JOB PURPOSE

You will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO, trustees and international colleagues to steward and cultivate key donor relationships and continue the development and implementation of the strategy to grow the major donor pipeline. As a Senior Manager, you will take ownership of the overall Major Donor Strategy, and budget and provide strategic insight into how we grow and improve our programme.

You will be confident in navigating complex environments with multiple stakeholders and in negotiating internally as well as externally, championing the major donor programme to ensure a strong enabling environment for the growth of the programme. You will enjoy developing strong relationships, have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and will be adept at managing donor and prospect pipelines as well as crafting compelling donor communications.

This role will be responsible for managing the Philanthropy Manager role and will provide support, mentorship and coaching to help the development of this role.

ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES

• Manage the philanthropy manager role through coaching, and by motivating and supporting them to reach their annual target.
• Build on a warm portfolio of donors to achieve current income targets and spot opportunities for growth and deeper development of philanthropic relationships
• Monitor and deliver annual philanthropy budgets and KPIs, assessing ongoing performance, proactively managing risks and providing accurate reporting.
• Own and drive the Major Donor strategy in collaboration with the Head of Philanthropy.
• Support on intermediary strategy and growth in this area.
• Work as part of the Philanthropy Team to grow opportunities within the major donor funding stream in line with UK4U’s fundraising strategy
• Lead on the growth and development of a robust prospect pipeline working with the corporate team, individual giving team, trustees, prospect research team, philanthropy team and other key stakeholders.
• Work with the wider international organisation to identify the most appropriate funding propositions for donors and also the internal technical experts and leadership colleagues who can help support and drive forward opportunities.
• Craft compelling propositions and proposals for major donors and ensure quality and timely reporting on donations made.
• Establish a strategic and tactical response to selected prospects and existing major donors in the event of humanitarian emergencies.
• Work independently and with the prospect researcher to gather up-to-date and accurate information on existing and prospective donors.
• Maintain accurate records on Salesforce, for income recording and earmarking.
• Work with the wider team to deliver bespoke activities including virtual and in-person events
• Support wider PPH strategic initiatives: helping identify and implement enablers to help the organisation secure and grow more multi-year partnerships, including at transformational levels.
• Help to position and raise awareness of UK4U’s role among peers, donors and other audiences by participating in sector networks and representing UK4U at events, as appropriate.
• Work within UK4U’s due diligence policy and GDPR policies and processes.
• Support the philanthropy team in other activities, as requested.

Read for Good’s Grants and Trusts Manager leads on securing high-value income for the national charity from trusts and foundations, typically securing one-off and multi-year grants in the five- to six-figure range. You will research and cultivate prospective funders, produce compelling, tailored proposals, programme reports and manage a strong pipeline of funding opportunities. You will also develop and steward long-term funding relationships that align with our mission and strategy, building on our well established and robust pipeline. In addition to your own portfolio, you will support the wider grants and fundraising team, helping to deliver on team targets, strengthen internal processes, and ensure high-quality reporting and compliance.

This is a key role in the charity’s income generation strategy and will work closely with senior colleagues to shape fundable programmes and plan for long-term sustainability.

Location: Read for Good office based in Nailsworth (due to location, own transport is desirable); we take a flexible approach to working from home

Salary: Circa £35k to £41k (depending on experience)

Key responsibilities

Income Generation and Fundraising

• Research and develop a strong pipeline of new and existing high-value trusts and grant-making prospects (typically five- and six-figure applications).

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To support the flow of legacy income ensuring the smooth, efficient and sensitive handling of gifts received through bequests, wills and estates. The role requires a close attention to detail, accurate record keeping, and good numeracy. Appropriate and sensitive written and oral communication with families, legacy supporters and solicitors is very important.

The role requires compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. In essence, an Assistant Legacy Officer is a vital part of a charity's fundraising efforts, ensuring that legacy gifts are processed efficiently and effectively, maximising their value and impact. Most of all, it is about honouring the wishes of those who support us by way of gifts in their Will.

Although the role of Assistant Legacy Officer sits within the Finance Team, it will also include some elements of legacy fundraising and marketing in collaboration with the Marketing and Fundraising team. This includes promotion of our free Will service and supporting promotion of legacy giving through campaigns and events.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: RESPONSIBILITIES

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Legacy Administration:  Managing a caseload of legacies (pecuniary, specific, etc.), ensuring the organisation receives its full entitlement, and keeping records up-to-date.
• Communication: Interacting with solicitors, executors, and other beneficiaries, responding to inquiries, and providing updates on legacy progress.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and detailed records on the organisation's Digbi system, ensuring compliance with regulations and facilitating reporting.
• Compliance: Keeping abreast of probate matters and ensuring the charity's legal rights are balanced with reputational considerations.
• Collaboration: Working closely with the Senior Legacy officer and with other teams, when necessary, such as Pet Profile, Finance or Marketing teams in relation to legacy giving, legacy fundraising or gifts in wills.
• Reputation Management: Ensuring all communications and actions related to legacies maintain the The Cinnamon Trust’s positive reputation.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to manage a demanding workload and prioritize tasks. Tom’s Trust, a charity dedicated to providing clinical psychology support to children, with brain and central nervous system tumours, and their families.  We currently have services in East Anglia, the North East, North West of England and Thames Valley and have ambitious plans to extend our reach but need your help to do so!

They are looking for an experienced Trusts and Foundations fundraiser, to manage a portfolio of high level grant funders, whose support is vital to the work of their organisation.  

Working closely with the Trusts and Philanthropy Manager and the wider Fundraising team, the postholder will research potential funders, write compelling grant applications, and build strong relationships with funders to ensure continued and increased support. They will have a strong track record of securing five/six-figure funding from trusts and foundations, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders effectively.

About the role

You’ll lead and develop a high performing business partnering team of 2, that empower key stakeholders across the organisation to make strategic decisions through timely and insightful financial analysis. 

As  a strategic advisor and trusted partner to your own business areas, you’ll provide high-quality financial analysis and insight, driving team performance and ensuring the effective and efficient use of resources. You’ll continuously foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive the charity's mission forward.

What you’ll do

• Manage and mentor a team of Finance Business Partners, ensuring their professional growth and the effective delivery of financial support across the charity.

• Set the standard for and provide high-level financial analysis, insight, and recommendations to senior leaders and department heads to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.

• Oversee strategic and financial performance through analysing variances,  trends, modelling, and scenario planning,  providing recommendations and challenges alongside financial strategies to  ensure departments adhere to budgets and financial targets. 

• Lead the team on the preparation and management of annual budgets, forecasts and annual accounts, ensuring that financial plans reflect the charity’s priorities and strategies.

What you’ll bring

• CCAB recognised professional accounting qualification with proven experience working as finance business partner in a complex organisation 

• Experience in managing and developing a team, with a focus on driving high performance and fostering collaboration. 

• Proven experience in a finance business partner role, with experience managing a team of finance professionals. 

• Strong ability to provide strategic financial guidance and insights to senior leadership, translating financial data into actionable plans.

We Are Survivors are a survivor focused voluntary sector organisation that aims to create and facilitate safe spaces for male (including trans and non-binary individuals) survivors of sexual harms across Greater Manchester providing access to quality assured support. About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Trauma Informed Therapist to join the team. Leading peer-mentoring support to trauma-informed therapists while delivering trauma-informed therapeutic services. We are a dynamic service with a holistic service model, so the senior role is supporting wider than just direct delivery.

You'll play a key role in supporting clients, managing communications, supporting volunteers/placements. You will work closely with our Community Development and Criminal Justice Services teams to ensure survivors have access to the right support. All staff have a Thematic Leadership area to expand the organisations knowledge in areas impacting male survivors and their loved ones.

About You

You’ll be someone who is a qualified and experienced therapist working with trauma. We’re especially keen to hear from people with experience in working with men, sexual harms and supporting therapists and trainees, but we value transferable skills too. If you're passionate about creating a society where no male survivor is left behind, this could be the role for you.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead peer-mentoring support to trauma-informed therapists.
• Deliver trauma-informed therapeutic services.
• Lead accurate clinical record keeping of therapeutic service interventions.
• Lead the supervision of therapeutic services waiting lists.
• Undertake specific therapeutic projects as directed by the Executive Team.

Person Specification

The following attributes are Essential for this role:
Registration:
• BACP, UKCP, BPS (or equivalent).
Qualifications:
• Counsellor/Psychotherapist (BACP or other appropriate membership body recognised).
Knowledge and Experience:
• Experience of coaching or mentoring.
• Understanding of issues relating to rape and sexual assault, particularly those relating to boys and men.
• Experience of providing 1:1 counselling/psychotherapy.
• Experience in data management and information governance.
Skills:
• Ability to prioritise own work load.
• Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, or equivalent, and electronic database system.

Registration: Non applicable.
Qualifications:
• Masters Level or above in Counselling/Psychotherapy.
• EMDR / Post Graduate Diploma in CBT.
Knowledge and Experience:
• Previous experience of working within a highly confidential setting, adhering to data governance.
• Previous experience of working within the voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) sector.
Skills:

The Woodland Trust is looking for a PR Officer to help us develop our PR campaigns to help raise awareness of our brand and inspire people with our work.

The Role: 
•    You’ll be responsible for all our regional PR and sector press activity.
•    You’ll manage media relationships and collaborate with comms leads across the UK to deliver this work.
•    You’ll deliver PR campaigns and be responsible for press delivery.
•    You’ll support senior PR officers with filming and national news opportunities.

•    This role includes a mix of working from home and at our main office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Visits to Grantham would be required no more than once a month on average.
