Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised individual to assist the Membership Services Senior Manager.
Supporting the day-to-day operations of our membership function, the successful candidate will be pro-active and highly organised. This role is vital in ensuring a positive experience for current and prospective members, maintaining accurate records, supporting recruitment and retention activities, and contributing to our communications and engagement efforts.
Scope and Accountability:
Membership Administration
- Maintain and update member records in the CRM system, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
- Process new membership applications, renewals, and resignations.
- Raise invoices for membership fees in accordance with finance procedures.
- Track and chase outstanding invoices in a timely and professional manner.
Member Engagement & Communications
- Draft and schedule e-blasts.
- Reach out to members to gather content, case studies, testimonials, and updates to feature across newsletters, campaigns, and advocacy work.
- Support the coordination of member surveys, feedback initiatives, and engagement campaigns.
- Respond to membership enquiries via email, in a timely manner.
- Assist with member onboarding and relationship management.
Prospect Research & Recruitment Support
- Research prospective members, and opportunities to support membership growth.
- Assist in the development of recruitment materials and outreach campaigns.
Events & Campaign Support
- Assist with organising member events, webinars, and briefings.
- Support event administration including registrations and attendee communications.
- Assist with our Young Systems Leaders awards programme – communications for the award and supporting online workshops.
Other Administrative Support
- Maintain internal filing systems and documentation related to membership activities.
- Support cross-departmental projects where membership data or insight is required.
- Contribute to improving membership processes and identifying opportunities for efficiency.
- Provide general administrative assistance to the Senior Membership Manager and wider team.
General

This role can be based at our Birmingham, Leeds or London hub. We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.

Role Summary:
The Smile Trian UK Senior Manager, Individual Giving leads on the development and delivery of the individual donor offline fundraising program, responsible for the acquisition, retention, upgrade and reactivation of individual donors through various channels including Direct Mail, DRTV, Telemarketing and SMS and Print. Employing a test-and-learn approach across the programme and liaising closely with the Digital Fundraising Director and the Direct Marketing Global Working Group, the role contributes to the development of Smile Train’s global fundraising strategy.
Serving as the local subject matter expert in direct marketing and fundraising data, you will translate complex data into easy-to-understand takeaways for the UK Fundraising Director and senior leadership ensuring that Smile Train is able to efficiently and effectively raise funds to continue transforming the lives of our beneficiaries.
This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity starting as soon as possible. Ability to travel, when necessary, for agency partner visits and organizational events is required.
Reports To: UK Fundraising Director
General Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the UK Director of Fundraising in the development of the offline Individual Giving Strategy and other key initiatives and keep them updated and fully briefed regarding their implementation
- Line-manage the Database Manager and Supporter Experience Officer
- Develop engaging donor acquisition and retention campaigns
- Utilise data to inform and strategically target key donor segments
- Create and execute direct communications to our valued supporters
- Ensure all offline direct marketing campaigns are completed on time and within budget
- Management of all campaign delivery, including post analysis
- Reporting to senior stakeholders on performance of the offline individual giving programme
Specific Responsibilities:
Direct Mail
- Execute offline acquisition and retention campaigns including review of direct mail kit laser and insertion samples for quality control
- Effectively manage external agency partners and provide strategic direction on all direct mail campaigns
- Conduct testing to optimise creative and evaluate results to make data-driven decisions for future mail concepts
- Manage direct mail creative development, ensure brand compliance and provide directive on content/messaging
- Participate in weekly production call with creative and production agencies to review status of deliverables for all campaigns
DRTV
- Execute all aspects of Direct Response Television (DRTV) donor acquisition program, including:

- Set-up of inbound telemarketing and SMS with telemarketing agency
- Manage creative review and development
- Manage weekly performance review and provide updates and recommendations to vendor
- Review and approve media buying plans
- Manage source code assignment and upload to database
- Management of external creative, media and contact centre agencies
- Strategic planning, performance monitoring and reporting
Sustainer Program
- Manage all monthly Direct Debit and other regular individual donations
- Manage the execution of the donor journey for all regular donors and the conversion, upgrade and reactivation efforts
Other Duties
- Working with external agencies, develop effective testing methodology to inform long-term investment decisions
- Execute all offline acquisition campaigns in diversification of new donor sources (e.g. Package Inserts)
- Approve cost estimates and media plans ensuring spend to budget across all campaigns
- Build and manage the offline individual giving programme budget across all channels
- Manage all invoice processing and complete monthly accruals for Finance
- Other duties as appropriate for this role.
Essential functions:

Required Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a direct marketing role, proven track record in planning and delivering effective direct marketing campaigns across a range of channels including Direct Mail, DRTV, Telemarketing, SMS and Print channels
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field, although an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for this required level of education.
- Skilled with modern and traditional marketing and fundraising channels
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
- Able to take ownership of a process and to use problem solving skills to resolve issues.
- Fluency in a donor CRM, experience with Salesforce preferred
- Demonstrable organisational, professional, and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across teams
- Excellent people-management skills with the ability to coach and line manage staff
- Excellent project manager who is extremely detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills.

Our purpose-built Therapy Centre in central Reading serves and strengthens the MS community across Berkshire and nearby counties. About This Project: Bessels Green Baptist Church is thriving community of Christians who have recently received a substantial legacy gift of £1 million. Following extensive community consultation, we have decided to develop and launch a community garden/outdoor hub on a site that we have already secured. Our aim is to improve the mental well-being of people in Sevenoaks and the surrounding villages. The project will offer a range of horticultural, nature connection, exercise and other therapeutic activities available to all. We want it to give people a sense of belonging and responsibility in a safe space, while developing skills and emotional well-being that will support other parts of their lives. We want this to be a long-lasting, self-sustainable, inspiring project that will impact those in our community who are experiencing a vulnerable time in their lives.
About This Role
Reporting to: Trustees of Ash Platt Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO)
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and passionate Project Manager to help us design and deliver an exciting outdoor mental health project that will benefit our local community in significant ways. You will create a natural, nurturing, calm outdoor space to bring people together to support their wellbeing.
Initially you will work from home or with office space available at Bessels Green Baptist Church and will need to travel regularly to meetings and the garden site. Once launched, the role will require attendance at the garden several days per week.
Key Responsibilities
· You will build upon the findings of the Community Mental Health Scoping Exercise to develop a comprehensive project plan to launch the garden in the first half of 2026 – having designed the space in conjunction with the local community and experts who have related experience.
· You will promote the garden and its activities to potential beneficiaries and partners, establishing a marketing and communications strategy and building relationships with community leaders and stakeholder groups.
· You will create a programme of activities to support wellbeing and mental health, design effective ways to monitor and evaluate impact and ensure constant learning and improvement as the project develops.
- You will create a welcoming, positive, and inclusive environment where people from any background will feel valued and supported.
- You will develop the operations of the garden with volunteers and partners, taking responsibility for its maintenance, promoting health and safety standards and ensuring that volunteers have the tools, equipment and workwear to work safely and comfortably.
- You will manage a comprehensive programme of volunteering to support garden operations, identify pathways for volunteers to take on leadership roles. recruit and manage any future staff required and design training and support structures for all team members
- You will extend the reach of the original legacy gift by exploring a diverse range of funding opportunities, identify and pursue match funding and build partnerships with potential funders and supporting organisations
About You
Essential Requirements
- Educated to degree level or higher, or with equivalent work experience.
- A demonstrable experience of managing and launching complex projects of a similar nature and the ability to manage an outdoor space.
- A passion for working outdoors and awareness of the benefits to people's wellbeing of being outside in nature
- Practical experience of working alongside mental health services.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and demonstrable competence in IT, data management and data protection.
- Strong budgetary and financial management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to be a team player who works collaboratively and takes a people oriented inclusive approach.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills - equally confidently with senior leaders, partners and service users

Senior High Value Fundraising Manager
Salary: up to £51,176 (depending on experience)
Location: Remote with regular travel to London / Downton
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: 12 month fixed-term
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior High Value Fundraising Manager to join our Relationship Fundraising team at Help for Heroes. This senior role will shape and lead one of our most strategically important income streams—ensuring we continue delivering life-changing support for veterans and their families.
This senior role is perfect for a confident relationship fundraiser with experience securing major gifts, running high-value campaigns, and delivering impactful special events.
You’ll lead the development and delivery of our high-value giving strategy delivering in excess of £1.2m over the next 12 months, including the £17m No One Left Behind campaign, major donor income, and a new 3-year Special Events strategy. With responsibility for a talented team, you’ll build a strong major donor pipeline, secure 5- and 6-figure gifts, and deliver exceptional supporter experiences.
You’ll collaborate across the organisation to shape compelling proposals, develop high-value communications, support our 20th anniversary plans, and ensure strong financial management and reporting.
As a senior leader, you will inspire, coach and develop your team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence and innovation.
About You
We’re looking for a strategic and inspirational leader with:
- Proven experience securing large (6-figure+) gifts from HNWIs
- Successful delivery of multi-million-pound campaigns or major donor programmes
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
- Strong event leadership experience in income-generating and stewardship events
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence managing £1m+ targets, budgets and KPIs
- A flexible, calm and collaborative approach
- Passion for supporting veterans and their families
- Regular travel and some evening/weekend events are required.

The Relationship Fundraising team is a key driver of sustainable long-term income for Help for Heroes securing income from Philanthropists, Businesses, Trusts and Foundations, Volunteers and Community partners. About CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.
Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.
The Role
We’re looking for a creative and proactive individual to join our marketing team at CoppaFeel! – this role will play an essential part in supporting our 3-year organisational growth strategy. This is an incredibly exciting time to join the team at CoppaFeel!, with ambitious plans happening in 2026, and the opportunity to own and develop a new area of our business.
We’re seeking an individual with experience in developing and nurturing relationships with high profile ambassadors and patrons in the charity sector. The right candidate will take the lead in identifying cross-functional projects across our organisation where high profile ambassadors and patrons could help further our work to end the late diagnosis of breast cancer in young people, including fundraising, influencing and awareness raising campaigns. The successful candidate will be confident project managing high profile relationships, with existing connections to talent, as well as being fully immersed in youth culture. They will have experience and understanding of working with influential external stakeholders, and will play a key role in shaping new opportunities in this area for CoppaFeel!.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced ambassador professional who wants to make an impact at a small organisation with their vision and innovation. You’ll work collaboratively with the wider Marketing, Fundraising, Operations and Education teams within the organisation.
You’ll sit within the Marketing department and report to the Marketing Director. You’ll work closely with the Senior Engagement & Events Manager, Content Manager, Senior Challenge Events Manager, Head of Partnerships, Storyteller Manager and Senior Policy Manager.
This is a fixed term role for 18 months. The role is part time for 3 days per week.
Duties & Responsibilities

Help raise awareness of CoppaFeel! amongst 18-24 year olds by creating, developing, and nurturing long-term, high-level relationships and strategic engagement plans for ambassadors and high profile supporters that resonate with this group. Lead on creating our ambassador and high profile supporter strategy, and manage how this is executed across the organisation.

Lead collaboration with teams across CoppaFeel!, including Marketing, Fundraising and Education to create plans to integrate our ambassadors and high profile supporters. Provide expert guidance on celebrity and ambassador activity to ensure alignment with our values and strategic objectives.

Develop and deliver an effective Ambassador Relations strategy that drives impact across campaigns and cross-organisational projects. Create new opportunities that contribute to CoppaFeel!’s strategic and financial goals.

Play a lead role in identifying and creating new ambassador and high profile supporter relationships.

Develop new and meaningful engagement opportunities for existing and prospective ambassadors, patrons and high profile supporters, ensuring best in class planning, delivery, and relationship management. Finding captains for our fundraising treks.

Work closely with the Marketing Department and Marketing Director to establish effective processes around ambassador management, including social media management, and impact reporting

Work in partnership with the full Marketing team to ensure strong executions and delivery of overall results.

Work with leads in Education, EDI and Fundraising to help deliver relationships supporting their areas.

Support our organisation’s Press function, working collaboratively with our Press agency and Marketing Director to identify appropriate opportunities for ambassadors and high profile talent.

Support our content creator work, working collaboratively with our Content Manager and Social Media Manager to identify appropriate opportunities for ambassadors and high profile talent. Work with our EDI team to ensure high profile talent and ambassadors reflect our diverse audience group.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential

Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role leading on ambassador and high profile supporter relationship management, either client or agency side.

Experience working in a celebrity environment, including talent booking, long-term relationship building and project management. Confident independently owning high profile ambassador and supporter relationships, with strong experience working collaboratively with high profile talent.

Demonstrable ability to deliver ambassador talent strategies, tailored to key audiences and working with others to execute.

Strong project management skills.

Highly organised with the ability to use initiative to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
