About the role:

This Best Companies Top 100 mid-sized organisation and Top 20 Charity is looking to appoint a Family Support Worker on a full time basis (35 hours per week), to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Essex Care Team.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Essex Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.

Having worked in a stressful and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

Team background

The Mental Health Crisis Breathing Space (MHCBS) team at Toynbee Hall is part of a national initiative launched in partnership with We Are Group and The Kaleidoscope Plus Group, funded by the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS). This service provides individuals undergoing mental health crisis treatment with temporary protection from debt collection activities, allowing them a “breathing space” to focus on their recovery without the immediate pressures of financial obligations. Job purpose

As a Debt Advisor (Omni-Channel: Telephone & Video), your primary role will be to provide over-indebted clients with tailored debt advice through various channels, including telephone, WhatsApp, and our network of video advice kiosks located in prisons, hospitals, job centres, town halls, and other community settings. You will help clients start their debt advice journey efficiently, ensuring they receive accurate and effective support.

• To provide over-indebted clients with free, face-to-face advice that is accurate, effective and tailored to individuals’ circumstances

Join the Wales Team 

Are you passionate about seeing children and young people in Wales have the opportunity to connect, explore, respond and grow in faith?  Scripture Union has a vision to see a new generation of children and young people have a vibrant, personal faith in Jesus and the Support Worker will play a vital role in supporting this ministry in Wales by providing communications, organisational and administrative service to the team.

About the role     

We’re looking for a support worker who will: 

• Support the Wales Mission Team in their ongoing mission to pioneer and create opportunities for children and young people, who are found in the 95% of those outside the church, to explore the Bible, respond to Jesus, grow in faith, and become sharers of the good news of Jesus for themselves. Our priority is to reach those who don’t yet know Jesus by helping them to connect, explore, respond, and grow. 

• Work with the National Mission Co-ordinator (Wales) and the team in the National Office to develop a wider provision for mission resources, communication and marketing materials in the Welsh language. 

This is a permanent role at 0.5 FTE with a salary of £11,970.  

What You'll Do   

• Administrative Support: provide administrative support to the Wales team with regard to arranging meetings, note taking, event bookings, internal communication and database support.

• Communication: communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences in Wales in a variety of ways including newsletters, social media, updates to the website, supporter communications, handling enquiries from church volunteers/workers. 

• Welsh Language: support with translation and proof-reading to expand the provision of Welsh language mission resources and communication with supporters.

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity to recruit for a Corporate Community Fundraiser in order to help the charity to deliver a bold and ambitious five-year fundraising strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and evolving charity that supports a vital but often overlooked community across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

In this dynamic and varied role, you’ll lead the development and delivery of regional and local corporate partnerships, ensuring strong engagement with businesses across the rural economy. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and regional volunteer networks to secure sponsorships, unlock fundraising potential, and drive community engagement.

As a Corporate Community Fundraiser you will:

• Develop and manage regional and local corporate partnerships to increase income and engagement.
• Plan and support events, campaigns and initiatives with sponsorship opportunities for corporate supporters.
• Design and promote programmes that encourage workplace giving, staff volunteering, and matched donations.
• Provide training and support to volunteers to help them engage local businesses and corporate sponsors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Events, Marketing, Volunteering, and Finance.
• Track and report on performance, ensuring alignment with budgets and strategic goals.
• Use CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics) to manage donor relationships and identify new opportunities.
• Ensure fundraising activity is compliant with GDPR and sector best practice.

You’ll be a confident communicator with a proven track record in either corporate or community fundraising. You’re motivated by building connections, spotting opportunities, and delivering tangible results.

To be successful, you must have experience:

• Experience in corporate or community fundraising within the charity sector
• Demonstrable success in developing and growing corporate partnerships
• Strong project management and organisational skills
• Excellent relationship building and interpersonal communication
• Financial awareness and experience managing budgets
• Comfortable using CRM systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics)
• Understanding of fundraising compliance and best practices
• A self-starter with creativity, confidence and a collaborative mindset
• Empathy for rural communities and an understanding of their challenges

Desirable

• Experience in a charity supporting agricultural or rural communities
• Knowledge of the farming sector and rural businesses
• A full UK driving licence (travel across England and Wales required)

Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 depending on experience + Car allowance

Location:  Flexible working environment (with some in-office time in Oxford)

Location: Homeworking with a requirement to occasionally work at Head Office (Vauxhall, London)
Salary: £28,857.12 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting allowance if applicable
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent 

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours rota that includes evenings, weekends and night shifts). Shifts are scheduled across a 24 hour rolling rota and we are unable to support specified non-working days (although shift-swapping is available).

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Domestic Abuse Helpline Advisor to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and other forms of violence and abuse, including those at the point of crisis.

Helpline Advisors are responsible for providing high-quality, empowering, emotional and practical support, assistance and information to women and those supporting them, who contact the Freephone 24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline, run by Refuge. Helpline Advisors deliver one to one support to women and those supporting them to ensure that they are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming service, enabling women to understand their rights, make decisions and increase their options. The job involves working across multiple platforms including phone and live chat, to inform survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.

Please note that this post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours rota that includes evenings, weekends and night shifts.
