About you:

• Experience of supporting clients to carry out tasks such as budgeting, calculating benefit entitlements and understanding rent arrears and housing options.
• Experience of working in a client-centred support service working with clients presenting significant levels of need and risk, with an ability to devise and deliver on action plans through high quality risk management and needs assessment.
• A demonstrable level of experience and understanding of the range of approaches appropriate to working with multi disadvantages such as substance misuse, mental and physical ill health, dual diagnosis, challenging behaviour, risk of homelessness, offending, antisocial behaviour, social isolation, domestic violence, gang-related issues, young parents, leaving care and learning disabilities.

About the role

Our residents in this service have experienced long-term street homelessness and have faced significant challenges including with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency, and struggled to sustain engagement with support services. That's why they're here, to make a change and gain the support they need to enable greater independence and recovery.

In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents, working to ensure the safety and wellbeing. You will build trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins. Your role will focus on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals. 

About you

We're looking for someone who has a true passion for what we do as an organisation, and particularly in supporting those who have faced homelessness and may have other complex needs. Our residents needs are at the forefront of service delivery, so someone who can build trusting professional relationships is key. You will be adaptable, proactive, and able to use your initiative to resolve challenges.. You will be able to work within a team, and have previous knowledge of the needs our residents may have. Each support plan is tailored to the individual, putting their needs first for the team to be able to deliver support to their needs. What are we looking for:

• Understanding of the needs of those who have faced homelessness and have various complex needs including mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency
• Ability to use IT systems to record case notes, email relevant people, and use other software required within the role

Livingstone House is a 24 hour staffed 92 bed mix gender hostel, which provides short term supported housing for single homeless vulnerable people with Low to Medium support needs. Look ahead provides the support function and Riverside provides the housing management and night concierge. The Service provides on average 5 hours of weekly support to customers who reside in the hostel with the aim to provide them with the tools to move on within the community and live independently. On occasions, we may need support within our scattered sites based in Brent.

The Shift pattern of this role consist: 8am -4pm and 1.30pm - 9pm. Over a 7 day rota with 2 days off with weekend working

Working Well is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health, learning disabilities, neurodiversity, and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are recruiting a full-time Employment Support Worker for our supported employment team in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. The contract is for 8 months. The post holder will carry a caseload of clients with lived experience of mental health, but may also include Autism or a learning disability.

The focus of the role is to support clients to achieve their employment goals and engage with employers in line with client preferences.

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our commitment to supporting people to find the right job for them. Experience working with individuals affected by learning disabilities and autism would be beneficial. The successful candidate must be comfortable in approaching employers, persuading them to use our service, and working with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.

You will work closely with referring teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  You will also be in working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.

About the role:

We are looking for Night Support Assistants to join our dedicated Youth Services team, supporting young people aged 16 and over in Lewisham and Greenwich. Working in a supported accommodation setting, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for at risk young people and young people leaving care, helping them navigate their personal challenges and work towards their goals. Our Young People need care 24/7 so we have fixed rotas, with staff needing to be able to commit to weekends and bank holidays.

We are recruiting employment support workers for a new primary care Individual Placement and Support (IPS) employment service in the London Borough of Enfield.

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental and physical health issues. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.
