Our Senior Officer Development Coordinator supports the elected leaders of the biggest charity in Manchester to make impactful change for students, to develop their skills and to thrive in their roles.

The Students’ Union is led by eight Exec Officers, directors of the organisation who are elected from the student body every year. The role of the Senior Officer Development Coordinator is to coordinate and deliver their induction package, ensuring they’re skilled up to make a difference during their time with us; to support them to develop far-reaching projects and campaigns that achieve their goals; to coordinate professional development opportunities that grow their career prospects; to support the team to work together effectively; and to ensure Officers end their time with us feeling supported and satisfied.

Our client's Future Fund will raise an endowment of £150million by 2030 and has already raised £43million from the recent 25th anniversary.  To deliver this campaign requires great collaboration and brilliant development professionals, including this Senior Strategic Projects Manager.

This role is offered on a maternity cover for c. 10-12 months with a start date no later than October 2025.

The Senior Strategic Projects Manager will implement successful strategies for strategic fundraising projects and campaigns. Reporting to the Director of Development and working with the Major Gifts, Individual Giving and Corporate Partnerships teams, you will be responsible for supporting solicitation campaigns of principal gifts and ensuring delivery of first-class stewardship of donors. The Senior Manager will also evaluate project strategy, approach and outcomes and facilitate relationships with senior colleagues and key volunteers to access new prospect networks.

The selected candidate will have a personal track record in fundraising and ideally working with senior colleagues to secure significant gifts of £500,000 or more. You will have demonstrable success in stewardship and a successful track record of developing and maintaining a network of contacts. Ideally, the best person for this job will have proven experience of managing complex and nuanced donor relationships which require a bespoke approach and a high level of judgment.

What you’ll do

ShareAction’s Banking Standards team works towards holding financial institutions accountable for their impact on climate change. We have a history of campaigning on key aspects of banks’ climate strategies – such as their emission reduction targets or fossil fuel policies – and we are gradually expanding our work to include other sustainability themes and banking regulation. We have achieved significant wins, such as contributing to HSBC becoming the world’s largest bank to cease financing for new oil and gas fields, Barclays dramatically reducing its oil sands financing, and mobilising investors to call on Societe Generale to set a renewable energy target.

The team is structured around two main pillars: our campaigning and our research pillar. The research pillar ensures that the team’s campaigning and advocacy work is based on sound analysis and facts. The Senior Research Manager oversees the research pillar, currently composed of three more junior researchers. The Senior Research Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a research strategy that underpins campaign needs for analysis and insight in line with campaign timelines and available resources. You will oversee and contribute to the delivery of high-quality research outputs, including thematic reports, investor briefings, and surveys of Europe’s largest banks, and ensure that they are underpinned by clear and robust research methodologies. Alongside the Head of Banking Programme and the Senior Campaign Manager, you’ll act as an ambassador for the team in external forums, the media, and when meeting with and presenting to external stakeholders, including banks, civil society organisations, and investors.

We have a formal hybrid working policy in place, and the Banking team meets in the office every Tuesday for a team meeting and team lunch. The Senior Philanthropy and Partnership Manager is a new role, bringing the staff team to eight. We are looking for someone experienced, ambitious and creative to be our first Senior Philanthropy and Partnership Manager, to drive our fundraising strategy, create new opportunities and relationships, lead the cultivation and stewardship of new trust funders, and develop a new major donor fundraising programme.

Person specification - essential criteria

• A creative and proactive mindset, with the ability to take initiative and generate new opportunities

Requirements:

• Passionate about working for an organisation with accessibility at the heart of everything it does

• Outstanding fundraising abilities with experience securing five and six figure gifts and managing public facing appeals

• Passionate and knowledgeable about the arts, music and opera  

• Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including funders of all kinds, audience members, visiting artists and ENO colleagues across all department

• Knowledge of Greater Manchester’s cultural scene and networks in the region

• Dynamic individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within the Development Department​

• Supportive colleague and experienced people manager, willing to share  skills, experience and knowledge with other fundraisers in the Department

• Ability to work with and build excellent working relationships with a wide range of visiting directors, conductors, designers and musicians as well as internal ENO staff

• Confident with technology and experience working with ticketing and CRM Systems​

• Excellent verbal and written communication and skills including excellent attention to detail

• Evidence of networking and relationship building at a senior level

• Commitment to professional development with a willingness to develop knowledge, skills and experience​ 

• Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex budgets in a simple manner appropriate to different stakeholder audiences

Senior Multimedia Producer

We’re looking for a Senior Multimedia Producer with 5+ years of experience to join our busy and collaborative content and creative team. In this pivotal role, you'll bring stories to life through video, animation, and multimedia content that supports people living with lung conditions and drives change through campaigns and fundraising.

Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. Reporting to our Creative Lead and managing our Multimedia Producer,
you’ll lead on the development, planning, and delivery of engaging, audience-focused multimedia projects across platforms. Whether it’s health advice, campaign storytelling, or awareness-raising content, your work will help amplify our message and reach the people who need us most.

You’ll bring creative flair, technical expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, and a sharp eye for narrative and audience engagement. You’ll be comfortable managing shoots, freelancers, and timelines, as well as coaching junior team members. A collaborative team player, you’ll stay ahead of content trends and platform best practices, always bringing fresh ideas and a people-first approach to storytelling.

Senior Prospect Research Manager

This role sits within our Social Impact Group and you will work closely with Senior Philanthropy Leaders and Major Appeal Programme Director to identify and access new and existing networks of wealth, opportunity and influence.

Our step-change in impact with children will be achieved by a step-change in our philanthropy & partnerships: as our new Senior Prospect Research Manager you'll take a crucial role in this transformation through strategic development and delivery of the full Philanthropy Programme prospect identification and pipeline management framework to enable high quality research, cultivation, stewardship of high value philanthropists and partners in support of TCS

In order to be successful in this role, you must have: 

-Extensive knowledge and understanding of Philanthropy audiences (particularly high net worth individuals and corporates) including motivations for giving and the principles of major gift fundraising to include identification, research, solicitation and stewardship

-Strong track record of successful performance as a prospect/fundraising researcher, including experience conducting due diligence within the not-for-profit sector

-Excellent written and presentation skills and confident ability to deliver verbal and written proposals up to CEO / Board level

-Excellent knowledge of legal, regulatory and ethical environment of philanthropy fundraising, including General Data Protection Regulation

About you

The successful candidate will be an experienced data professional with advanced SQL and Excel skills, capable of managing complex queries and large datasets. A strong track record of problem solving and improving data processes is a must. They will have an analytical approach to data, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.

About the role

As Senior Data Executive, you will work closely with the rest of the Data Team to ensure the Fundraising and Communications Department has access to high-quality data, delivered in a timely manner to support effective marketing campaigns. This includes working within Raiser’s Edge NXT to deliver data selections and imports, maintaining data quality and ensuring the CRM is accurate, reliable, and fit for purpose. You will also manage relationships with key suppliers and drive continuous improvement of data processes.
