The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, and as a member of the Senior Management Team, you will lead our fundraising strategy and team to secure significant, multi-year income from corporates, trusts and foundations, and major donors. You’ll be responsible for expanding our funding base, deepening key relationships, and ensuring STEM Learning has the partnerships and resources to achieve its ambitious mission.

- Driving new funder engagement and positioning STEM Learning as a trusted, high-impact partner delivering measurable social value.

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven leader who will take ownership for identifying opportunities for new funds and contribute to the overall fundraising strategy of STEM Learning. You’ll have:

Background Information and Purpose of Post

The Philanthropy Specialist at Humanity & Inclusion UK is a new senior fundraising position with responsibility for planning, identifying, cultivating, and managing major donor relationships to secure significant funding, in line with the new global Major Giving Strategy 2026 - 2030.
The purpose of the post is to:
· Develop and deliver HI UK’s strategy for high-net-worth individuals.
· Lead on the new Capital Campaign, 2026-2030, for HI UK.
· Work closely with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and family foundations to develop high-value philanthropic partnerships and ensure sustained, long-term support.
· Secure five- and six-figure major gifts from a diverse and sustainable base of major donors.
· Develop your own prospect pipeline and provide excellent cultivation of your prospects to produce committed, long-term donors.
· Manage existing partnerships and donors to a high standard.
· Report to and collaborate with the Global Specialist in Major Giving (based in the UK) on the delivery and implementation of your own ambitious philanthropy strategy for HI UK, in line with UK and Federation priorities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Partnerships
You will have responsibility for developing a new strategy for high-net-worth individual support and you will lead the delivery of this strategy to secure high-value philanthropic partnerships under the responsibility of the Global Specialist in Major Giving.
Capital Campaign
Our new Capital Campaign will be an invaluable tool for you in developing funding from high-net-worth individuals in the UK. You will lead on its launch and recruit a Campaign Committee, stewarding them to deliver results.
Relationship Management
You will lead on the development and stewardship of long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and family foundations.
Income Growth
You will drive the growth of an existing pipeline of high-net-worth individuals and develop this pipeline with new supporters from our individual giving stream and philanthropists who are new to HI, to secure significant gifts.
Collaboration
You will work closely with HI's Global Specialist in Major Giving, HI UK Trustees, our Federal Major Giving team, and international colleagues, to develop compelling proposals and provide timely impact reporting.
Stewardship
You will ensure exceptional donor stewardship and provide a high-quality experience for supporters at every stage of engagement.
Cultivation events
You will initiate and run high quality cultivation events for your donors and prospects, to form part of their stewardship journey.
Data Management
You will accurately manage donor records, communications, and reporting through our CRM.
Other duties
· Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with HI UK colleagues, the Federal fundraising and communication teams, and Major Giving counterparts in other HI national associations in Europe and North America.
· Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and high standards.
· Keep up-to-date and adhere to any changes in legislation, regulatory procedures, innovation, best practice and industry standards in relation to private fundraising.

We are looking for an experienced and adaptable Fundraising Manager to join the team at Winning Scotland, helping to drive sustainable income growth at an exciting time for the charity.

The Role
As Fundraising Manager, you’ll play a central role in helping Winning Scotland deliver sustainable growth by identifying and securing new income across trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, statutory and government funding, and public sector contracts.
Working closely with programme leads and the senior leadership team, you’ll research, prioritise, and secure funding opportunities to support the charity’s ambitious growth plans over the next 2–3 years. You’ll also develop strong relationships with funders, write compelling funding applications, and provide excellent stewardship and reporting.
You’ll focus on growing income from institutional and corporate sources, while senior leaders continue to manage high-value individual donor relationships, allowing you to concentrate on developing strong pipelines and managing effective bids.
About You
You’ll be a skilled and motivated fundraiser with a solid understanding of the Scottish and wider UK funding landscape.
You’ll have:
- A proven track record of securing income from trusts, foundations, corporates and/or statutory sources
 - Strong bid-writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex programme work into persuasive proposals
 - Excellent relationship management and stewardship abilities
 - The capacity to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
 
Ideally, you will also bring:
- Experience of strategic, high-value fundraising in a small or growing charity

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reporting to the Membership Manager, the Corporate Membership Officer – Commercial Relationships and Fulfilment will:

Account Management

Business Development

The Marketing & Communications team is crucial to the success of the Almeida’s ambitious vision and the strategic priorities for the team include:
- Build and manage the brand of the Almeida Theatre across London, the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
CRM:
- Lead on management of Almeida’s central CRM database, Tessitura, and act as principal point of contact with Tessitura for all system maintenance, development, and upgrades.
 - Work closely with the Marketing and Development teams to maximise the use of our CRM systems and ensure they are fit for purpose and align with the goals of the organisation.
 - Ensure the CRM provides an effective sales funnel and is an efficient sales process.
 - Work with the Box Office Manager to set up on-sales for new productions and events.
 - Update the information and content in TNEW (online booking system), working Box Office Manager to ensure a smooth sales path.
 - Work with the Development team to enhance our insight into current and prospective supporters. In particular, working to support Membership recruitment and retention, to encourage donations.
 - Work with the Marketing Manager to produce audience segmentation strategies.
 - Help troubleshoot queries or issues, related to Tessitura filtering those that cannot be resolved internally through to the Tessitura support.
 - Provide support to all of the key departments within the Almeida which generate and use data, including set up of users, and provide training as required.
 - Be a key part of the Almeida’s GDPR team ensuring all our data collection and processing complies with all current and future data protection legislation.
 
Sales, Insights and Data:
- Compile and deliver sales reports and analysis to relevant departments across the organisation, including senior and executive leadership, tailoring reports to suit a range of requirements.
 - Monitor ticket inventory and introduce strategies for managing ticket holds.
 - Provide up-to-date data analysis and reporting on marketing activities to help improve the effectiveness of campaigns.
 - Use sales data analysis to advise the Director of Marketing and Communications on ticket pricing strategies.

 - Manage and develop the Lead Coach and Assistant Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development. This includes weekly 1:1s, performance reviews and regular feedback
 - Equip your team to drive change through a data informed approach, and keep them accountable to agreed targets for the Spear Programme
 
Relationship management [20%]
- Manage great relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, donors, and your Board of Trustees
 - Embed into your local church; working closely with your Spear Trustees and congregation, and actively participating in their mission and events
 - Partner with the Spear Trustees and assist in implementing their funding strategy by helping to build corporate and donor relationships. For example, by hosting prospective donors in the Training Room
 
Delivery of the Spear Programme [20%]
- Support group and 1-1 coaching with numerous 16-24-year-olds: equipping them with practical work-ready skills and resilient mindsets
 - Provide guidance to the Lead Coach in the training room when dealing with behavioural and safeguarding situations and upskill coaches with consistent coaching feedback
 - Use a coaching approach to engage young people in challenging conversations that will enable them to take responsibility and over significant barriers to employment
 
Operations [10%]
- Liaise with relevant staff regarding site operations and work to resolve any issues as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies

Who We Are
Our charity was established in 1992, to provide care and support to people in Sussex, living with and affected by HIV. Over the past three decades there have been huge advances in treatment and care for those affected by the virus. People taking effective anti-retroviral medication (ART’s) can live long lives, with HIV becoming undetectable and untransmittable.
Whilst people who are living with HIV can live longer, many develop other physical co-morbidities as they age and many experience social and self- stigma. Our service users are often from marginalised groups, who often experience inter-sectional discrimination and health inequalities. Many of our service users experience socio-economic disadvantage and have multiple and complex needs.
The Sussex Beacon offers a range of services to people who have been living with HIV for decades through to those who are newly diagnosed. Our services include:

Corporate Partnership Fundraising at The Sussex Beacon
The Sussex Beacon has a proud history of working with corporate supporters who are passionate about making a difference. The Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser will lead on identifying new corporate prospects, developing compelling proposals, and managing a portfolio of existing partners. - Plan and deliver Democracy Classroom meetings, training sessions and networking events.
 - Represent The Politics Project at external meetings and events, acting as an ambassador for our collaborative and non-partisan approach.
 
Monitoring and reporting
- Track partner engagement, feedback and satisfaction to inform continuous improvement.
 - Support monitoring, evaluation and reporting to demonstrate the impact of the network.
 
This is a fast-paced role in a small but growing team. The post includes a six-month probation period and is fixed-term until March 2027, with potential for extension depending on funding. Occasional travel within the UK and some evening or weekend work will be required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Proven experience in partnership or stakeholder management, ideally within civil society, education or government sectors.
 - Demonstrable ability to think strategically and identify opportunities for collaboration or growth.
 - Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
 - Excellent project management and organisational abilities.
 - Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
 - Confident working with, and understanding of, the education and youth sectors (teaching or youth work experience not required).
 - Knowledge of and interest in UK politics and democratic engagement.
 - IT literate, with strong working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive etc).
 - Self-motivated, resilient and solutions-focused.
 - Willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends and travel within the UK.
 
Desirable
- Experience managing databases or CRM systems.
 - Experience monitoring and evaluating partnership impact and producing reports.
