The Philanthropy & Partnerships Communications and Stewardship Manager plays a key role in building strong, lasting relationships between Cats Protection and its most valued supporters.

Sitting within the Philanthropy and Partnership’s Research and Engagement team, you will lead a small team of specialist roles and shape how we communicate, steward and inspire corporate partners, major donors, and trusts and foundations, helping them feel genuinely connected to the difference their support makes for cats.

The Research and Engagement team sits within Philanthropy and Partnerships and brings together prospect research, communications and events to ensure a coordinated, insight-led and supporter-centred approach supporting fundraisers to grow pipelines, build meaningful relationships, and maximise long-term income for Cats Protection.
What we are looking for in our Stewardship & Communications Manager:

Significant experience in high-value fundraising communications and/or stewardship, including working with corporate partners, major donors, trusts and foundations.

Experience of leading or managing specialist communications or stewardship activity, with direct line-management responsibility and/or clear functional leadership.

Proven experience of overseeing the development of high-quality donor communications, propositions or cases for support.

Experience of working collaboratively with fundraisers and senior stakeholders in a complex, multi-disciplinary organisation.

Project Manager for the contactless giving rollout project, which will equip 850 churches with a contactless giving device.
As Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage and deliver the contactless giving rollout project. This project will equip 850 churches with contactless giving devices to enable them to receive digital donations and will be delivered in partnership with the Church of England's 42 dioceses. This project is in the early stages of delivery, following a successful period of scoping and engagement with key stakeholders to define the work. Your role may also include initial design work for other digital giving project ideas, depending on capacity alongside delivery of the contactless rollout.
This is an important post which will enable the Giving Directorate to deliver a high-impact project, supporting churches to sustain their ministry through diverse giving mechanisms.
Please note that this role is offered on a 0.6 FTE, fixed-term contract basis for 12 months, ideally starting from 24th August 2026, and is partial maternity leave cover for the Strategic Lead for Giving Mechanisms and Technology.

Project management of the contactless giving rollout:
- Work with the internal project team to deliver a national rollout of 850 contactless giving devices, to be delivered by Nov 2027
- Manage and maintain processes to support effective project delivery, so that it remains on track for completion on time and within budget
- Compile training materials to support churches and dioceses with onboarding and effective contactless giving, with support from the project team
- Deliver training to church in-person, as needed to support diocesan colleagues, in conjunction with the project team
- Organise and run 'train the trainer' in-person workshops for diocesan Giving Advisors, in conjunction with the project team
- Develop strong and effective working relationships with the project board, wider Giving Directorate, key internal stakeholders, suppliers, and diocesan Giving Advisors
- Report to the project board and Senior Responsible Officer on project progress
- Manage project risks and issues
- Capture key qualitative and quantitative data throughout the project
- Regularly circulate a project dashboard to diocesan colleagues to update them on device outcomes, working with the Senior Data Analyst to ensure accurate data analysis
- Track the initial realisation of benefits (most benefits to be realised after 2027)
- Work within the NCIs project management framework and ensure project documentation is kept up-to-date
Project scoping:
- Develop existing ideas for future digital giving initiatives by producing project briefs, in discussion with internal stakeholders
- Consult with diocesan Giving Advisors and churches as part of early project development
- Propose plans for prospective projects

The role will require some travel throughout England and Wales, and may also require occasional work on weekends. It is anticipated that travel to Church House will be required once a month, and travel to a diocese to deliver training would also be required once a month (which may require an overnight stay).

What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Policy and Advocacy Manager, you will lead the development and drafting of River Action’s overall policy strategy as well as leading on specific policy areas. You will play a leading role in shaping and advancing River Action’s political and policy influence, working closely with the Senior Management Team, Chief Executive and wider organisation to develop and execute an impactful policy and advocacy strategy.
River Action is the Co-Secretariat for the APPG on Water Pollution, offering our Policy and Advocacy Manager a unique opportunity to shape the policy direction for River Action and also to influence policy development across Parliament.
You will also work closely with our public affairs agency who manage our daily Westminster activities.
You will:

Lead River Action’s development and delivery of our policy and advocacy strategy on sewage, industrial water pollution, and water scarcity

Collaborate with River Action’s team and external partners to ensure our collective work is underpinned by robust and forward-thinking policy analysis and evidence.

Develop policy analysis to support campaign, communications and policy strategies, based on a strong evidence base and a sound understanding of the relevant legal and policy frameworks.

Translate complex policy and evidence into concise documents with clear messages and compelling campaigns to engage political and policy stakeholders.

Monitor and analyse political and policy developments, interpreting their implications and opportunities for River Action and its supporters.

The organisation is a UK charity that supports over 1,000 athletes each year – the vast majority aged 12 to 18 – by providing them with a financial award to help towards training and competition costs. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and Communications, they will line manage the Community & Alumni Engagement Manager and be accountable for the performance, growth and continuous development of the portfolio.
They are seeking someone with demonstrable experience in community fundraising, supporter engagement, individual giving or relationship fundraising. They are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience of growing community fundraising programmes and supporter engagement. The ideal candidate will understand relationship fundraising, supporter journeys and supporter stewardship to help shape the future of one of the UK's most respected sports charities.
