We have three refuges in Haringey and provide emergency accommodation to women and children fleeing domestic abuse and sexual violence. We are there for women at a time of crisis and help families take their first steps to freedom and recovery.
About the Role
Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no day is the same This role requires using your initiative and proactive attitude than reactive.
You will also be working with women who are in trauma and can be in crisis requiring you to be empathetic but aspirational. You will provide advice and support to women who have experienced domestic abuse in a refuge setting, across the three sites. You will carry out risk and needs assessments, develop support plans and carry out key work with women survivors. You will be expected to work in one of the three Refuges as part of your role
Job role tasks include:
- Support – Induction, Risk Assessments, Domestic Abuse, Mental Health, Benefits, Debt Advice, Move On, maintain accurate recording on Solace case management system and ensure regular reviews are carried out.
- Frontline delivery of support directly to service users.
- Repairs Identification/reporting/meeting contractors.
- Health & Safety – Basic observational H&S assessments and ensuring building compliance, flag risks in properties.
- Void inspections, basic void works – i.e. clean/clear, furniture, welcome packs.
- Service Users Arrears & HB Claims and benefits - Identify arrears of concern & raise to Service Manager.
- Helping service users understand housing benefits/welfare benefits that are available to them.
- Initial Safeguarding Reports.
- Deliver Clear Outcomes – contractual deliverables or Solace standards.
- Multi agency working involved with Service Users.
- Support service user to access other community services.
- ED&I Awareness-needs for SU’s including organising EDI activities.
- Promoting SU involvement activities.

About You
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and their children, as well as experience of providing emotional and practical support to victims of domestic and sexual violence. An in depth understanding of the needs of women and children from a diverse background is essential.
You will have experience of managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of the client group, with the ability to work with women to help them to understand their needs, risk assess, develop safety plan and support them in linking with other agencies.
You should have an understanding of the homelessness process, either professionally or personally. You will also have a working knowledge of the available legal remedies, housing and welfare benefits, as well as experience of providing workshops.
Outside of this, you will have excellent administrative and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage a caseload.

Overview:
The role of is a senior position within the Young Lewisham Project. The role is responsible for the workshop staff, young people and project management of the referral groups and activities. Main purpose of post
• Provide direct support to people affected by cancer by meeting in
person with or providing digital or telephone support to people using the
service (patients/clients, carers, relatives, professionals).
• Provide high quality information and support within defined level of
competence in relation to cancer. This will include assessment of service
users’ information and support needs (Holistic Needs Assessment/Cancer
Care Review), provision of written or verbal information, supportive
listening and action planning to facilitate self-management.
• Manage referrals from clinical teams in a timely manner, liaising with
clinical teams, primary care teams and community partners where
necessary.
• Provide care coordination around the individual to ensure their
experience of support feels seamless and is transparent, including
support from partner agencies.
What you do
Delivery of information and support to people living with and beyond cancer
and their families
• Provide information and support within level of competence of the post
(Macmillan Levels of Intervention Criteria L1,2,3,4; NICE approved four tier
model of psychological support Level 1, 2 & 3).
• This will include:
• Assess the needs of individuals attending / contacting the service and
identify the required level of intervention.
• Support users sensitively to help them understand clinical information
they have been given (e.g. around diagnosis, treatment, effects of the
illness and treatment, cancer terminology), helping to resolve situations
where users feel they have been given conflicting information. This will
include addressing concerns and queries and working to resolve them and
the ability to recognise and work within the limits of own competence and
responsibility is crucial, referring issues beyond these limits to relevant
people.
• Understand that there will be frequent exposure to distressing/ highly
distressing situations and deal with difficult and highly emotive situations
in a sensitive manner and base decisions on own professional judgement.
• Deal with service users with complex enquiries or support needs, or who
need help in accessing or understanding information, referring to
appropriate members of the wider clinical team (CNS, oncologist) when
appropriate or signpost them to other supportive services.
• Liaise with clinical staff to support patients and carers in distress.
• Demonstrate a high level of skill acquired through relevant training or
equivalent experience whilst demonstrating awareness of the limits of own
practice and knowledge and when to seek appropriate support/ advice.
• Provide supporting information around topics such as reducing the risk of

complex issues, directly involving others where necessary, e.g. Clinical Lead
(HCP), Cancer Information and Support Advisors, Head of Cancer Support
Services; Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS).
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective relationships
with partner organisations in primary and secondary and the voluntary the
sector via networking, also giving talks and presenting at relevant groups.
• Plan and deliver ‘pop-up’ information clinics, ensuring these pop-up clinics

• Lead the development and delivery of courses and workshops.
• Lead peer support groups and service-user involvement.
Operational Delivery
• Collect and collate data regarding contacts with people who use the
service both in person and by telephone and produce reports of activity as

Recovery Navigators (Mental Health) – Intensive Community Rehabilitation Service x 2

Out of Trust Team: You will be working as part of a brand-new, clinically led Out of Trust Team within the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust (BSMHFT). Although employed and managed by Birmingham Mind, you will be working as part of an integrated clinical team. You will be working with individuals who are currently admitted in independent out-of-area rehabilitation placements and repatriate them back to local services within the Trust or their local geographical areas. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, made up of medical and psychology professionals, local authority and housing experts. This role is not limited to the Birmingham area, and you will be expected to travel outside of this area. A full driving licence and the use of a vehicle is essential for this role.
Intensive Community Rehabilitation Team: You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary clinically led Intensive Community Rehabilitation Team within Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust and as such although the service manager employed by Birmingham Mind will be your line manager you will be working as part of an integrated clinical and psychology team. You will be working in partnership with people who are experiencing mental health difficulties who are currently living in their own accommodation within the Birmingham area and require a period of intensive rehabilitation. Your support of individuals will be a person-centred recovery approach that focuses on developing, maintaining, and strengthening individuals’ skills, abilities, and personal resilience.
Ideally you will be QCF/NVQ level 3 qualified or have a willingness to work towards this qualification. It is essential that you have an empathy for people experiencing mental health
issues and are committed to service user involvement and empowerment. You will have a good understanding of equal opportunities, confidentiality, safeguarding and health & safety.
You will need to be flexible due to the shift patterns which include evenings and weekends. Shift patterns include 9.00am - 5.00pm and 12.00pm to 8.00pm.

- To enable the voices of Springfield Project service users and other local residents to be heard and acted upon both within the Springfield Project and in the wider neighbourhood/ community

- To amplify the voices of Sparkhill residents to ensure representation in local and city-wide systems
- To develop, implement and maintain creative and effective communication methods and tools to promote opportunities for engagement and participation in Springfield Project activities and in the wider neighbourhood, including outreach to those that might be marginalised by traditional approaches
- To coordinate the Sparkhill Child Friendly Neighbourhood Youth Advisory Board, ensuring young people are empowered and enabled to participate, to act on issues that are important to them and ensuring that they have ownership of the group and the activity that develops from the group.

Based in Lewisham in South-East London, Sydenham Garden is a unique wellbeing centre utilising its gardens, nature reserve and activity rooms to help people living with and recovering from mental and physical ill-health. About the role
Our Director has been in post since November 2021 and on returning from maternity leave in January 2026 she will be working 3 days a week. We are seeking a Co-Director to jointly lead the organisation going forwards as we have made a positive decision to move towards a co-director model. Headway Gloucestershire was established in 1987 and since then we have been working to make a positive difference to the lives of adults with an acquired brain injury. We provide specialist recovery support and respite through our centre based Day Service and outreach support through our Community Links Service. We provide group and one to one sessions to support individuals.
Open every weekday, Headway House is at the heart of Headway Gloucestershire. We provide a structured programme of activities for individuals to choose from. Our programme is designed to support participants to work toward their own recovery goals and gain insight into strategies that support individuals to manage the physical, cognitive, sensory, emotional and behavioural outcomes which can occur following an acquired brain injury. Peer group sessions enable us to harness the recovery benefits of peer contact and support.
We have been successful in receiving three years of funding to deliver services in up to five locations in Gloucestershire and are recruiting a part-time Support Worker to support the delivery of our Hubs – to meet and support the recovery needs of individuals with acquired brain injury in their community. The Support Worker will be responsible for the delivery of group sessions designed to support individuals with acquired brain injury work toward their recovery goals. Responsibilities include: -

We're looking for a Senior Trauma Informed Therapist to join the team. Leading peer-mentoring support to trauma-informed therapists while delivering trauma-informed therapeutic services. We are a dynamic service with a holistic service model, so the senior role is supporting wider than just direct delivery.
You'll play a key role in supporting clients, managing communications, supporting volunteers/placements. You will work closely with our Community Development and Criminal Justice Services teams to ensure survivors have access to the right support.
