About the role:
We’re looking for a Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser to proactively identify and realise new corporate fundraising opportunities and provide excellent account management of existing partners so that Back Up can help more people affected by spinal cord injury.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be maintaining relationships with key corporate supporters, keeping them updated and engaged with Back Up’s work. This may be through signing up corporate supporters as sponsors of our events or services or encouraging them to sign up to our challenge events. As well as seeking out new partners and helping Back Up to develop long term relationships.
It is a hugely rewarding opportunity to bring the fantastic impact of Back Up’s work to life – helping us raise more funds and support more people affected by spinal cord injury.
About you:
We’re looking for someone with experience in either corporate fundraising or possibly you are someone with corporate experience who has account or relationship management skills that can help us grow the number of corporate supporters and corporate income.
You’ll have excellent presentation skills and be confident presenting to difference audiences. Be highly organized, with the ability to research new opportunities. You can plan and balance competing priorities. The role will suit a person who is confident to make an approach to a new corporate partner on one day, while writing a pitch the next.

About our role
A great opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Partnerships Officer to join us on a fixed term contract. The ideal candidate will be experienced and competent in corporate fundraising as you will be responsible for supporting the Corporate Fundraising team to diversify our current corporate portfolio.

In this role, there is plenty of scope for doing that although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Sitting within the Corporate Partnership Management team, the post holder will be responsible for providing the first-class day-to-day delivery of Teenage Cancer Trust’s dynamic corporate partnerships.
The post holder will be supporting on a variety of Teenage Cancer Trust’s sector leading partnerships, working on employee engagement activities, volunteering initiatives and partnership communications. The post holder will also be responsible for leading on key departmental events and cross organisational projects. The Corporate Partnership Executive will contribute significantly to the Corporate Partnerships Department exceeding its budget, and in turn help Teenage Cancer Trust support many more young people with cancer.
ROLE FOCUS
- Work with the Corporate Partnership Management team to set up and deliver dynamic and exciting partnerships with a wide range of companies and actively feed into, lead on and help to deliver, tailored programmes of fundraising initiatives and events that meet all parties’ objectives.
- Devise tailored and bespoke programmes of fundraising initiatives and events that meet all parties’ objectives and have both broad and specific appeal to the partner’s stakeholder groups
- Actively represent and grow support for Teenage Cancer Trust through regular telephone and face to face liaison with corporate partner contacts at all levels, attending client meetings and engagement events, making presentations and nurturing relationships across our partner companies.
- Develop close relationships with charity champions, committees, staff groups, CSR teams, Heads of Departments and key senior individuals within the companies that support Teenage Cancer Trust
- Work closely with the Senior Partnership Managers and Corporate Partnership Managers to support and project manage major corporate partner events and initiatives such as quarterly fundraising activities and volunteer collection weekends

About our role
The perfect candidate will be highly proactive, experienced and competent in new business generation, excellent account management and leadership. You will be responsible for leading the Corporate Fundraising team to diversify our current corporate portfolio. We currently raise almost £700,000 from our corporate supporters but intend to increase our income significantly over the next 3 years. Do you have the ambition to help us get there?
With the support of two Officers, you will generate new income from companies, helping to develop strategic corporate partnerships and be effective at pitching and presenting at a senior level. You’ll work across all partnerships, including Charity of the Year, pharmaceutical partnerships, sponsorship and CRM opportunities, in order to develop and build high value relationships and increase engagement for long-term support.

Our location
We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. But one thing we have learned from the pandemic, is that we are able to work very effectively from home. In this role, there is plenty of scope for doing that although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings. About you

What’s your mission?
We raise funds to help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds compete successfully with their more advantaged peers and access successful careers in the digital sector.
Ada is primarily government funded but to deliver outreach, develop and innovate our educational offers and provide necessary services to ensure disadvantaged learners succeed, we currently need to raise £500k per year from Major Gifts, Corporate Partnerships and Individual Giving. We also raise funding for specific projects.
Fundraising sits within the External Relations team and is currently delivered by the External Relations Manager, the CEO and Director of External Relations. The Head of Corporate Partnerships is a new role, funded by the the Salesforce Foundation, and will be instrumental to our growth over the next 5 years.
The Head of Corporate Partnerships will be accountable for an annual budget of £200k each year, will account manage a small number of existing partnerships and focus on developing the corporate partnership offering to raise new income from our current regions in London and Manchester. The HCP will line manage a new Fundraising Executive based in Manchester.
Ada has a sector-leading portfolio of corporate partners, from a wide range of industry sectors, who are vital to the achievement of Ada’s mission and the growth of our impact. Key responsibilities of this role include:
- In line with Ada’s organisational strategy set the strategic direction for Corporate Partnerships for the coming 3-5 years, to drive income growth.
- Build and maintain a high performing team, establishing effective ways of working and working with the executive leadership team and Head of Business Development to manage change and evolution across Corporate partnerships.
- Drive innovation and ensure the ongoing commerciality of the Corporate Partnerships offering, collaborating across the organisation to develop fresh corporate partner products/programmes to attract and retain income.
