We are looking for a Planning Manager to ensure the execution of CRUK's mass audience strategy through MFE plans, empowering teams to achieve our goals efficiently and effectively. This is a brand-new position and will be crucial for driving change across the business.
You will help drive a step-change to make MFE become a truly audience-centric directorate, especially in the way we translate strategy into plans. You will help design and embed a new approach to planning in MFE, centrally setting clear priorities and improving how agree and align resource to achieve our shared goals.

What will I be doing?
Support the design, build and implementation of an integrated and well-sequenced planning process to successfully drive forward delivery of the mass audience strategy, including putting a much greater focus on audience needs in the way we plan our work
Support the running of this planning process, working with stakeholders across MFE and key partners in other directorates to align priorities, activity and KPIs.
Support the design, build and implementation of MFE quarterly business performance reviews to drive alignment with the audience strategy and ensure prioritisation and investment decisions deliver on overall strategic goals
Contribute to the development of a '3-year plan' for MFE, translating the mass audience strategy into a high-level plan of priorities and activity
Act as a key interface for MFE with other directorates, ensuring support functions receive a joined-up view of needs, requirements and priorities across MFE, aligned to the mass audience strategy (including deputising for the MFE Planning & Change Lead on forums relating to CRUK-wide planning)
Support improvements to how CRUK-wide planning is done, including how we align people and budgets to achieve our shared goals, especially in areas of org-wide shared resource (e.g. Creative)
Support the design, build and implementation of a new fit-for-purpose governance structure for MFE, and support the MFE Planning & Change Lead in running this new governance
Champion process optimisation initiatives across MFE to deliver efficiencies and improve employee experience
Work with colleagues in Fundraising Finance to ensure financial and operational planning are integrated and aligned, and to collaborate at key points in the business cycle (e.g. target-setting, budgeting etc)
Contribute to writing impactful papers and presentations for a variety of stakeholder groups, including MFE SLT
What are we looking for?
Experience of operational planning and/ or project management, ideally including setting-up new planning processes
Strong project management and planning skills, including resource and risk management
Comfortable with working flexibly and in a rapidly changing working environment, including the ability to set and manage own workload and priorities

Shooting Star Children's Hospices provides specialist care and support to families who have a baby, child or young person with a life-limiting condition, or whose child dies suddenly or unexpectedly. Our team of arts therapists is expanding to ensure we can deliver care to those who need it.
We are looking for a Maintenance Team Member interested in being part of a vital team helping to support the day to day running of our properties for vulnerable families accessing our children’s hospice care, who has experience of working within maintenance environment. Ideally (but not essential) the successful candidate will possess some form of maintenance skill/qualification/experience (Painting & Decorating/Carpentry /Plumbing skills etc).
There is an out of hours “On Call” element to this position whereby the successful candidate will be required to go onto the “On Call” rota shared among other members of the maintenance team.
A full UK driving licence is essential as some work will take place at satellite sites.

You will be managing a multi-disciplinary team that is dynamic, creative and focused on building trust through relationships. Supporting the team to identify, engage and provide harm minimisation whilst promoting a sense of belonging. You will have substantial experience in delivering psychologically, gender and culturally informed service to people who are experiencing street homelessness. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager with a community-based charity on a permanent, full-time basis. As Finance Manager you will report into the Chief Finance Officer and line manager the Finance Assistant. This is a key role within the Finance team with a varied brief to deliver financial services across the organisation.
Please note, hybrid working is in place with this organisation with a minimum of 3 days per week needed in the office.
As Finance Manager, you will:
- Take ownership of and oversee the entire Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes – from processing invoices to payment run or credit control
- Prepare month-end and management accounts. Monitoring budget performance, identifying and investigating variances
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial plans
- Prepare and file VAT Returns
- Liaise with other teams/departments across the charity and provide financial support, assistance and training
The successful applicant will:
- Have significant demonstrable experience in finance within the charity sector, in a similar role
- Have exceptionally strong Excel skills with the ability to maintain and develop complex spreadsheets
- Be at least part qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA etc)
- Have significant bookkeeping and accounting experience, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, VAT returns, month-end/management accounts
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

We are seeking two motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Managers to join our IT Transformation Team at Look Ahead. In this role, you will assist in the planning, execution, and completion of various projects including Finance systems and case management systems. You will work closely with the Head of IT Programme and cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget. What you'll do:
Assist in the development of project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.

The Role
We are looking for a motivated and organised Project Manager to lead the AQS Access Pathway Project, funded by City Bridge Foundation. This newly created role will be responsible for redesigning and updating the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and developing a new progression-based Access Pathway for advice services.
This is a fixed-term role, with funding secured for a minimum of 36 months. You will work closely with our Deputy Director and a wide range of stakeholders to successfully deliver a new version of AQS and its accompanying framework.
Key Responsibilities

Design, manage, and deliver the AQS Access Pathway Project in collaboration with the ASA Deputy Director.

Convene and facilitate a Project Advisory Group comprising ASA members and key stakeholders.

Engage with external stakeholders including auditing and accrediting bodies such as AgeUK, Citizens Advice, Welsh Government, and the Money and Pensions Service.

Promote and communicate the project to advice services, funders, and wider voluntary sector audiences.

Developing young people’s oracy skills equips them with the tools needed to navigate education systems, pursue career ambitions and achieve their potential. Like reading, writing and maths, oracy is an essential, foundational building block that prepares young people to thrive in society.
Despite extensive evidence that high quality oracy education increases students’ confidence, wellbeing, engagement, progress and attainment, oracy is not an essential, everyday feature of every child’s school experience. Where you’ll work: All Voice 21 staff work remotely and this is a home-based role. Regular travel to our central London office (by Victoria station) is expected for meetings. Regular travel to visit our projects in schools and/or to meet funders will also be expected. Occasional overnight stays may be required too. Voice 21 pays travel and accommodation expenses. The package of salary and expenses will be considered when agreeing a starting salary with the successful candidate.
Contract: Permanent, subject to successful probation review after three months.

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Store Manager to join Barnardo's on a Full Time Permanent Basis.
As a Store Manager you will manage the day to day running of our Tonbridge Store, leading a team of colleagues to maximise store sales and profits. By doing so you will play a crucial role in raising the funds for the amazing services and support Barnardo's provides for children, young people, parents, and carers across the UK.
Location: Unit 10, Angel Walk Shopping Centre, Tonbridge, Kent, TN9 1TJ
Working Pattern: As the store is open 7 days a week, the successful post holder will be required to on a rota basis which will include weekend, evening, and bank holiday working.
Some but not all key responsibilities are:
- Ensuring stock is generated over the door by members of the public and donors sign up to the Gift Aid scheme.
- Ensure that the high standard of service to customers that is expected by Barnardo's is maintained at all times.
- Implement promotions in the Store as directed by Head Office or your Area Business Manager.
- Maintain a high standard of presentation, both in the windows and the interior of the Store.
- Ensure there is adequate stock available on the shop floor, at all times, on all key lines
- Provide training, development, work reviews and appraisals for paid staff to enable them to perform their jobs efficiently and effectively.
- Create an organised and pleasant working environment for staff and volunteers.
- Actively recruit the correct/specified number volunteers to deliver the stores objectives and KPI's.
- Ensure all financial, cash handling and security procedures are adhered to as per the Barnardo's Manager's Manual and the relevant Retail procedures.
- Hold the shop keys, ensuring that the shop is secure whenever it is left unattended.
Idea Candidates Must Haves:
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- Experience of managing people
- Ability to liaise and respond to a variety of people from varying backgrounds.
- Ability to meet the needs of customers on a face-to-face basis, in order to generate sales and increase customer usage of the shop.
- Ability to add, subtract, divide, and multiply up to four figures in order to maintain budgets and complete accurately weekly income/banking sheets.
- Ability to handle cash and reconcile accurately.
- Proven experience of meeting targets and KPI's.
- Basic IT skills.
