the professional membership organisation or ‘College’) in accordance with relevant RCVS policies and UK legislation including UK GAAP and the Charities SORP.

Key Responsibilities

• To prepare accurate monthly cost centre and college wide management accounts for RCVS to an agreed timetable for varying audiences, including variance analysis, with appropriate relevant commentary.
• To review and discuss the cost centre management accounts with the Heads of Department throughout the year and to enhance reporting and understanding
• To prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and review them working with the Transactional Finance Lead.
• To work with the Head of Finance (HoF) preparing budgets, forecasts, financial monitoring and commentary

• Provide support to the wider finance team

• Complete and submit quarterly VAT returns (following HoF review) for RCVS in accordance with relevant RCVS policies and UK legislation.

• To act as the Finance Risk Champion and to maintain the finance risk register

• To support an approach of continuous improvement to finance systems and processes.

• To provide ad hoc support to the payroll function in the event of team member absence, to ensure continuity of critical payroll operations

Qualifications

• Finalist or fully qualified with a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)

A Rocha UK is a unique Christian nature conservation charity, mobilising Christians and churches to care for the natural world. We are the UK member of the international A Rocha federation of Christian conservation charities, with sister organisations in 24 countries.  A Rocha UK has a staff of 25 and many volunteers. We run nature conservation activities on our two reserves, advise a national network of conservation partners, inspire Christians to protect nature and act on climate change through our Wild Christian scheme, and run the popular Eco Church scheme for local churches. Purpose of role: 

Increasing and diversifying the sources of funding for A Rocha UK’s work is key to our fundraising strategy. The Grants and Legacies Manager will play a key role identifying potential granting bodies, writing and submitting bids, and managing reporting on grants from a range of sources, including  large foundations, and Church denominations.  In doing so, they will work closely with other staff, especially the CEO, programme staff, and other members of the fundraising team. They will also manage occasional legacies and, as capacity allows, develop a proactive legacy promotion programme. The successful candidate will have previous experience securing funds from trusts, as well as excellent writing skills, an interest in the environment and an active Christian faith. The team is strategically and collaboratively managed by Learning and Development Managers (LDMs), each having responsibility for a number of Learning and Development Officers (LDO) working within a geographical area. We are seeking to recruit an LDM for the Cymru Wales, West Midlands and South West area. There is a requirement to live within this geography that includes the Methodist districts: Wales Synod Cymru, West Midlands (following the merger of the current Birmingham District and the Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury District on 1st September 2025), Southampton, Channel Islands, Bristol, and South West Peninsular.

Responsibilities of the Learning Development Manager include:

• strategic shared leadership of the LN
• leading and managing the LDOs, balancing the needs and expectations of lay and ordained
• developing, implementing and reviewing, alongside other LDMs and the Director of Ministry Learning, the strategic work plan of the LN
• building and maintaining good relationships across the Connexional Team and with individuals and communities across the church and beyond
• encouraging the sharing of individual gifts and experiences across a number of teams and stakeholders
• travel (including overnight stays), weekend and evening work

We are looking for someone who has:

• proven experience of coordinating and managing a dispersed team of staff and volunteers
• significant experience and is passionate about learning and development
• a strong commitment to collaborative and partnership working
• a proven track record of meeting deadlines within a complex and varied workload

Knowledge of the Welsh language would be a valuable asset to this role

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Capital Project Manager to play a pivotal role in the transformation and development of our school estate. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated estates team and drive the delivery of our ambitious three-year strategic priorities, ensuring exceptional service and outcomes for our schools.

Reporting  to the Head of Estates and Projects, you will lead the planning, procurement, and execution of capital developments across our estate. Your portfolio will include the delivery of new school buildings, sustainability initiatives, and projects that enhance operational efficiency and environmental performance.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Your responsibilities will include

• Project management of the priority, delivery, and budgets of the School Condition Allocation (SCA) projects from inception to end of defects.
• Project management and supporting the management of the condition and maintenance of the school estate, including the asset management processes
• Project management of the capital elements of academy conversion projects
• Planning, implementation, procurement, and delivery of a high-quality service in relation to all estate and projects work
• Managing and monitoring external technical advisors, and third party suppliers and consultants employed directly by Harris Federation
• Managing H&health and safety through the lifecycle of all projects
• Managing the consultations, admissions, branding, marketing, FF&E and uniform of all new schools
• Providing professional services to the individual schools and ensuring the Federation complies with relevant property legislation, regulations and guidance
• Assisting with the development of policies and procedures concerning the Harris Federation estate
• Assisting with the framework for all estates related statutory elements, including oversight of the implementation and reporting of audits

Job Description

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Senior Research Manager to manage the monitoring, evaluation and learning activities of a high profile National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) portfolio of translational, clinical and applied health research infrastructure funding schemes. 

Job Purpose 
Reporting to the Assistant Director, the post holder will work closely with the rest of the infrastructure team (especially the Programme Leads and Senior Research Managers who are responsible for the development and management of the infrastructure schemes), and with Data Analytics colleagues (who are responsible for designing systems for capturing, cleaning and presenting data), to manage the infrastructure reporting and evaluation activities. At an award level, you will develop, improve and maintain monitoring and reporting processes, and at a scheme level, you will implement monitoring, evaluation and learning approaches, including overseeing the delivery and/or commissioning of impact evaluations. You will support a wider programme around visibility and the strategic use of data within infrastructure, considering links to policy directives around Busting Bureaucracy, the developing NIHR digital strategy and system operability issues with NHS and University systems. 

You will be adept at dealing with an array of data sources (metrics, narrative and financial reporting information), have a good understanding of research impact, an understanding of the routes to achieving it, and how to apply monitoring, evaluation and learning approaches to generate insight that can evidence impact and support continuous improvement of scheme funding and support processes. You will have experience of managing complex projects, knowledge of the UK’s research environment and political agenda, and honed skills in stakeholder management. You will be a strategic thinker, capable of seeing the issues and solutions from a number of different stakeholder perspectives to see the bigger picture. You will be comfortable dealing with complexity and developing an approach to balance the needs of different stakeholders. You will be a team player, able to work in close partnership with a number of teams at NIHR and the DHSC.

Key Accountabilities:

• Manage elements of the infrastructure monitoring processes: you will manage parts of the infrastructure reporting process both internally at the technical systems level and externally with users to support training and propose improvements. You will work with others to develop new reporting processes (for new awards), maintain existing annual and quarterly reporting, support the review of submitted reports by the team and the production of feedback, and drive process improvements through a continuous improvement cycle.

• Development of reporting outputs: support quantitative and qualitative data interrogation in projects across the infrastructure. Interrogating data to support strategic reviews, and, where feasible and appropriate, designing visual dashboards of progress using data collected and collated for reporting purposes. Also draw on award level reported data to feed into strategic scheme level evaluations and reviews, to produce impact case studies, and to feed into organisational level learning and reporting. This work will help articulate the contribution of the NIHR infrastructure to the wider health and social care system as well as feeding into broader NIHR initiatives such as the NIHR Impact Programme.

• Scheme reviews: support the delivery of scheme mid-term reviews and evaluations, working closely with the infrastructure team’s Senior Research Managers responsible for specific schemes and the central Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning team to design and plan an appropriate review process for individual schemes.

• Stakeholder engagement: through appropriate stakeholder engagement, developing a sound understanding of data needs, minimising additional requirements of key stakeholders and understanding the types of reporting outputs/feedback that would provide the greatest utility for accountability and learning purposes. Proactively share key learnings across the infrastructure team and with wider stakeholder groups as appropriate.

• Flexible support to the team:  flexible approach to work tasks with ability to ‘muck in’ and provide support on additional tasks across the team during busy times.

Line Management:

• The post holder will be responsible for the line management of one Research Manager and will matrix manage other team members, where appropriate.

Qualifications

Experience and Technical Skills

Required Criteria: 

• A PhD degree in biomedical or health sciences research (or significant equivalent sector experience)
• Experience of implementation or management of monitoring, evaluation and learning approaches including impact assessment and reporting, ideally within health and care research
• Data collection, collation and analysis skills using both qualitative and quantitative methodologies
• Current knowledge of the UK’s health and care research and policy landscape
• Strategic thinker able to interpret complex information while having a clear view of the “big picture”
• Solutions orientated with evidence of delivering projects, requiring evidence synthesis, report writing and developing implementable recommendations

Desirable Criteria:

• Specialist training/knowledge in monitoring, evaluation and learning approaches and methods
• Experience of authoring high quality impact reports and case study reports for a variety of technical and general audiences
• Experience of developing electronic dashboards using visualisation tools such as Qlik Sense, Looker Studio or equivalents
• Line management and staff development experience

The Service Manager role assumes responsibility for all aspects of SWAN’s West Berkshire statutory advocacy services. This includes IMCA, Paid Rep, Care Act and IMHA. Our Service Manager is also responsible for the delivery of SWAN’s social value projects in West Berkshire.
The role requires a positive approach and a high degree of personal responsibility. The Service Manager is responsible for the West Berkshire team’s performance. Service Managers are experienced and inspirational leaders. You will be working remotely, but within easy commuting distance of West Berkshire.  They have, or are willing to work towards, a level 5 management qualification.

FTE salary is £31,602.88 - £34,533.32 (actual £25,623.97 - ££27,999.99) and the lower salary will be paid to new starters unless they hold the relevant qualifications.
