Purpose of the Role

To lead on the recruitment, development, training, and well-being of a team of volunteers who deliver vital Home-Start support to families. The role involves managing a caseload of volunteers and supporting families directly where appropriate. Over the course of the year, an average of one day per week will be dedicated to leading volunteering strategy and practice, with the remainder focused on family support delivery.

Key Responsibilities. As Volunteer Lead Co-ordinator you will:

• Carry out initial home-visits and support families to set and monitor goals
• Match volunteers with families according to need and capacity
• Supervise an appropriate caseload of volunteers and enable them to support families
• Monitor safeguarding concerns and liaise with the Operations Manager/Director as needed
• Lead volunteer recruitment to grow and sustain HSH’s diverse pool of volunteers
• Create marketing materials (flyers, social media, newsletter content) in collaboration with Communications and Campaigns Coordinator (CCC
• Oversee and co-ordinate the delivery of Volunteer Preparation Courses
• Organise / deliver a programme of training sessions for current volunteers
• Lead on annual volunteer social events and develop ongoing opportunities for volunteer recognition and reward

Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

Overall job purpose

This is a fundamental role within our South regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer.

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. The Local Community Officer will engage and support communities and volunteers to care for 29 historic churches across Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, ensuring each site achieves agreed standards.

Specialist Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to have either an extra dimension of experience or a higher qualification level as determined relevant for the particular post. Specialist Support Workers provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community. Support is also provided to develop a model of re-enablement towards self-advocacy, self-management and empowerment, incorporating the principles and practice of recovery, co-production and peer support.

The 5-week rolling rota pattern includes both evening and weekend shifts. The shifts are from 07:00 to 15:00 or from 14:00 to 22:00, with a mix of both types. You will have approximately one full weekend off every five weeks, plus one additional Saturday off and one additional Sunday off, resulting in a total of two full working weekends in every five weeks.

Fine Cell Work (FCW) is a charity and creative social enterprise committed to the rehabilitation of people in prison, and post-release. Our innovative Open the Gate (OTG) programme at our Battersea Hub offers work experience, volunteering opportunities, accredited training, mentoring, and signposting support to participants/ Apprentices at any point on their resettlement journey.

About the role:

We are now looking for an experienced and dynamic Engagement and Support Officer (ESO) to join our team. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by people in contact with the criminal justice system and will work proactively to establish meaningful and sustainable cross-referral pathways with external agencies. They will nurture a professional, inclusive, and safe working environment; use their knowledge, insights, and expertise to support tangible outcomes for all Open The Gate participants; and develop the wider programme offer in line with our organisational objectives.

• undertaking monthly work coaching sessions for team members to develop and upskill them in brewing and bar management skills

• providing in-work support to assist team members in maintaining and retaining employment, including frequent in-person meetings during the first few months of a successful employment match

About You

We are looking for a skilled leader with experience in advocacy, policy or research, ideally within an international NGO, development or humanitarian setting. You will bring:

We're looking for a dedicated individual who is experienced in working with young people, and passionate about improving the outcomes for them, to join our team as a Mentoring and Employment coordinator.

Reporting directly to the General Manager for Feel Good, the role will be responsible for coordinating the mentoring and development support for Regenerate’s 16 plus service, as well as the employment offer at Feel Good (Regenerate’s social
enterprise).

About the role:

Regenerate runs a thriving and well established mentoring and employment services for 16 – 25’s. This comprises of two areas:

1. Mentoring for young people who are experiencing a range of social and emotional challenges and barriers to employment, and

2) Employment at Feel Good (Regenerate’s social enterprise).

Feel Good is a coffee shop business Regenerate established to train, employ and mentor young people aged 16-25 who are not in education employment or training (NEET), have experienced disadvantage, or are at risk of exploitation. Also, for every
coffee sold we provide a meal for a child in one of our partner services in Africa or Eastern Europe.

Regenerate and Feel Good are within an exciting period of growth in size and impact as a charity, and this role plays a pivotal part; coordinating and delivering mentoring support and development opportunities for young people employed in the business, as well as those within the community who are in need of support. We have an exciting opportunity to join one of our teams in Southwark as Assistant Support Worker (known internally as Duty Worker). You'll be able to develop valuable skills and experience while playing a key role in providing support to St Mungo’s clients.

Where you will work: Grange Road is a 29 bed - high complex needs support project situated in Southwark, commissioned by the City of London.

About the role

In the role of Duty Worker, you will be the first point of contact at reception for St Mungo’s clients and visitors and have the opportunity to create a welcoming and supportive environment within the project. Other responsibilities will include:

• Jointly running the project day to day with other members of the team.
• Working on reception to answer phones, oversee entry to the building, and provide basic advice and support to clients.
• Keeping communal areas and office space clean and tidy.
• Coordinating important Health and Safety checks and other administrative duties.
• Work alongside the team to provide a person-centred support to residents and clients.

Shift pattern: 3 week rolling rota, mix of early and late shifts. 1 weekend worked every 3 weeks (both Saturday and Sunday are 12.5hrs shifts).

The Big Issue is looking to appoint to a critical role supporting our vendors. The Support and Outreach Worker will be a leading role in our belief of “A Hand Up Not a Hand Out”, and has been created to improve our service to vendors, helping them to increase their income through selling our magazine and providing casework support.
 
You will also positively promote The Big Issue in your local area, build partnerships with third-party organisations and identify and promote opportunities all with the aim of moving people out of poverty.
 
To offer our vendors the best possible support you will have experience and knowledge of working with vulnerable adults in a frontline setting, along with the ability to offer effective sales advice and guidance helping them to increase their income through magazine sales.
 
The role requires the willingness to drive a company van throughout the South East region, therefore a full driving license is essential and due to our insurance regulations you must be over the age of 21.

Based in an NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) setting, you’ll manage a caseload and deliver tailored one-to-one interventions, including assessments, SMART action plans, job search support, and interview preparation.

You’ll help clients to find work and return to work (after illness or other absence), negotiate workplace adjustments, and collaborate with clinicians, Job Centers, training providers, and legal services for joined-up support. The role includes maintaining accurate records via IAPTUS (our online data management system), contributing to service development, and supporting data reporting.
