We are working in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust to deliver the Bromley Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub (BMHWH), as part of the ongoing transformation of mental health services in the London Borough of Bromley under the NHS Long Term Plan. The service integrates the expertise of local primary, secondary, and voluntary sector providers to offer flexible, holistic and person-centred support for adults experiencing mental health difficulties.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Advisor to join the BMHWH team. Working within the Information, Advice and Guidance and Tailored Wellbeing pathways, this role offers the chance to make a direct impact on individuals’ recovery journeys by providing timely, personalised support.

You will manage a caseload, delivering one-to-one and group-based interventions, offering information, advice, guidance and signposting, and co-producing support plans tailored to individuals' goals and needs. You will undertake holistic assessments, and work closely with clinical colleagues at Oxleas to ensure a joined-up approach between clinical and non-clinical support. Your ability to build strong relationships and maintain accurate case records will be vital to support quality assurance, risk management and positive outcomes for clients.

The role requires excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a commitment to recovery-focused practice, and the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. You will have experience supporting people with mental health challenges, including those with complex or heightened needs, and a strong understanding of local services in Bromley. A good working knowledge of safeguarding procedures and outcome-focused practice is essential.

About the role

At Sessile Court, we provide supported accommodation for adults with enduring mental health needs. We recognise that, like everyone, our customers’ needs fluctuate and, as such, the support we provide is individually tailored in line with customer needs, preferences and aspirations.

You will be responsible for ensuring that each customer has a personalised package of support in place and that risk assessments reflect a positive approach to risk-taking. You will ensure that customers have choice and control over their support and are empowered to live as independently as possible, with the long-term aim being to gradually reduce support in a safe and planned way.

You will report to the Area Manager and will be part of a wider team of experienced Team Managers, who provide peer support to each other. A typical day will involve working in partnership with a range of stakeholders involved in customers’ support, allocating and matching support workers to customers, mentoring and coaching support workers in carrying out needs assessments and reviews, and writing support plans and risk assessments.

This is a full-time position working 35 hours a week on a 9-5 basis with a requirement to participate in on-call duties approximately once every two months.

• You will have a passion for working closely with individuals experiencing mental ill-health and will have an understanding of the stigmatisation and discrimination often experienced by our customers
• You will have an in-depth understanding of a range of approaches that are effective in achieving high customer involvement

You will line manage a team of 2 peer support mentors. Our Peer Mentor role is designed for people who have lived experience of that faced by our residents. You will support with all aspects of line management and wellbeing support, ensuring they are well supported within their role. 

As an Activities Coordinator, you will coordinate and deliver high quality activities and programmes which work in support to individual support places and goals, by creating a calendar of activities, celebrations, awareness months/days/weeks and events to encourage social skills and community engagement. You will also maintain effective stakeholder relationships, find new partnerships, and create a catalogue of partners which are easily accessible.

Job Title: Support Mentor

Location: Based in service which is in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea [RBKC] (nearest tube: Latimer Road - Circle and Hammersmith and City Lines))

Salary: £27,000

Shift Pattern: 12 month fixed term contract, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rota 09:00 - 17:00 and 11:00 - 19:00, you may also be required to work outside these hours including weekends, lates, and bank holidays.

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Mentor to join our team based in RBKC to support our residents who have multiple and complex needs which could include mental health, substance use, homelessness, and/or offending backgrounds. You will support in providing our residents with the support needed to help them overcome their personal barriers, and achieve their goals in a person centred approach. You will work within a residential setting, creating a safe and comfortable space which our residents can call their homes during their time within the service. The role includes:

• Supporting residents with daily tasks
• Holding a caseload, conducting key work sessions which are personable to their needs
• Carry out regular welfare checks, safeguarding checks, and general living checks
• Encourage residents to take part in activities and events
• Keep support plans up to date on a regular basis
• Work closely with the rest of the team to provide overall excellent service delivery, this may mean also supporting with their caseloads, and other tasks as necessary
• Carry out general housing management support

About you

We're looking for someone who has a true passion to support those who have multiple and complex needs, with a drive to help support those who suffer with homelessness, mental health, and substance use. You will be able to build rapport and trusting relations in a professional setting, and able to build positive outcomes. You will have an adaptable and flexible approach to helping others, with an understanding that each individual has different levels and types of support needs. 

• Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector, particularly around multiple and complex needs
• Ability to show empathy and compassion to our residents, and different challenges they face
• Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
• Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders
• Understanding of the different needs people with multiple and complex needs have and be aware of the social marginalisation that can be attached to people who face personal challenges

Citizens Advice Hammersmith & Fulham (CAHF), part of the national Citizens Advice network, is a thriving local advice organisation that provides information, advice and casework support to 18,000 local people per year. We are recruiting for the brand new role of Early Intervention Training Coordinator.

The Tackling Destitution Together project is a partnership between Citizens Advice Hammersmith and Fulham and Hammersmith and Fulham Foodbank aimed at enabling eff ective early intervention in the borough and focussing on support for local disabled people. The project is a pilot, funded by Citizens Advice and Trussell Trust national bodies for 1 year.

We will do this by; training frontline workers & volunteers on the main issues aff ecting those at risk of poverty and on how to eff ectively navigate systems to resolve these issues. Using training and resources to enhance the conversations held at an early stage and focus on connecting people with information and support before they fall into crisis. Hand holding people through these journeys navigating the system and resolving the root cause of their issues. Embedding research and participation to demonstrate the impact of this approach.

We will know we have succeeded if; our training off er is taken up by those agencies seeing people at crisis trigger points. The agencies we support report improved confi dence to assess and signpost before a crisis. Indicators of crisis, such as food bank referrals, reduce in number. We can demonstrate the impact of hand holding support to prevent people from reaching crisis.

• Understanding of social welfare systems, particularly benefi ts, housing, and debt

Hillside is looking for a part time Caseworker to join the Mental Health Recovery Team which supports Islington residents with:

• Person-centred, coproduced and trauma informed recovery-focused interventions.
• Promotes independence and self-management for members
• Delivers a wraparound service in partnership with local authority, statutory agencies and community partners.
• Ensures members ‘involvement in active volunteering and coproduced activities, service planning and reviews

Main responsibilities:

• Motivate, lead and encourage member participation at all levels of responsibility, working alongside members to complete tasks.

• To work as a member of Hillside Team to deliver outcomes for the Recovery Programme
• To keep systems and database up to date with members ‘information
• To provide information and support at a time of crisis to service users.
• To manage a caseload of complex adult client cases, providing client centred, practical and emotional support.
• To conduct risk assessments and deal with safeguarding concerns promptly and in line with Safeguarding protocols and procedures.
• To offer information and support to members regarding their mental health, and signposting to appropriate organisation for issues concerning housing, benefits and any legal matters

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Experience in direct support work with adults with mental health diagnosis or other vulnerable people including providing emotional and practical support (one year minimum)
• Excellent caseworker with good assessment, motivational and empowerment skills
• Experience of working cooperatively and effectively in a team
• PC literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to work in diverse settings and with people with diverse needs.
• Knowledge and skills to operate within a trauma-informed approach.
• Ability to provide non-judgemental, non-directive, person-centred and confidential support to members in crisis
• A clear understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures
• Ability to break down objectives/tasks to manageable components and maximise the potential for member participation

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Community Outreach Manager to manage and expand our outreach efforts. The Community Outreach Manager will be responsible for leading a team to deliver Betknowmore UK's Community Outreach services, engaging with local communities, and supporting individuals impacted by gambling harms. 

This is a key leadership role that involves overseeing the service’s strategy, operations, and delivery, ensuring that services are accessible, effective, and meet the needs of diverse communities.

• Ensure the team is effectively engaging with local organizations, community groups, and other stakeholders to increase the visibility of our services.
• Monitor the quality of service delivery and make improvements where necessary to meet the needs of service users.
• 3. Strategic Planning and Service Improvement:
• Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement the strategic direction for community outreach services, ensuring alignment with Betknowmore UK's wider objectives.
• Continuously evaluate service effectiveness, gathering feedback from stakeholders, service users, and team members to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead the development and implementation of outreach campaigns and partnerships to engage at-risk communities.

4. Reporting and Compliance:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach activities and case management, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.
• Prepare and present regular reports on service performance, including outcomes, challenges, and achievements.
• Ensure that all outreach services meet organisational standards, as well as external regulatory requirements

5. Stakeholder Engagement and Networking:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including community organizations, local authorities, and support services.
• Represent Betknowmore UK at community events, conferences, and other networking opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with other service lines within the organization to ensure a holistic approach to supporting individuals with gambling-related harm.

Key Requirements

Essential:

• Must be London based as you will be required to attend community events and in-person meetings within the Greater London area.
• Significant experience in a leadership or managerial role within a social services, community outreach, or public health setting.
• Demonstrable experience in managing outreach or support services, with a focus on community engagement and impact.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage a team, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse data and use insights to improve service delivery and outcomes.
• Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of work.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.

Desirable:

• Knowledge and understanding of gambling harm, its impact on individuals and communities, and the available support systems.
• Experience of working in or with the gambling sector, or experience of working with vulnerable or at-risk populations.
• A relevant qualification in social care, public health, or community outreach.
• Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
