We are looking for an experienced fundraiser, to lead on fundraising in the Department of Physics, as part of the friendly team working across the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences (MPLS) Division.
The Department of Physics is one of the top five departments in the world. Our academics observe the wonders of the Universe from the very big to the very small: from seeking planets with the potential for life outside the solar system, to undertaking some of the most delicate experiments in quantum physics. Physics has applications in so many fields, including biology and nanotechnology, to find new ways to treat cancer; the development of new materials to generate green energy; and the understanding of climate science, with its impact on the Earth. The Physics Department is active in developing these applications in part through a strong innovation culture that has created nine new companies since 2018 and with six more in the pipeline for 2024. The Department has a deeply embedded ED&I culture.
About the role:
You will be raising money to support research; to enable students from around the world and from every background to come and study at Oxford; and to help promote the public understanding of Physics. You will work closely with the Head of Physics, as well as some of the most inspiring scientists in the world, and will forge relationships with existing and new donors to the department. While an interest in science is essential, you do not need to be a Physics graduate, just an enthusiast for knowledge.
About you:
You are an experienced development professional with a strong track record of securing major gifts, a confident approach and the ability to think creatively. You will lead on major gift fundraising (£100k-£1m+) working with a range of donors (corporates, trusts and individuals). The department has a well-established alumni programme and a very active and supportive development board that you will work closely with.

- Coordinate the organisation and communication of sports fixtures to home and opposition teams in British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) and London Universities Sports Leagues (LUSL) competitions.
- Support the Campus Manager with the delivery of sports club committee training.

About the role:
The Event Coordinator will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of a portfolio of academic events, including conferences, workshops, seminars, and training courses held both in-person and online across Europe.
This is a fantastic opportunity to execute a range of duties such as venue selection, site visits, organising social programmes, academic panel scheduling, content creation, developing and maintaining stakeholder and supplier relationships, on-site event set up and management, and event website configuration.

About the FCLP
upReach’s Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP) is a graduate programme combining delivery work supporting our Associates (4 days per week) with exposure to a range of aspects of charity management (1 day per week).
As a Programme Coordinator on the FCLP you will be delivering personalised employment-focused support to a cohort of approximately 80 Associates, helping transform their lives by equipping them with the necessary skills to secure a top graduate job. During a typical week, you should expect to be working across a range of projects including 1:1 undergraduate coaching, group workshops, webinars (we refer to them as Video Forums), partnership management (both with university partners or employer partners) and more!
In addition to this, the programme offers the opportunity to develop skills in key areas of charity management by participating in 3 rounds of six-month rotations. What will I be doing?
The FCLP is a fast-paced but rewarding role. We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Project Coordinator to lead an exciting new project at the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
In this role, you will provide project management support for a newly commissioned programme of work aiming to support our strategic priority of education and workforce reform. The goal is to ensure that the physiotherapy profession can effectively meet the needs of populations both now and in the future. The project sits in the Practice and Development directorate but will require engagement across the organisation and externally.
You will use project management methodologies and structures including reporting of the risk register for the project, working with the project team and sponsors to mitigate any identified risks or issues. As part of the team, you will play an active role in supporting and progressing a range of projects within the broader work which will enable members to develop and innovate their workforce development.
The role requires engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, including CSP members and other professional bodies. You should feel comfortable delivering member facing services, communicating key messages, promoting resources and activities developed by the team, as well as contributing to the planning and development of each stage of the project.
The role requires someone who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues across the CSP but is also able to take ownership of designated areas of responsibilities and work autonomously to meet the requirements of this ambitious project. Furthermore, it also requires the ability to demonstrate leadership behaviours in one’s own role, and to manage upwards where appropriate.
To succeed in the role, you will need excellent organisational, information management and technology skills to deliver and develop projects and resources, as well as excellent skills in capturing, synthesising and analysing data. You will also need strong communication and organisational skills to manage a varied workload working to defined deadlines.

ABOUT STRENGTH & STEM
Strength & Stem is a small charity and social enterprise that uses floristry to empower female modern slavery survivors. We want to see female survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking restored from their trauma, empowered for the future, and able to sustain a good quality of life. We achieve our vision by offering an evidence-based, holistic programme. It incorporates tailored skills training (including vocational floristry, prevocational and wellbeing skills training), work experience, mentorship, and a supportive community. We run an eight-month programme each year, as well as alumni events, and social cafes. The skills and experiences survivors gain through our programme creates a lasting difference for them and their families through economic independence, strengthened wellbeing and increased community.
The charity is growing its programme delivery team and recruiting a Progress Facilitator. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join a small, ambitious team, continually ensuring that our services are survivor-centred and have an impact positively disproportionate to the organisations’ age and stage of development.
TERMS
Role title: Progress Facilitator
Responsible to: Programme Director
Hours: One day per week (7.5 hours per week). This is a fixed term role for 12 months, with the possibility of extension and increased hours (funding dependant).
Salary: £28,000 pro rata (£5,600 per annum at 0.2 FTE). Reasonable programme-related travel expenses will be covered (this does not include accommodation).
Based: This is a hybrid role. You will be required to attend all programme related activities (including skills training sessions, social cafes, alumni events) and facilitate work experience placements in person. The workshops take place in London near King’s Cross and the work experience placements are currently in Chelsea and Windsor. There will be occasions where evenings or weekends are required but these are not often. You may also need to be available in London for ad-hoc meetings that require in person attendance. You must have the pre-existing right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role.
Current required in-person dates: As the Progress Facilitator, it is a requirement of your role to be present at programme related in-person sessions. The following are dates you will be expected to be on-site (this is not an exhaustive list):
