Summary of the role:

The Supporter Relations Engagement Team is involved in the planning and development of programmes and projects that puts supporter engagement at the heart of everything do we do. They play a pivotal role in making Muslim Aid more data and insight driven in the way we fundraise and communicate with supporters. The team’s aim is to increase the depth and value of supporter relationships whilst also encouraging repeat giving and overall supporter retention through targeted engagement strategies.

We are seeking a Finance Officer with a keen eye for detail, and an aptitude for learning new skills, to take on purchase ledger and payroll administration duties in our Finance Department.   You will have either begun on the path of attaining a financial qualification or had some experience in a similar role.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all purchases, payments and returns, including supplier invoices, staff payments (salaries, expenses and advances), project and contractor payments and credit card transactions.  Responsible for project reporting against budget.

Key responsibilities (full responsibilities listed in the application pack):

• Ownership of the purchase ledger system, administering the entire process of invoice receiving, checking, coding, distributing for approval, posting to the accounts software (currently Sage), setting up domestic and international payments for authorisation, and electronic filing of documents.
• Administering all credit card returns including distribution of statements to colleagues, checking and coding returns, collating documents, submitting for line-manager approval, posting to Sage and following up on outstanding items.

Job purpose

The Communications & Marketing Officer is a key role within our busy Communications Team. Principal responsibilities and duties

• Contribute to, and help to evolve, Willow’s communications activity, including emails, website, marketing and social media

Financial Accountant

£45,000-£52,000 per annum (dependent on relevant skills, experience and qualification) plus generous benefits

Location – Hybrid working split between the Foundation’s office in London and home. This usually averages at two days in the office per week.

About the role

We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to play a key role across our organisation, working with colleagues to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across our financial operations.

As a Financial Accountant, you’ll be responsible for preparing, analysing, and maintaining financial records and reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll support the month-end and year-end close, oversee payroll and accounts payable, and act as the first point of contact for grant and bank account queries. Your role will be essential in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function, providing expert financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing annual statutory accounts and audit documentation.
• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
• Oversee payroll processing (Sage 50), including tax and pension calculations.
• Manage accounts payable, including supplier payments and expense reconciliation.
• Maintain key financial controls, including grant payments, payroll, creditors, and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor and improve financial processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Support the Finance Director with cash flow analysis and forecasting.

What are we looking for?

• Qualified or finalist (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with 2-5 years of experience in financial accounting.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes.
• Skilled in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Financial Modelling) and accounting software (preferably NetSuite).
• Experience in payroll processing, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, able to present financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

The salary band for this role is £45,000-£52,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.

We are looking for a new Office Manager to organise and coordinate administration duties and office procedures in the charity. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety. You will be experienced with a variety of office software (such as email tools, spreadsheets and databases) and be able to accurately handle administrative duties.

As the central point of contact for everyone within our charity you will have an overview of many different things, an impeccable working knowledge of the charity and its aims, and will “pitch in” wherever necessary to ensure the charity operates smoothly.

This position is a permanent full time post (40 hours per week) which will be office based in Holderness House, 51-61 Clifton Street, London EC2A 4DW.  The starting salary for the post will be £37,129.00 per annum.

Essential Skills

§  Line management of key administrative staff.

§  Management the office budget, including processing invoices.

§  Upkeep of the charities’ customer relationship management (CRM) system; providing support to users and troubleshooting issues.

§  Act as the lead manager for ensuring compliance with data protection principles, policy and legislation.

§  Training users of the CRM.

§  Serving as a point of contact for internal and external communications, including general enquiries, phone calls, emails, and correspondence.

§  Coordination of administrative support to other departments, such as managing fundraising supplies and posting them to supporters.

ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people. The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. Together we want to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and be inspired through their cadet experience.

We want to develop the youth leadership and training abilities of adult volunteers whilst also helping young people to access cadet activities through fundraising, grant-making, developing new resources and direct support.

With at least two years’ management experience within a finance function, the Finance Manager is required to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable collaboration with all areas of the business to ensure accurate processes are in place including the sharing of data through manual or automated integration.
