Job description

Are you looking to take ownership of Finance, HR, IT, Facilities and Heath and safety for 2 schools in Central London?

Would you want to provide leadership to staff across these teams?

Do you want to develop existing processes and improve efficiency across the 2 schools?

School Business Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for a School Business Manager to work for a secondary school and a small primary school vey close to each other in Central London

Key responsibilities

  • Reporting to the headteacher, lead on various areas of the school operations including finance HR, IT, Facilities, Health and Safety
  • Manage various teams across these areas including administration and other staff across the organisation
  • Strategic financial planning over 3-5 year periods including budgeting, forecasting and year-end planning
  • Identify and secure external funding for the schools and present to the Headteacher and Governors, attending leadership team meetings
  • Lead on relationship management with the school's key suppliers
  • Be responsible for ensuring effective HR procedures meet regulation and provide confidential efficient personnel service to all staff
  • Work with Site Managers in order to manage and maintain the school sites

The Successful Candidate

  • Previous experience managing a multi-function operation (Finance, HR, IT etc)
  • Ideally have experience working within education however this is not essential
  • Strong communication skills with capabilities of presenting to senior members of staff
  • Staff management experience
  • Proactive and focused individual with ambition to improve processes
