Job description

Operations Officer

Location: London / Hybrid – 4 days on-site to begin with
Contract: Full time, 10-month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £34,000 FTE

MLC Partners is delighted to be exclusively supporting a values-led charity to recruit an experienced Operations Officer to join their small, collaborative team. This organisation is mission-first, focused on creating long-term positive social impact, and is looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable and motivated by purpose-led work.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, grow and make a real difference, while supporting people, processes and culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the London office and supporting a welcoming, well-organised workplace
  • Managing supplier relationships, including technology providers, and acting as first point of contact for troubleshooting and tech support
  • Supporting operational compliance, contracts, documentation and internal processes
  • Assisting with finance administration, including invoicing, raising purchase orders and basic reconciliations
  • Supporting the CEO with diary management, particularly around Board meetings and key governance activity
  • Coordinating logistics for staff events, away days and meetings
  • Playing a key role within the operations team, contributing to staff morale and office culture

About you:

You will be an organised, confident and proactive Operations professional with a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in working within the charity sector.

  • Previous office or operations experience
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Confidence using technology and learning new systems quickly
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with a “can-do” attitude
  • The confidence to support senior leaders and work closely with a CEO
  • Any experience supporting events, away days or team activities would be an advantage, but is not essential
  • An open mind and a genuine interest in working for a mission-driven, purpose-led organisation

Charity sector experience is desired but not essential - values alignment and attitude are key.

Applications are under constant review, with our client keen to interview in January and appoint the right candidate for a quick start. Please apply now, or reach out to Briar at MLC Partners for a confidential conversation.
