Duties and key responsibilities:
Content development:
- Work with the Information and Content Manager to research, write, edit and produce new information materials including print publications, web pages, videos, etc.
- Work in line with Sarcoma UK’s information production process, including:
- Liaise with clinical experts and patient reviewers throughout the content development process
- Maintain formal systems within the information production process in line with the PIF tick quality mark
- Ensure all new content meets clinical standards, brand guidelines, plain English principles, and accessibility requirements.
Content updates & maintenance:
- Continuously review and update existing print and digital information resources to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a structured review schedule to keep materials current as per the PIF quality mark.
- Manage a comprehensive database to track all information resources and versions.
Content promotion & distribution:
- Work with colleagues to create promotional content for Sarcoma UK's information resources across multiple channels.
- Utilise social media platforms to extend reach and engagement with target audiences.
- Collaborate with internal communications and digital teams on content publishing and marketing.
Administration & reporting:
- Collect metrics and provide regular reports on content performance, user engagement and feedback.
- Assist in developing evaluation methods to assess impact of information resources.
General:
- To support new work within the information team.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals, people affected by sarcoma, and staff members.
- To attend Sarcoma UK events and take part in Sarcoma UK’s wider work.
- To travel occasionally to meetings and events. Occasional weekend or evening work may also be required and time off in lieu will be given.
- To undertake other appropriate duties as necessary for the efficient operation of Sarcoma UK.

Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Redbridge are working in partnership with Stepney and Wapping Primary Care Network’s Neighbourhood Team to support the Transformation of Mental Health Services across Tower Hamlets.
Tower Hamlets is one of the pilot Boroughs to implement the Community Mental Health Framework which aim is to redesign the offer to support people with serious mental illness (SMI) to not just get back on track with their lives but to be happier and more fulfilled.
The programme is grounded in a population health approach to SMI, delivered through and with Primary Care Networks in Tower Hamlets, with an ambitious vision to support more patients closer to home and reduce the stigma and fragmentation in existing services.
Purpose of the role
The Community Connector will be responsible for working within the Neighbourhood Team within Stepney and Wapping PCN to ensure that people with SMI are able to live fulfilled lives through offering of one-to-one support to set goals towards their aspirations, needs and to offer hope and choice using a range of skill, knowledge and tools to achieve this. The community connector is seen as valuable asset to our neighbourhoods and act us a local expert, gathering and sharing information about local services.
The post holder will work collaborative and in partnership with the Multi-Disciplinary Teams and local Services and Community Groups to create pathways of support for people and to will act as the ‘glue’, linking people in with experts and local assets, and undertaking support work in partnership with external stakeholders to complement their interventions. The post holder will support people to identify the wider issues that impact on their health and wellbeing, such as debt, poor housing, employment circumstances and unemployment, loneliness, isolation and caring responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
Case Management
· To support and offer opportunities for the involvement of people with lived experience of mental health in the design, delivery and monitoring of services.

You must have:
· To have attained a minimum Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
· Demonstrable and substantial experience of providing 1:1 support in mental health within voluntary or statutory settings
· Good knowledge and understanding of the diverse population in East London, their needs, complexities and the inequalities they may experience
· Experience of setting up and facilitating wellbeing groups and activities and delivering monitoring and evaluation activities in a 1:1 or group setting

Off the Record is an award-winning young people’s mental health charity offering a range of support services for children and young people across the London Boroughs of Croydon, Sutton and Merton. Our vision is to offer huge amounts of compassion and professional insight to children and young people living in these areas.
We’re currently recruiting two full-time Charity Administrators. The posts are office based and offer a great opportunity for a varied role in a forward-facing young people’s mental health charity.
To be successful in the role you must:
· Have an interest in and empathy for young people
· Be able to respond sensitively to young people in distress on the phone, in person, via email and text
· Have a professional telephone manner and excellent interpersonal skills
· Be highly computer literate and confident using Office 365
· Have very good organisational, administration and time management skills
· An ability to work within organisational frameworks and structures
· A commitment to operating within the policies of the charity including confidentiality and Equality and Diversity
In return we offer a salary of £29,507 p.a., inclusive of Outer London Weighting.
