You’ll be joining a high-performing team that has a large portfolio of high-profile corporate partners including but not limited to Omaze, The Perfume Shop, Slimming World, Bloomberg, TP ICAP, and Dyson. Alongside having just secured brilliant new partnerships with Cadbury, Warburtons and John West.

We’re looking for a New Business Officer to join our team, to secure new partnerships that will grow income and take us one step closer to a cure.

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Identify and build strategic relationships to generate income from new corporate supporters.

· A focused and strategic approach to identifying, researching, and targeting prospective corporate partners.

· Work closely with Corporate Partnerships Manager (CPM) to deliver our successful new business strategy. 

· Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities to include strategic partnerships and charity of the year partnerships. 

· Develop engagement plans for prospects, with innovative, commercially minded ideas, to maximise the chances of securing successful partnerships. 

· Create innovative and creative applications/proposals for charity of the year and strategic partnerships. 

· Actively network with potential corporate partners through warm contacts, events, conferences, and other available media. 

· Ensure effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of new business approaches in liaison with CPM, communicating progress regularly. 

· Take full personal responsibility for the timely recording of prospects, actions, updates, and notes within the CRM (Salesforce). 

· Work alongside the Partnership Development Officers on new partnership set-up, including establishing legal agreements with corporate partners. 

· Work closely with the Philanthropy team to leverage support from major donors and assist the Philanthropy team with their prospects where possible.

· Achieve agreed financial and non-financial targets, including income generation and meetings. 

· Support the CPM in the development and implementation of the corporate fundraising strategy for ARUK, to increase the team’s income, to ensure that the best use is made of internal and external contacts

Represent the charity professionally in a high-level corporate context.

· Organise and attend networking and cultivation events as required, influencing, and engaging high-level external contacts.

· Deliver high-quality and creative presentations and proposals to help target and engage prospects and convert them into partners.

· Organise tailored face-to-face meeting opportunities to initiate and build relationships.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current ARUK activities, including research being funded, and be an advocate of ARUK at all times.

What we are looking for:

· Corporate fundraising experience, or business development experience in a corporate role.

· Evidence of delivering high-quality and creative presentations and proposals to help target and engage potential partners/clients.

· Experience in creatively building new strategic partnerships/clients from scratch within a fundraising and/or corporate environment.

· Experience in engaging and building relationships with key external stakeholders and decision-makers to deliver positive outcomes.

· Experience in securing new partners/clients within a fundraising and/or corporate environment.

· Confidence working with computers – good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. 

· Excellent personal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with people at all levels face to face and on the phone.

· Ability to write professionally, with an ability to adapt communications for different audiences.

· Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.

· Ability to articulate complex issues to supporters in a compelling manner.

· Strong negotiation skills and the ability to make financial asks.  

· Strong business development and relationship management skills, ideally from a charity background.

· Ambitious, professional, and hard-working team player.

· Outgoing, enthusiastic, and able to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

· Willingness to work outside of regular office hours during busy spells, as well as occasional travel within the UK when required.

We are in the early stages of implementing our 10-year organisational strategy, ARUK: Towards a Cure. Sitting within the Chief Executive’s Office and reporting to the Project and Programme Manager, the Project Officer supports the scoping, planning, and delivery of strategic, cross-team projects and programmes. The post holder also supports the Project and Programme Manager in embedding project management best practice across the wider organisation.   

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Project Management

· Deliver key, strategic projects, as determined by the yearly Operational Planning process, working with project teams to develop flexible project plans that can adapt to change. 

· Manage project risks, decisions, and dependencies, liaise with third parties, and monitor project progress, ensuring stakeholders are updated at key checkpoints. 

· Lead project reviews to capture successes and learnings and ensure project outcomes are embedded into BAU. 

· Support the Project and Programme Manager and Head of Programme Management on other ongoing projects and programmes as and when required.

Promotion of project management best practice

· Maintain ownership of the Projects team intranet pages and project management resources, for use by colleagues across the organisation. 

· Provide tailored project management consultations to empower colleagues to deliver their own in-team projects. 

· Support the Project and Programme Manager on delivering the ARUK Project Management Masterclass.

What we are looking for:

· Experience managing projects, including allocating tasks and managing risks, decisions, and changes. 

· Sound knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile).

· Demonstrable ability to work with and influence a variety of different internal and external stakeholders at all levels. 

· Working knowledge of project management tools, such as Excel, Smartsheet, MS Projects or similar.

Pratham is one of the largest and most respected education charities in India. We developed a model that can teach a child to read and do basic maths in as little as 30 days for £14. We also have preschool, vocational and women's education programmes. 

We have strong support from the UK Indian diaspora and are in a period of significant growth that has seen us triple in size in three years; we now raise £1.5m a year and have an ambition to at least triple again. While you will work in a small, fully remote team day to day, you will be part of the global Pratham network. The team in India has over 6,000 staff, and they raise $28m locally. · Works as Deputy Designated Safeguard Lead (DDSL) alongside the Options Manager, and Chief Executive

• Builds professional relationships with other agencies, provisions and professionals
• Builds good relationships with learners’ families/carers to make sure that they are involved (as appropriate) in developing learners’ skills and abilities

Person specification:

You will have:

· Experience teaching autistic learners and a good understanding of the complexities that come from having more than one diagnosis

• Experience of working with people with learning disabilities

· Knowledge and Understanding of Education Health Care Plans

· Qualification for teaching (adults or QTS)

The Autism Centre of Excellence exists to improve access to high quality support and remove barriers and stigma for autistic people, but to do this we need to grow our funding.

We aim to raise £5 million over the next five years to increase our reach, impact and activities, whilst creating a sustainable and predictable income stream for the charity. To do this we need to systematically build a pipeline of donors and supporters, to build profile and new relationships. In the short term we need someone who can lead the development of a series of applications to trusts, foundations and other sources of funding to support our priority workstreams.

Main duties and Responsibilities

• Primary focus will be on managing and soliciting income from your own portfolio of high value trusts, foundations and statutory funders, securing gifts of between £10,000 - £1,000,000 to successfully achieve the charity’s ambitious fundraising targets.
• Secondary focus will be on the planning and delivery of first-class Special Events and Major Donor fundraising.

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. JOB PURPOSE

As part of the Brand and Marketing team, the Social Media Officer will lead on social media strategy for the organization, working closely with teams across Magic Breakfast to develop and diversify our presence on social media. Through innovative, compelling content creation the Social Media Officer will raise awareness of our work and the Magic Breakfast brand. The role's aims are to reach and engage new audiences and to strengthen brand advocacy with exisiting target audiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Develop Magic Breakfast social media channels to grow an engaging environment for people with lived experience of childhood morning hunger and our wider supporter network.
• Develop and deliver effective strategies that optimise and grow our social media channels.
• Liase with both Magic Breakfast and corporate partners' design, PR and social media agencies to deliver effective and timely campaigns
• Monitor, improve (through testing and optimisation) and report on the performance and effectiveness of social media content and campaigns
• Write impactful and engaging social posts, sourcing approprtiate imagery and developing video content in collaboration with the Multimedia Producer.

You will work with a group of learners who have a combination of conditions and differences that make learning more challenging in all areas of life. It may be ADHD, Down’s syndrome, OCD or a genetic difference, but all our learners have the opportunity to make their life into what they want it to be. None of our groups are above 7 learners, all groups have support workers, and some have 1:1 support.
