Stand-by-me Bereavement Support (SBM) is an award-winning charity based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. We support children and young people who have suffered bereavement through therapeutic group work, support for parents and carers and ‘Contact-me’, our school framework for supporting bereaved pupils.
Role Overview
The Bereavement Support Manager oversees the Contact-me programme. They introduce, train and help implement the programme within the school setting, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support services for pupils affected by bereavement.
They partner with the Clinical Services Manager to deliver SBM’s therapeutic groupwork programme, supporting assessments and leading the Parents/Carer sessions that run alongside.
Key Responsibilities
Contact-me

Oversee the Contact-me programme, ensuring it meets the needs of bereaved children, their families, school and healthcare professionals.

Introduce, train and help implement the programme within the school setting, providing ongoing guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality support services.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to enable a holistic, ‘team around the family’ approach to bereavement support services.

Groupwork

Requirements & Qualifications

Relevant qualification(s) in counselling, social work or a related field

About the role
The Research and Evaluation Manager will work to position King’s College London as a sector leader on conducting institutional evaluation and research to understand how we can support students from underrepresented groups to access university and succeed at university. Our team aims to generate causal evidence, either through Randomised Controlled Trials or Quasi-experimental designs.

· Ability to consider and select appropriate research designs and methodologies, using qualitative and quantitative methods including surveying, interviewing and running focus groups.
· Experience establishing causal inference in research when evaluating projects or interventions with experimental methods (e.g. quasi-experimental methods, randomised controlled trials).
· Experience in designing and running multiple social research and evaluation projects, managing competing demands and timescales and delivering to milestones.
· Confident in conducting data analysis including handling large data sets and statistical testing using relevant software (such as Power BI, R, Stata, or SPSS) and presenting findings in various formats.
· Confident and clear written and verbal communication, including report-writing, data visualisation and presentation skills.
· Ability to give a team clear direction and guide it to the successful completion of a task.
· Ability to identify and manage the objectives, performance, and development needs of others.
Desirable criteria
· Postgraduate degree or qualification in research methods, statistics, analytics or a related field and/or relevant experience.

About the Role
The Outreach and Insight team plays a key role in identifying emerging issues and trends in what matters most to students. We transform a wide range of data and information about our casework and the sector into insights and learning. We also play a central role in using this learning to develop and deliver specific and targeted outreach to providers, student representative bodies (SRBs) and students.
The Insight Analyst is responsible for conducting data and information gathering and analysis on a wide variety of topics related to this work. You will be tasked with the creation and updating of Power BI reporting, dashboards and other data visualisation for internal use.
This important role involves collecting and analysing information from inside and outside the organisation with the purpose of generating insight to ensure that the overall outreach, engagement and communication strategies are evidence-based.
Once the need for analysis of particular information is established, the Insight Analyst works to deliver this in an appropriate and comprehensible format. This role has responsibility for ensuring a very high level of accuracy and clarity, ensuring that colleagues can rely upon what is presented.
About You
You will have:
- Experience of conducting analysis of qualitative and quantitative data in an employment setting or in education
- Experience in drawing and presenting conclusions from multiple data sources, and from partial or unreliable data

upReach’s Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP) combines delivery work (supporting our Associates) with exposure to a range of aspects of charity management.
As a Programme Coordinator on the FCLP, you will deliver personalised, employment-focused support to a cohort of approximately 80 Associates, helping to transform their lives by equipping them with the necessary skills to secure a top graduate job. The FCLP is a fast-paced but rewarding role. Programme Coordinators spend 80% of their time (4 days per week) working directly with Associates to enhance their career knowledge and skills and 20% (1 day per week) on a charity management rotation (or an apprenticeship after 18 months). This is a pivotal role, responsible for setting the strategic direction of the College’s fundraising activity, and for building deep, last relationships with alumni, supporters and friends of the College. Working in close collaboration with Fellows and colleagues across St Hugh’s, they will shape and deliver an ambitious new fundraising campaign to be launched ahead of the College’s 150th anniversary.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on fundraising. The Development Director will cultivate and secure principal gifts and steward key donors. They will lead the Development Office, developing and motivating a small, highly capable team of five. Reporting to the Principal, the postholder will be put forward to the College’s Governing Body for election as a Fellow by Resolution, reflecting the importance of close relationships between the Development Director and the Fellowship as a whole.
We are looking for an outstanding collegial individual, with a successful track-record of setting and delivering ambitious fundraising targets and personally securing principal gifts. Experience of leading or contributing to a major capital campaign would be an advantage. What you’ll do
Joining our small, high-energy team, you’ll play a key role growing our newest partner base and supporting primary school partners to make the most of the Unifrog platform and resources. Your key responsibilities:
Sell Unifrog subscriptions to primary schools

Design and deliver impactful prospecting campaigns and marketing collateral aimed at engaging potential new partners, tracking campaign performance and continually improving your approach to secure demonstrations and drive partnership growth.

Meet with potential partners on video calls (and sometimes in-person). Understand their priorities, demonstrate the Unifrog platform and resources, and secure their subscription.

Identify and attend conferences and events to promote Unifrog to primary school audiences, while networking and cultivating relationships for future partnership opportunities.

As Charity Officer, you will directly support our venues based at Redlibbets Golf Club, Cobtree Manor Golf Club, and Warley Park Golf Club.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Delivery:

Our Aims
The Urban Partnership Group (UPG) is a community and regeneration organization situated in West London offering a wide range of activities at its bases at the Masbro Centre, Edward Woods Community Centre, Masbro Brook Green, and Flora Gardens Family Centre projects managed include those for older people, youth, children center services, volunteering and community champions. Through these projects UPG hopes to enhance the health, wealth and well-being of the centers’ users.
Role
To be responsible for the day-to-day provision of an efficient, welcoming and professional reception and administrative/business support service to the Masbro Community Centre.
The applicant will be the first person a visitor, client or customer meets or speaks to face to face or on the phone. The applicant will need to have a good rapport with people and make them feel welcome and at ease. UPG deliver a range different activities a week with a footfall of over 500 people a week.

Duties and Responsibilities

As the receptionist and administrator, ensuring all users and visitors are dealt with promptly, professionally and courteously.
- Provide a warm, supportive and nurturing front-of-house presence, building positive relationships with service users, tenants, volunteers and partners.
- Develop and maintain effective clerical and administrative systems in line with UPG policies and procedures, reviewing and improving systems where necessary.

About the role
At The Brilliant Club, we mobilise the PhD community to support students from less advantaged backgrounds to access the most competitive universities and succeed when they get there. We work with students who, because of their family income, parental history or the postcode they live in, are at risk of missing out on the life-changing opportunities linked to higher education.
We are delighted to be hiring a Senior Research and Evaluation Officer to join The Brilliant Club. This pivotal role will support the charity’s research and evaluation consultancy work through Brilliant Consulting. Through our consultancy work, we have partnered with a range of universities and education organisations, such as the Centre for Transforming Access and Student Outcomes in Higher Education (TASO) and The Sutton Trust. The Senior Research and Evaluation Officer will contribute to improving the evidence base for what works to drive fairer education outcomes and social mobility. They will do this by supporting mission-aligned organisations to conduct robust evaluations of outreach and education programmes.
The Senior Research and Evaluation Officer will join a small consultancy team and will be managed by the charity’s Director of Research and Impact. The team is also supported by several colleagues from across the organisation who work on specific projects based on their areas of expertise. The consultancy team is part of the charity’s wider research and impact team, who collectively have two areas of responsibility: evaluating and reporting the impact of the charity’s programmes and providing research and evaluation consultancy and strategy support to education organisations.
The successful candidate will have strong research skills, including in quantitative research, and will be able to communicate technical information and findings to university access and success practitioners and educators. They will also demonstrate professional skills in relation to stakeholder management and project management and will champion the charity’s values and embody them in interactions with colleagues and partners. While this role can be based at any of our offices throughout the UK, some travel will be required (mainly to London) to attend in-person meetings.

- Has a degree in a subject involving applied research (e.g., economics, education, policy, psychology, sociology, statistics).
- Has quantitative research skills, ideally with experience of constructing comparison groups and running statistical models to understand impact.
