Role Description
Volunteers
o Working with the CEO and Head of Support Services develop and deliver the Volunteering Strategy for the organisation.
o Work to significantly increase the inclusivity of volunteers and the work done by volunteers.
o Oversee the recruitment of volunteers and ensure appropriate induction in collaboration with relevant staff.
o Deliver mandatory initial and ongoing training for volunteers.
o Working with colleagues, produce and keep up-to-date policies, processes and forms, ensuring volunteers understand and use these resources.

o Manage all volunteer programme communications in collaboration with the Communications Officer including: ebulletins, website, social media and print materials.

Support Services Events
o Lead on the development and delivery of three one day conference style events annually. These will be held throughout the UK and will offer panel discussions and networking for our community.
o In partnership with the wider team, occasionally represent The Foundation by running information stands, coordinating volunteers and preparing information for external events such as industry conferences.
o Where appropriate attend and present at external meetings.
o Support the management and delivery of the portfolio of online and in person events delivered by the Pituitary Foundation in conjunction with the wider team.

Our Helpline runs from 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, warm and experienced individual to support our dedicated Helpline Volunteers and Befriending Volunteers within the Helpline team.
This role requires working flexible hours, including 9am–5pm, 10am–6pm or 11am–7pm between Monday to Friday to meet services and volunteer needs (3 days a week).

You will be providing continuous support to all our volunteers at the Helpline team, directly contributing in providing information and support to our Helpline enquirers, with both proactive and reactive content and information on prevalent topics or trends affecting the MS community.

Home-Start Southwark works with families who are pregnant or have children under 5. Our core work is to provide weekly support from a trained peer volunteer or worker empowering families to make changes to improve their lives. The way we support families continues to have relationships at its core – we believe, and our work proves, that the confidence and resilience gained by having someone standing alongside you offering encouragement and support, can make a huge difference to parents and children. Being a parent is difficult regardless of circumstances and many of our families are facing several additional challenges.

Main Purpose:
- Work closely with the Chief Executive to develop and evolve Home-Start’s services in response to changing needs, informing the strategy for our family support and development of services.
- Provide vision, direction, and leadership to motivate staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality services that make a measurable positive difference to children and their families.
- Manage the HSS Family Support Team, coordinating and quality assuring their work.
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners to deliver evidence-based interventions that support parenting and prevent need escalating, including structured programmes and group work.
- Be a Designated Safeguarding Lead for the charity.

We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong track record in contract performance and people management to oversee our project activity at Action Foundation and join our Senior Management Team. We need an individual who is analytical, innovative, and able to undertake a collaborative and strategic approach to developing the charity’s services.
The successful candidate will demonstrate their experience in project management and leadership, developing networks and partnerships and have a strong awareness of the issues facing asylum seekers and refugees.
