ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people. The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. At The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, accurate, accessible and well-managed data underpins everything from supporter stewardship to the delivery of ambitious fundraising campaigns. We are looking for a proactive and solutions-focused Senior Database Officer to help colleagues get the best from our fundraising CRM, strengthen data quality and support our ongoing transition to Raiser’s Edge NXT.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative Data and Fundraising Operations team at a time of significant growth. You will combine technical database work with stakeholder support, training and process improvement, helping colleagues use our systems confidently and effectively.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll help colleagues across the Charity get the best from our fundraising CRM and data by:

• Providing day-to-day support and troubleshooting for Raiser’s Edge NXT users
• Supporting fundraising teams as they move from Raiser’s Edge 7 to NXT
• Delivering clear training, guidance and practical support to CRM users
• Managing data imports, cleansing, audits and database administration
• Monitoring data quality and improving how supporter information is recorded
• Working with stakeholders to understand their needs and improve systems and processes

About you

You may already be working as a Database Officer, CRM Officer or charity data specialist and be ready to take the next step in your career.

You’re curious, proactive and solutions-focused. You enjoy investigating data and system issues, working with complex datasets and finding practical ways to improve processes. Just as importantly, you enjoy working with people and can explain technical information clearly to colleagues with different levels of confidence and experience.

You’ll bring:

To successfully lead the Grants team and raise voluntary income from a range of Grantmakers including Trusts, Foundations and local Government grant funders contributing to an overall team target of £1-million +. Working effectively with a grants team of three, and across the organisation, you will meet team annual targets of circa £675,000 through finding new opportunities, building excellent relationships with funders and managing the team effectively. This will lead to more young people reached by Eikon’s services.

Responsibilities

Income generation

· Lead responsibility for raising current annual team target of £675,000 for restricted and unrestricted income

· Work to agreed metrices including an annual target of £220,000 - £250,000/year with a pipeline including statutory, national & regional grant funders (some being invite only).

· Develop and lead networking plan (internal/external) to secure long-term grant and statutory funding opportunities to help increase financial income year on year.

Account Management

· Lead a stewardship framework, ensuring excellent account management of funders across the team (including own portfolio)

· Lead plans for the year, thinking creatively to develop new engagement opportunities such as panels, breakfast meetings and other events

· Collaborate with other leads and managers in the team to maximise opportunities through relationships, for example Major Donors, Corporate partnerships and Individual Givers.

Management

· Line management two staff members (Senior Grants Fundraiser and Trust Fundraiser), creating a positive and supportive working culture supporting them to meet their targets

· Lead on managing pipeline information on Donorfy, being able to pull reports for information and analysis including:

o Provision of data and narrative for monthly team meetings

o Contribution to Board reporting with narrative and pipeline information

o Analysis for annual planning sessions

Quality and standards

· Ensure all staff and volunteers understand and deliver within Eikon’s safeguarding policies and practices when taking part in fundraising activities.

· Ensure all activities follow the relevant Fundraising Codes of Practice and Eikon’s Ethical Fundraising Policy.

Finance and resources

· Budget responsibility with authorisation up to agreed limits

Lumos is looking for an experienced and solutions-focused Senior Programme Manager to coordinate the successful delivery of complex, multi-country programmes, including a major, multi-country and multi-year programme. 

This is a pivotal role for an accomplished programme-management professional who can bring people, plans, budgets and evidence together to keep ambitious projects moving forward. Working across countries, disciplines and organisational functions, you will help ensure that our programmes are delivered to a high standard, on time, within budget and in accordance with donor requirements. 

You do not need to be a specialist in childcare reform. What matters most is your strong track record of managing large, restricted-funded international programmes and your ability to navigate complexity with clarity, sound judgement and a collaborative approach.

The role 

Reporting to the Director of Programme Delivery, you will provide day-to-day coordination, monitoring and support across a portfolio of international projects. 

Your principal focus will be coordinating a major multi-country, multi-year programme across multiple participating countries. You will work closely with Country Directors, project teams, technical and MEAL colleagues, Fundraising, Finance and People teams, as well as donors and delivery partners. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Coordinating multi-country project delivery against agreed workplans, budgets, results frameworks and donor requirements
• Maintaining clear project plans, risk registers, dashboards, logframes and delivery trackers
• Identifying risks, delays and bottlenecks early and helping teams find practical solutions
• Managing budgets, forecasts and expenditure, including donor financial reporting and budget realignments
• Supporting country teams and partners to strengthen their project and financial-management capacity
• Managing or matrix-managing project colleagues across different countries and disciplines
• Coordinating monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities, ensuring that reliable evidence informs delivery
• Supporting high-quality narrative and results reporting in collaboration with grant-management colleagues
• Monitoring sub-awards, sub-grants and partner compliance
• Supporting donor monitoring visits, audits, procurement and grant-compliance processes
• Contributing to proposals and concept notes for future institutional funding

As projects begin, evolve and close, you will work flexibly across the wider portfolio, providing dependable coordination wherever it is most needed. 

About you

You will bring significant experience coordinating large, restricted-funded international programmes, ideally valued at more than £1 million per year. This may have been gained within international development, child protection, education, health, WASH or another related field. 

You will also bring: 

• A recognised project-management qualification and strong practical expertise in work planning, risk management and multi-stakeholder coordination
• Experience delivering single- or multi-country projects funded by institutional donors such as USAID, FCDO, the Dutch Government or major foundations
• Strong financial-management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, expenditure monitoring and donor compliance
• Experience of complex institutional-donor grant requirements, or the ability to apply closely related experience
• Experience managing or matrix-managing multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams
• Strong knowledge of results frameworks, indicators, monitoring and donor reporting
• Experience overseeing sub-awards, sub-grants, consortium partners or other delivery partners
• Excellent organisation, analysis and problem-solving skills
• The ability to remain calm, make sound decisions and manage competing priorities
• Excellent written and spoken English; Spanish, Romanian, Ukrainian or Arabic would be an advantage
• A genuine commitment to children’s rights and to Lumos’ mission and values

As Programmes and Grants Manager, you will lead the development, commissioning and management of high-impact programmes and partnerships across The Harpur Trust and Bedford Giving.

Volunteer It Yourself (VIY), a UK-wide not-for-profit organisation linked to youth skills and employment, volunteering and construction, is looking for a passionate fundraising manager to drive our income streams and play a crucial role in helping to grow our income.

As the Fundraising Manager you will be responsible for identifying and securing new funding opportunities, developing existing opportunities and funding streams, writing and submitting funding applications and proposals and managing the ‘income’ pipeline.

Being in hospital can be really tough physically and emotionally. This is why our hospital charities do as much as they can to help patients and their families feel as supported as possible during their treatment. Each hospital charity provides the added extras that are "over and above" what the NHS can fund as standard. This includes life-saving equipment, state-of-the-art facilities, training and research, as well as free accommodation and patient comforts.

Across UHB Charity we are currently raising funds for a Total Body PET CT Scanner as well as our Children's and Newborn Appeals and Home from Home accommodation for civilians and military personnel, to name just a few.

As a Grants Manager you will help the Charity provide much needed equipment and facilities that will make a real difference to our patients and their families.

JOB TITLE: Grants Manager

SALARY: £40,000 per annum

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Grants Manager role is primarily based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for University Hospitals Birmingham Charity, with the expectation to travel to the other sites, Good Hope Hospital, Heartlands Hospital, and Solihull Hospital.

This post will oversee the Grants Team at the Charity, with the responsibility of overseeing the distribution of grant funding to projects that align with the charity's mission.

Working as part of a team, the role involves managing the full grant-making process, from designing funding programmes and assessing applications to monitoring funded projects and evaluating their impact. The manager works closely with applicants, trustees, and external stakeholders to ensure funding decisions are fair, transparent, and achieve meaningful outcomes.

They also develop grant policies, manage budgets, ensure compliance with governance and regulatory requirements, and use data and evaluation findings to improve funding strategies.

Strong relationship management, strategic planning, financial oversight, and decision-making skills are essential, along with a commitment to delivering positive social impact.

This role may involve occasional evening and weekend work at charity events and events organised by our supporters.

This role sits within our Grants Team and will oversee two Senior Grants Officers.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

• Ensure grant programmes align with the charity's objectives and priorities.
• Review and update grant policies, procedures, and eligibility criteria.
• Manage grant application processes.
• Oversee grant management systems and databases.
• Conduct due diligence on applicants, including financial and governance checks.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for trustees or grant committees.
• Support decision-making meetings and record outcomes.
• Build positive relationships with grant applicants, funded organisations, and stakeholders.
• Provide advice and guidance to applicants throughout the process.
• Act as the main point of contact for grant recipients.
• Monitor funded projects to ensure grant conditions are met.
• Review progress reports and financial returns from grant recipients.
• Evaluate the impact of funded projects against agreed outcomes.
• Identify lessons learned to improve future grant programmes.
• Manage grant budgets and payment schedules.
• Ensure grants are awarded within approved budgets.
• Monitor expenditure and forecast future commitments.
• Work closely with finance teams to maintain accurate records.

COMMUNICATION

• Relaying accurate and timely information to the fundraising team, the Charity Chief Executive and Charity Trustees on a regular basis. Communicating with clinical and non-clinical staff within the hospital. Communicating with donors and stakeholders.
• Dealing with enquiries from the general public in a professional manner, disseminating information and ensuring that the appropriate action is taken, whilst maintaining the Charity’s policies and procedures.

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to present oneself in a professional manner as a representative of the hospital and the charity.
• To maintain confidentiality in all aspects of duty, including grant and donor data.
• To assist in maintaining accurate records and to complete and return as requested statistical data.
• To maintain an accurate effective database, recording essential information and providing statistical data in accordance with guidelines and policy using Raiser's Edge, Microsoft Office, Word and Access.

MISCELLANEOUS

• To represent the Charity in a variety of different contexts and to a variety of different audiences.
• To ensure that a positive image of the hospital and the Charity is projected at all times
• To hold a flexible approach to working hours (the role will require the post holder to work evenings and weekends as necessary)
• To hold a flexible approach to work when asked to take on other fundraising or admin duties when the team needs to cover holidays, or at times of workload pressure
• To adopt a supportive and collegiate approach when working with the fundraising team and other colleagues within the hospital

The Grants Manager will also carry out other projects and duties as directed by the Head of Fundraising, Director of Fundraising and Charity Chief Executive.

The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Fundraising and Grants Manager to join our team. This is a pivotal role that will help strengthen and diversify Runnymede’s income generation and support the organisation’s long-term financial sustainability.

Working closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team, you will lead the development and delivery of Runnymede’s fundraising strategy, identifying and securing funding opportunities across trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, consultancy, individual giving and high-net-worth individuals. You will also manage relationships with existing funders, oversee grant management and reporting, and maintain a strong funding pipeline.

This role will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to develop compelling funding propositions and ensure fundraising activity is aligned with Runnymede’s priorities. You will also help build fundraising confidence and capability across the organisation, supporting a culture where income generation is a shared responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
