We are looking for a skilled trusts and foundations fundraiser to join the Business Development team at ClientEarth for a 12 month maternity cover. The Business Development Officer role will involve researching, cultivating, applying for and securing new strategically aligned funding from trusts, foundations and governments around the world.They will manage their own portfolio of prospective funders and liaise with ClientEarth’s global teams across different programme areas and geographies.Joining ClientEarth’s thriving and growing Business Development team, the postholder will use their skills and experience to support the essential work of one of the world’s most ambitious environmental organisations, and help protect our planet in this crucial decade. 

Meet your Manager

In this role, you will be managed by Carolina Bejarano, Development Manager within ClientEarth's Business Development team. Carolina brings over nine years of experience in the public and international development sector, with a strong track record in securing funding from trusts, foundations, corporate and institutional donors. She has worked with a diverse range of NGOs, supporting programmes focused on humanitarian aid, human rights, and sustainable development. She is based in our London office.

Main Duties

• Undertake prospect research and due diligence to scope potential new funders 
• Draft clear and compelling fundraising materials including cases for support, funding proposals, and concept notes 
• Meet with funder contact points to understand their interests/priorities, present proposals and provide insight to ClientEarth’s work 
• Support the development and improvement of team systems and processes to enable effective and efficient working

The role

We’re seeking a Research Officer to join our fantastic Research team following an internal promotion within the team.

• You will be ensuring that the management of funding rounds is robust, coordinated, and delivered to the highest possible quality, and that the funding rounds we offer address key needs of the research and patient community.
• You will be responsible for managing key stakeholders in the grant funding process, including applicants, award holders and committee members to organise key events.
• You will be liaising with researchers and people with lived experience of pancreatic cancer to coordinate meaningful internal and external public and patient involvement (PPI) through our Research Involvement Network.

About You 

• You will need sound knowledge of research principles and the UK research funding environment.
• Experience of working in a scientific or clinical research context with an undergraduate degree, preferably with a biomedical focus.
• An understanding of patient and public involvement and how to converse with people affected by pancreatic cancer.

What can we offer you? 

The salary band for this role is £32,000 - £34,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.

About Cosmic

Cosmic is a small but mighty children’s charity dedicated to supporting the incredible work of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, Hammersmith. We provide vital funding for life-saving equipment, specialist staff training, and pioneering research. We also deliver our own emotional and practical family support services - making a real difference for children and families when they need it most.

The Role

This role will be pivotal in connecting Cosmic with the families we support and our NHS units across both hospital sites, by managing service delivery and fostering continuous engagement. The postholder will lead and coordinate our new Post-Discharge Support service, working closely with families, the NHS Family Liaison Team, and counsellors. They will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the outcomes of service delivery projects - focusing on the experiences and impact on both NHS staff and families - while ensuring efficiency and value for money through careful cost assessment.

NHS Engagement & Relationship Management

▪ Build strong partnerships with PICU and NICU teams to embed Cosmic’s presence, raise awareness, and identify areas for support.

▪ Collaborate with clinical teams to develop and deliver projects that improve patient, family and staff experiences - maintaining an up-to-date pipeline of funding needs.

▪ Liaise directly with families on the units to understand their needs and explore how Cosmic can offer practical and emotional support, helping to build trusted relationships and inform future service development.

▪ Organise engagement activities and events to promote Cosmic across the units, ensuring consistent branding and visibility.

▪ Represent Cosmic at senior staff hospital meetings, forums and working groups, sharing feedback and opportunities with the wider team.

▪ Manage project timelines, budgets, KPIs and reporting to senior management and funders.

Engagement Campaigns

▪ Create, promote and mobilise staff on our units to deliver a yearly schedule of engagement campaigns. Work with staff to develop new and existing campaigns; creating and implementing the plans as appropriate.

▪ To keep abreast of any key or newsworthy/trending national developments and topics relating to PICU & NICU care and the NHS and develop campaigns as appropriate.

Post Discharge Support Project

▪ Manage development and delivery of Cosmic’s new pioneering family support service after intensive care.

▪ Develop, in partnership with the units, service delivery models that include services provided, and their impact.

▪ Develop project budgets with the COO, monitoring and evaluating them to ensure projects are delivered on budget.

▪ Oversee ongoing evaluation and development of the service to ensure it meets targets and desired outcomes.

▪ Work with our supporters and past patients and families in the development of projects and services.

▪ Work closely with the Family Liaison Nurse, who will interact directly with families benefiting from the service, to ensure their needs and experiences inform the ongoing development of the project.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

▪ Develop and implement data metrics and gathering points to measure and analyse the impact of Cosmic’s services, supporting outcomes reporting and strategic decision-making.

▪ Utilise strong IT skills for database modelling and data interpretation, ensuring timely data capture in collaboration with clinical staff to enhance service delivery and promote awareness.

▪ Monitor and report on the impact of Cosmic’s work to support funding efforts and improve overall effectiveness.

We’re looking for a confident and organised professional who can manage high-impact projects, work effectively with NHS colleagues, and deliver meaningful services for families and staff. Following a promotion, Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity is hiring for a Research Officer is responsible for ensuring charitable funding supports the highest quality projects within our funding priority areas of: research; patient and family experience; technology and medical equipment; hospital staff support; education; and environment (through supporting redevelopment projects and capital builds).

Salary

The salary for this position is £31,935 per annum and we operate a hybrid working policy of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities

Research grant management

• Managing the delivery of GOSH Charity’s response-mode funding schemes, including our National Research Project Grant and ‘Lift Off’ pilot study funding call and others.
• Supporting potential applicants via email, phone or in person to ensure we receive high quality grant applications. 
• Processing, reviewing and validating grant applications. 
• Leading the peer review process using our Grant Management System.
• Project managing the delivery of the Research Assessment Panel.
• Supporting the input of patient and public voice, to ensure they’re built into our research funding decision making. 

Committee management

• Providing operational and secretariat support to the Research Assessment Panel and Lift Off Scientific Assessment Panels, and other expert research review panels as required.
• Managing agendas and meeting logistics, including face to face meetings as they are arranged.
• Preparing papers and reports, and collating these from across the team for delivery to the Committee in good time.
• Preparing high quality minutes that provide a clear record of discussions, decisions, and actions, and disseminating these following internal and Chair approval.
• Support the regular review of the Committee membership and tenure.
• Evaluating and recommending improvement and applying sector best practice to the Committee operations.
• Being a first point of call for Committee members, supporting them to deliver their role and ensuring they have a good experience working with GOSH Charity

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Previous experience working in grants management or within relevant scientific research. 
• Knowledge of research principles and the UK research funding environment. 
• Sound knowledge of paediatric research or similar discipline. 
• Demonstrate experience of research quality assessments, including peer review.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail. 
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

What the job involves

We have an opportunity for a Senior Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Officer to join our Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team. You’ll work closely with the Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Manager to successfully plan and deliver major strategic campaigns and key brand moments, taking the lead on day-to-day project management to keep everything coordinated and running smoothly.

As a Senior Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Officer you’ll take responsibility for developing content for allocated big-ticket campaigns and brand moments, ensuring all content is consistent with our brand and tone of voice. The campaigns you’ll be working on will revolve around our brand, high value fundraising and priority campaigns seeking to drive change. You’ll develop content marketing strategies that will tell stories to reach our key audiences. Our current campaigns focus on reaching more men so they can make informed choices about their prostate cancer risk, while also working to reduce health inequalities and better engage Black men, a community disproportionately affected by prostate cancer.

Collaboration is a big part of this role.  Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll help shape high-impact content marketing strategies and integrate key messages across the organisation. You’ll also support the development of creative content for key partnerships and campaigns, ensuring content aligns with our brand and campaign objectives.

We’re looking for someone who’s experienced in supporting strategy and delivering major campaigns and brand moments that make a real difference and help us connect with new audiences. You’ll have a solid understanding of current communications practices and a keen eye on emerging trends, bringing fresh ideas to the table.

Purpose of the job

This role is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and driven individual to join the UK Youth Network Delivery Department. The Summer Jobs Programme is the largest programme in UK Youth’s portfolio. Funded until the end of 2026, the programme is currently operating in its second year. Reporting to the Head of Programmes, you will be responsible for programme managing our Summer Jobs programme. As Programme Manager, you will deliver the programme to a high standard and that the benefits to young people are realised. This will include ensuring that colleagues and stakeholders are clear on their roles and delivering on them effectively, that programme deliverables are met, risks managed effectively, and delivery is within budget.

The Summer Jobs Programme is a paid employment initiative running from July to September 2025 and 2026, supporting vulnerable young people in England and Wales. It aims to reduce youth violence and improve future engagement in education, training, and work by removing barriers to employment and offering structured, empowering opportunities. This programme is delivered with a network of local youth work Delivery Partners and employers. Young people begin with a one-week pre-employment training course, followed by a five-week job placement. Throughout, they’re supported by both a local youth worker and an employer-based supervisor to ensure they receive consistent guidance. 

Funded by the Youth Endowment Fund and Youth Futures Foundation, the programme launched in 2024 with over 400 participants and has expanded in 2025. A built-in Randomised Control Trial (RCT) will assess its impact on youth violence and long-term outcomes. In 2026, the programme will grow further, including working with over 2000 young people, completing a three-year period of delivery and investment aimed at driving long-term, evidence-based change.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of the Summer Jobs programme, ensuring successful implementation across multiple regions.

• Manage the selection, contracting, and contract management of delivery partners and work with Project Officers to ensure effective fulfilment of contractual obligations.

• Coordinate timelines, budgets, and reporting requirements in line with funder expectations.

• Collaborate with IFF Research to support robust programme evaluation, including participant tracking and RCT protocols.

• Monitor programme performance and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and the Youth Endowment Fund.

• Champion the voice of young people and embed youth participation throughout programme delivery.

• Manage the relationship with our payroll company, working closely to ensure the successful delivery of Right to Work check and payroll services.

• Lead management of the programme risk register, implementing mitigation strategies and escalating risks as required.

• Mobilise our team of Project Officers to ensure effective Delivery Partner engagement with programme requirements and task manage other delivery roles to ensure effective programme management.

• Ensure compliance with UK Youth safeguarding policies and manage risk proactively across programme activities.

• Work with the Summer Jobs Employer Engagement Manager and the CRM Manager to refine and complete the development of the programme’s CRM system.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Senior Data and Insights Officer you will work with the Chief Impact Officer, within our Impact Team. Responsiblities will include: 

Database Usage and Reporting

• Support our Salesforce Lead in creating reports and dashboards, ensuring all data is relevant, accurate and secure.  
• Use our database management system to generate reports and data analysis for the Senior Management Team, and other internal colleagues, to support marketing campaigns, fundraising campaigns, statutory information requests and organisational insight.
• Enhance our data analysis and reporting by developing predictive modelling and exploring statistical significance of our findings.
• Prepare reports for college partners, funders, and the Board, which set out our data, findings and impact,
• Confidently write about insights and findings from our data, generating learnings and recommendations for the organisation and other stakeholders.

Internal and External Evaluations

• Support the Chief Impact Officer in developing assessment frameworks to robustly measure our impact and designing dissemination plans, to best harness and communicate that impact.
• Oversee and implement internal evaluation activity, for example, finalising student surveys, focus group and interview tools.
• Review and enhance data collection tools, process, analysis, and reporting.
• Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis of our evaluation data; and use the data to make recommendations to improve programme quality.
• Review and keep abreast of literature and research in the further education, wider education, tuition and research landscape. You will share and apply learnings to our evaluation processes and programme delivery.

 Data Quality and Assurance

• Support our ongoing compliance with GDPR across the organisation, ensuring that our data is robust, accurate and proportionate to the needs of the organisation.
