About the Role
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) and Lebanon 

To provide a high standard of executive and personal assistance to the CEO. The role will be varied and will suit somebody with experience in supporting senior executives, excellent multi-tasking and combining an eye for detail and the ability to see the ‘bigger picture’. The right candidate will be efficient, diplomatic and have interpersonal skills to deal with senior staff and trustees. 

About You

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Complex diary management for the CEO, liaising with multiple stakeholders for timeslots and rescheduling appointments.

• Handle internal and external enquiries in a professional, confidential manner; dealing with these to conclusion where possible, or referring them to the appropriate person.

• Monitoring CEO inbox to flag urgent emails and highlight unanswered emails.

• Take accurate minutes of regular and ad hoc meetings as requested by the CEO, monitor progress on agreed actions and follow up with action holders directly as necessary.

• Manage and organise Monthly All Staff meetings, Weekly Update meetings and other meetings requested by the CEO, and ensure all audio/ visual set-up is working, and agendas are updated.

• Manage arrangements for incoming visitors (from MAP’s overseas offices and external), arranging meeting schedules, and assisting with travel and hotel bookings.

• Organise venues, flights, accommodation, visas, meals and taxis for SMT offsite workshops and Project based workshops for CEO, SMT members and the participating MAP staff.

• Manage expenses and credit card statement invoices of the CEO.

• Review expenses, leave requests and other items that need CEO approval, as requested by the CEO, and make recommendations to the CEO

• Ensure various email distribution lists / Teams groups are up to date and IT issues are resolved.

• Responsible for collating data from stakeholders and drafting the Weekly Newsletter.

• Ordering and managing stock of stationary for the UK office and workshops.

• Organising social events for the UK office (including yearly Christmas event) 

• Organizing catering for onsite meetings when requested

• Organise and maintain a logical online filing system on SharePoint as requested by the CEO

• To be available out of hours when the CEO is travelling. 

• Support with the administration of Board and Committee meetings, including booking meeting venues, collating reading materials and taking meeting minutes

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

· Review financial data and prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.

· Present financial reports with variance analysis and commentary for the board.

Anerley Station Road and Horn Lane are innovative young people semi- independent accommodation services. Anerley Station Road is based in one site in Bromley and Horn Lane is spread across two neighbouring sites in Eailing, both services support a broad range of service users including Looked After Children, Care Leavers, Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children, as well as other young people being referred in for multiple support needs.
The services work closely with statutory services to provide wrap around support for each customer within the service. Support is provided by a large and skilled workforce with specialist roles.
We are recruiting for an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist to join the team who will lead in facilitating therapeutic groups and individual counselling /therapy for customers across the two locations spending 4 hours a week at each service.

The post holder will support the staff team in developing their psychological understanding and raising awareness in the emotional impact of working with young people, whilst leading on creating and maintaining a therapeutically informed programme for the team to deliver Psychological Informed Environment in the service.

The Therapist will work with young people to improve engagement with support services as well as providing in depth sessions with young people with the desired outcome of the young person having a clearer insight into their own emotional wellbeing.

The post holder will have a creative approach to engaging young people including group and individual therapy and will tailor their interactions to each young person (this could involve using any approach which might be easier for the young person to engage with: self-expression, mindfulness, art, creative writing etc.).

Key information and documentation will be kept up to the required standard as expected between a therapist and a client and the post holder will adhere to all relevant legislation that governs these professional relationships.

The post holder will work flexibly across the service and will use technology were appropriate to ensure time is effectively used across the service provision.

Job Purpose

Our Business Development Manager is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on creating and improving relationships, expanding a product portfolio, and working across an organisation to drive impact. This role has a wide remit which covers our existing products as well as identifying new income streams.

You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a business development plan that maximises income streams, supports improvements in patient care, and strengthens our partnerships across the healthcare system. You’ll support tenders and contract negotiations, fostering relationships that secure funding for key BSR initiatives whilst offering tailored customer service and account management to our partners.

You’ll manage a business development administrator, who will focus on delivering contractual obligations in a timely manner. You’ll coach and develop them to build confidence in account management and sales. This role requires a creative, impact-oriented leader who excels in both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

Please note: This role may require travel, overnight stays and weekend work, for example at our conferences.

Main Responsibilties 

Business Development Strategy

• Alongside the COO, develop and execute a business development strategy for BSR that secures financially sustainable funding streams that support our drive to improve patient care
• Lead on market research, product development and product lifecycle management
• Support the Senior Management Team and Heads of Department to expand and improve our product portfolios to keep partners engaged in supporting our diverse membership

Relationship building and management

• Lead relationship management with sponsors, partners and collaborators to provide exceptional and consistent account management
• Liaise with and support internal teams with delivery to sponsors, partners and collaborators
• Enable internal sharing of insight and intelligence about trends and movements with industry partners
• Foster new strategic partnerships and relationships with UK and international organisations
• Open up new funding opportunities that support BSR’s strategic aims and activities

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead and develop the Business Development Executive
• Support teams across the business to meet ambitious financial targets
• With the COO and Director of Marketing, Education and Events, manage our compliance with the ABPI pharmaceutical industry code and provide regular advice/training for colleagues
• Alongside the COO, provide support to colleagues on tender and contract processes

Finances and Impact

• Oversee BSR income streams, working closely with the finance team to ensure efficient financial process and cash flow
• Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring financial trackers are up to date
• Analyse data to ensure the business development strategy is effective, ambitious and realistic 
• Provide regular reports to the Senior Management

World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to people who have experienced forced migration in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that they face when preparing for and ultimately finding work in the UK.   

We support all people who have experienced forced migration, regardless of their proximity to the labour market, to develop the skills and access the opportunities they need to secure sustainable and meaningful employment. We run STEP online and in person programmes across the UK.  Our work now includes specific programming for women refugees, Afghan nationals, Ukrainians and those who have come through the asylum system

We are now expanding our work to deliver (in partnership with the British Council) an English Language and Employment Support Programme for up to 4,000 Ukrainians and Hong Kong BNO status/visa holder (50% of each community) over the next 12 months.

In order to succeed, participants need more than just training and job search support. They need to feel connected, informed, and welcomed into the communities they live in.

We are now recruiting a Community Lead to play a key role in delivering that wider support. You will lead community engagement and outreach activities, help participants understand and access local services, and ensure that support is culturally appropriate and inclusive. You will also help build partnerships with local groups, promote volunteering, and run events that support social connection and reduce isolation. You will contribute to our social value commitments and play a crucial part in shaping how the STEP programme responds to local needs and participant feedback.

About you

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Proven experience in community engagement, outreach or partnership work
• Understanding of the issues and challenges faced by people who have experienced forced displacement accessing employment and of the challenges faced by people who are resettling in a new country and community
• Experience of delivering and supporting events, webinars or community activities
• Experience producing accessible, culturally sensitive written materials or communications
• Experience working with or within community organisations or VCSEs
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills. 
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Confident writing skills (newsletters, social content or short reports)
• Proficiency in Cantonese and/or Ukrainian would be desirable to support webinar delivery and community engagement
