Turning Tides is a charity that supports people experiencing homelessness in West Sussex. While our central office is in Worthing, our work spans the county – from East Grinstead to Littlehampton and across areas in between. With over 20 accommodation projects, community hubs and outreach teams, we offer local single adults tailored support to move towards a more stable future. We strongly believe in addressing the root causes for homelessness, so our specialist teams support in areas such as mental health, substance misuse, tenancy sustainment, IT skills, employment guidance and much more. 

The Fundraising team is small but mighty. We shape and support the raising of funds for Turning Tides, by inspiring compassion for people facing homelessness and aim to engage supporters through powerful storytelling. From supporting and creating fundraising events, engaging with community groups, corporate clients and providing 1:1 stewardship with donors we aim to spread the word of our mission to the wider community, inspiring people to take action in support of those who are impacted by homelessness. This is an exciting time in the Fundraising team as we embark on a review of how we make our supporters and journey one that they value and a part of the work we undertake.

About the role

The Fundraising Officer will work closely with the Fundraising Manager on a wide range of tasks, ensuring our messages reach the right people in the right way. This could include giving talks at local community groups such as schools and churches, delivering fundraising, stewardship of fundraisers and donors. This role will include weekend and evening work to support our fundraising events.

About Cardiomyopathy UK

Cardiomyopathy UK is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting people affected by cardiomyopathy – a disease of the heart muscle. We provide vital information, support services, and campaign for improved diagnosis and care. As we grow our reach and impact, we are expanding our fundraising and marketing capacity to secure sustainable income, diversify our supporter base, and build greater public awareness of cardiomyopathy.

The Role

We are seeking an ambitious and strategic Head of Fundraising and Marketing to lead the development and delivery of our fundraising and marketing strategy. Reporting to the CEO, the postholder will have overall responsibility for driving income growth, diversifying funding streams, and strengthening our brand and reach.

This role will manage a small team, responsible for individual giving, community and events fundraising, grant, legacy and trust income, and marketing. They will provide inspiring leadership, ensuring the team delivers sustainable income growth, meaningful supporter experiences, and increased awareness of Cardiomyopathy UK’s work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership and Alignment

• Develop and deliver a fundraising and marketing strategy aligned with Cardiomyopathy UK’s mission and growth targets.
• Ensure fundraising activities reflect our values and strengthen our reputation for independence and integrity.
• Provide clear leadership to a team of five, setting objectives, monitoring performance, and supporting professional development.
• Act as a senior leader, contributing to organisational strategy and Board reporting.

2. Income Mix and Diversification

• Lead a balanced and diverse portfolio of income streams across individual giving, community fundraising, trusts and foundations, legacies, major donors, campaigns and events.
• Set clear targets and KPIs across each stream, with robust financial planning, forecasting, and monitoring.

3. Trusts, Foundations and Grants

• Identify priority funders and manage a strong pipeline of applications.
• Lead on developing compelling cases for support, securing new funding, and stewarding long-term relationships.

4. Individual Giving and Supporter Journeys

• Grow regular giving, one-off donations, and legacy pledges through tailored and innovative supporter experiences.
• Develop and optimise donor journeys to improve engagement, retention, and lifetime value.

5. Community and Events Fundraising

• Expand grassroots fundraising and challenge events, including the London Marathon, Berlin Marathon, and flagship CMUK events.
• Innovate supporter-led events and activities to broaden reach and participation.

6. Major Donors and High-Value Giving

• Build and maintain relationships with philanthropists and high-net-worth individuals.
• Develop a programme to secure transformational gifts and long-term strategic support.

7. Marketing, Brand and Awareness

• Lead brand and marketing activity to raise the profile of cardiomyopathy and Cardiomyopathy UK.
• Drive impactful digital marketing campaigns across web, email, paid and organic social, and digital partnerships.

· Lead creative storytelling and content marketing to grow brand awareness and build a strong online community.

· Innovate supporter journeys using data-driven insights, automation, and personalised communications.

· Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and campaigns.

8. Monitoring, Evaluation and Sustainability

• Ensure all fundraising and marketing activity is ethical, sustainable, and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Lead on impact reporting and evaluation, demonstrating how income supports patients and families.
• Report regularly to the CEO and Board on progress, risks, and opportunities.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Significant experience in senior fundraising leadership, with proven success across multiple income streams.
• Strong knowledge of marketing, brand development, and digital engagement.
• Demonstrable ability to deliver income growth and diversify funding.
• Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Track record of building strategic relationships with donors, funders, and partners.
• Strong financial and strategic planning skills, including KPIs and reporting.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical and healthcare sector fundraising.

Warm Welcome Fundraising Assistant

Location: Fully remote with flexible working arrangements 

Salary: £26,000 per year FTE, dependent on experience 

Contract: We are open to this role being part time (0.6 or 0.8 FTE) or full time. We offer fully flexible working.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to join a small, friendly, and dynamic team in a varied role. You will work closely with the two Fundraising Managers (one focused on Trusts and Foundations and the other Corporate Partnerships) and the Development Director to support corporate, trust, foundation, and individual fundraising efforts. Joining during a time of growth and strategic development, you will have the chance to be part of the implementation of a new Fundraising Strategy. In the role you will:

Assist the team across the fundraising function supporting corporate, trust, foundation, community and individual fundraising activities.

Develop and maintain positive relationships internally with colleagues and externally with stakeholders, donors, and funders.

Demonstrate strong organisational skills and reliability, maintaining systems for data management and accurate records of fundraising activities and donor interactions.

Liaise professionally with Warm Welcome Spaces, funders and supporters, acting as a warm and approachable communicator.

Confidently use and manage our CRM system (Copper) to track donor data and fundraising activities.

Support basic marketing efforts, including creating quality written content such as emails and social media updates, as needed.

Securely store and organize documents on our G-Drive, ensuring accessibility for the team and compliance with GDPR and good fundraising practice.

Support the logistical planning for fundraising and wider team events.

Ensure deadlines are met, prioritising a varied workload and maintaining attention to detail in all tasks.

Take initiative to explore new areas of fundraising and contribute to innovation.

Own and manage delegated tasks or parts of projects, ensuring successful and timely delivery of work.

Essential Skills and Experience

1. Strong organisational and administrative skills with a track record of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

2. Experience in using CRM systems (e.g. Copper) and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

3. Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with diverse stakeholders.

Working arrangements 

• Current members of the team are based across the UK, with some in London, Reading, Bristol, Manchester and Northern Ireland. Given the nature of this role, we would also expect the applicant to carry out a reasonable amount of travel to both projects and partners across the UK.

About The Role
We are recruiting for a Regional Legacy Giving Manager on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week. This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract lasting for 12 months.

As our Regional Legacy Giving Manager for the South, you’ll be responsible for managing and motivating a high performing team of Legacy Giving Officers and Legacy Partnership Officers.

You’ll be tasked with managing team development, setting and monitoring KPIs, overseeing the delivery of a variety of supporter led activities and will have the opportunity to lead on strategic relationships and project management. 

This is your chance to play a pivotal role in generating essential funds that drive our mission forward, supporting those living with dementia, funding ground-breaking research, and campaigning for change. If you are seeking a people management opportunity within a supportive and experienced team this could be the move for you. with will suit someone looking to expand their knowledge of this vital type of fundraising and who is interested in leading a geographically dispersed team.

About you
Joining us, you’ll have experience of managing events, ideally in a charity fundraising environment. You’ll have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets, with the ability to manage and motivate your team to do the same. Crucially, you’ll also be able to analyse data and information to make objective decisions.

This is a home-based role based but ideally you would live in the South of England or Wales. You must be able to travel and have the flexibility to meet key stakeholders and attend events as well as internal meetings at our flagship offices.

What you’ll focus on:

- Direct line management of regionally based Legacy Giving Officers (LGOs) and Legacy Partnership Officers (LPOs) and leading them in co-ordinating the delivery of legacy events and stewardship activities, alongside developing our Will offers and engagement with legal firms.
- Meeting agreed annual targets for both legacy gifts and Will offer metrics across five regions.
- Developing and delivering the stewardship plan ensuring ongoing engagement with supporters who are interested in leaving a charitable gift in their will by upgrading and converting through the legacy cycle: enquirer, considerer, intender, pledger.
- Providing statistical and narrative reports on Team South’s legacy activity each month and as otherwise required.
- Delivering appropriate legacy fundraising awareness training to staff where this upskilling will lead to supporter referrals for the legacy pipeline.

The Head of Philanthropy will lead on day-to-day fundraising across individual giving, memberships, appeals and campaigns for Leeds Playhouse. This role is central to building and sustaining a robust philanthropic programme, with a particular focus on developing a strong pipeline of mid- and high-level donors, cultivating and stewarding High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI), and driving engagement through compelling communications and events.

We are seeking an excellent communicator and strategic fundraiser who is creative, resilient, and highly motivated. The Head of Philanthropy will play a key role in shaping and delivering sustainable income growth through individual giving, and major donor engagement—ensuring our work is resourced for the long term.

The post-holder will report to the Strategic Director of Fundraising & Development, deputising as required, and will line manage the Development Administrator. This role is predominantly based at Leeds Playhouse with some scope for hybrid working, complementing the Strategic Director role (a part-time role, mostly working remotely).

This is a permanent, full time contract. We would like to fill a requirement for 35 hours per week, which is full-time for this role, with some flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required. However, we are open to hearing from people interested in part-time work or job sharing. Pay for the role is £35,700 per year based on 35 hours per week.

Working closely with the Fundraising Manager and Head of Philanthropy you will support a range of fundraising activities, most predominantly through organising and coordinating fundraising events, such as half-marathons; lead annual fundraising campaigns; in addition to increasing individual giving to the charity through awareness raising and stewardship of regular and one-off donors. Duties and responsibilities

• Oversee the coordination and administration of annual sponsored fundraising events Action Tutoring engages with, such as the Hackney Half marathon and London 10K, including the promotion of events, onboarding of runners, campaign page creation, encouraging participants to raise funds, organising materials to be sent to runners (e.g. t-shirts) and tracking of fundraising targets.
• Increase our participation in sponsored fundraising events, in London and our regional hubs. 
• Ensure that relevant marketing materials (such as pictures and participants consent to share) are gathered and used to promote events. On occasion be open to travelling to specific events.
• Work with the Fundraising Manager and Marcomms team to ensure that we have strong and appropriate marketing content to support fundraising activity, for example developing supporter communications, evolving our guide to fundraising, maintaining accurate fundraising and donate pages on the website and contributing to the development of our annual impact report. 
• Support the organisation and coordination of fundraising and key profile raising events, such as evening events, Action Tutoring anniversary celebrations or funder breakfasts, through sourcing suitable venues and overseeing logistics.
• Support with other key profile raising events, for example, oversee annual fundraising campaigns, such as the Big Give Christmas Challenge, source new campaign opportunities for Action Tutoring to engage and carry out initial enquiries to determine suitability to apply/engage with.

• Keeping the fundraising pages updated, helping to design and produce fundraising materials (flyers and fundraising packs).

A driving license isn’t essential.  Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for events.

A background in fundraising is required, although this could be from intern or voluntary work.  An understanding of ME/CFS is desirable.

Stewardship

• Monitoring the fundraising inbox, acting as a first point of contact for a wide range of supporters and enquirers.
• Developing individual giving income through enhanced communications, great stewardship and supporting on fundraising appeals.
• Nurturing our regular givers and looking for ways to grow our regular-giving donor base.
• Completing thanking processes efficiently for donations.
• Developing and managing tools and resources to support fundraising events such as sending out t-shirts, posters, flyers, donation boxes and fundraising packs when requested.
• Liaising with the communications team to create promotional materials to advertise events through the website and social media channels to increase engagement.

Administration

• Keeping accurate records of all prospect and supporter interactions on our CRM system, Raisers Edge NXT.
• Optimising fundraising and donation opportunities at key charity events, researching and recording information.
• Supporting the Fundraising and Development Manager as and when needed.
• Working with colleagues across, communications and services teams to ensure a smooth flow of information to support fundraising promotion and engagement.

As a Community Fundraising Manager for Dementia UK, you will lead a team of regionally based fundraisers to grow income across community fundraising streams, with a strategic focus on high value supporter acquisition and engagement across regional corporates, organisations and individuals.

You will collaborate with the Head of Community Fundraising and Senior Relationship Fundraising Manager to deliver the community fundraising strategy and develop annual budgets.
