About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Dementia UK as Senior Mass Participation Manager. Leading a team of nine, you’ll be responsible for delivering a successful strategy and operational plan for virtual events and mass participation products, ensuring sustainable growth and impact.
Working within the Fundraising team, this role involves driving the development of engaging campaigns that increase supporter numbers and income, all while providing an excellent supporter experience. KEY OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Housing First Team Leader, the Housing First Support Worker is responsible for coordinating and providing a personalised, trauma informed support service to people with complex needs facing multiple exclusion in line with Housing First Principles. The Housing First Support Worker will be responsible for coordinating and providing a person centred, strength-based support service to create long term sustainable tenancies by empowering customers, increasing independence, and maximising connectivity with the local community.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

- Please note the working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Delivering wrap-around intensive, trauma informed support to people with multiple and complex issues within their own independent tenancies in the community.
2. Working with Housing First participants to help them articulate their goals and aspirations offering personalised support and promoting choice and wellbeing. Supporting Housing First participants to access community resources, to develop positive peer networks and meaningful leisure opportunities.
3. Maintaining accurate up to date records on the Inform case management system of progress against individual support plans, safety plans and outcomes information.
4. Regularly review the person-centred support plan to update, record and monitor progress of customer caseload.
5. Develop, maintain and co-ordinate effective working relationships with external partners and agencies, promoting effective communication with Housing First residents. Ensuring Connected Housing First is widely known and promoted in Mendip and Somerset.
6. Liaise with landlords to assist the person living in accommodation of their choice; including practical help with furniture; benefits advice and accompanied visits.
7. With the agreement of Housing First participants, to liaise with other agencies to facilitate support including substance misuse and recovery, offending and criminal justice, mental health, Adult social care, debt, domestic abuse, welfare and housing benefits, employment and training.
8. Promote, and actively encourage peer involvement within the service.
9. Complete dynamic risk assessments and maintain own safety by following lone working procedures.
10. Adhere to good practice safeguarding procedures with a positive risk-taking approach to ensure the wellbeing of vulnerable people.
11. To identify barriers of accommodation and managing tenancies, providing support including practical help with benefits, budgeting, furniture, neighbour relations, and liaising with landlords.
12. To contribute to regular reports on the service evaluation project as required.
13. To participate in reflective practice to support and enhance wellbeing in the workplace and personal development.
14. Record all petty cash and other expenditure of project monies in line with Connect Centre policy.

We are in search of a Support Coordinator to act as the cornerstone for our team across three supported living bungalows in the Kingswinford area of Dudley. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional, person-centred services aimed at enhancing the quality of life for our service users with learning disabilities, autism, and physical disabilities.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Project Manager – Apprentice to join the Estates team. Your role is to contribute to the successful delivery of a number of projects and small works, ensuring the scope and benefits are achieved as planned.

Role Requirements
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to precisely define project scope and objectives, eliciting technical requirements to formulate detailed specifications, cost assessments, and delivery schedules, while maintaining close coordination with stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals and key milestones.
- Contribute to the development and presentation of key project documents for stakeholder approval and governance.
- Assist the Project Manager in overseeing capital and operational projects and other minor works throughout the organisation, taking ownership of the successful delivery of assigned projects and tasks throughout the project lifecycle, raising any issues / risks and reporting on a regular basis.
- Work within agreed budget and available resource, reporting on forecast, spend and raising any variations to the Project Manager.
- Build and maintain good relationships with all project stakeholders using a variety of communication methods.
- Track and assess project performance and outcomes using relevant tools and methodologies to collate and analyse data to report on project performance.
- Identify and monitor project risks and issues; and plan and implement responses to them.
- Assist in planning and coordinating the resources – human, financial and material – required for effective project delivery, working with the Senior Engineer to advise on resources from in-house Maintenance Team for up-coming projects.
- Apply quality management systems and tools to ensure project outcomes meet all legislative, regulatory and local standards.
- Participate in post project evaluation to document lessons learned, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist the Project Manager with collation of all Estates compliance certificates and service report onto the compliance register.
- Provide input, as required, to monthly compliance reports.
- Provide updates on required remedial works, as necessary.

Supporting the Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer, the Governance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that effective governance arrangements are in place across the organisation providing key support to the Institution in achieving its strategic and operational goals, and will drive innovation and a culture of continuous improvement in governance processes and procedures.
The Governance Manager will ensure effective management of the Board of Trustees, Congress and Committees of the Board, and will ensure that the Institution complies with its governing documents, relevant legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance with all matters of charity and corporate governance.
Requirements
Organisational governance & compliance
- Provide advice and guidance to the Chief Executive, Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees on all governance related matters, including the interpretation of IChemE’s governing documents to ensure excellent governance across the organisation.
- Continuously monitor developments in charity good governance practice, identifying areas for improvement in IChemE’s key governance processes and procedures.
- Effectively manage and communicate any changes in legislation or requirements of the charity commission and other relevant bodies.
- Ensure fulfilment of the governance requirements for all legal entities within IChemE including filings, returns, resolutions and maintenance of records and registers.
- Work with the Head of Finance & Compliance, and others, to ensure controls are embedded and compliance to IChemE’s governing documents is monitored escalating any non-compliance or risks as appropriate.
- Manage IChemE’s internal Corporate Information SharePoint site, ensuring version control of all documents and that information is readily available to internal users.
Governing documents
- Ensure that IChemE’s governing documents (including Royal Charter, By-Laws, Regulations and organisational policies) are kept under continual review, in particular to ensure compliance with, and reflect any changes required by, charity regulators.
- Manage the approval, communication and any necessary ballot for changes to the governing documents for all legal entities within IChemE.
- Regularly review IChemE’s committee structure and Scheme of Delegation to ensure they remain appropriate to meet the needs of the organisation.
- Ensure all committees and sub-committees / panels are properly constituted with clear Terms of Reference in place which are regularly reviewed an updated.
Board of Trustees, Congress and Committees
- Schedule all meetings of the Board of Trustees and committees to fall at strategic times during the year to enable in-depth consideration of agreed agenda items and efficient flow of information and decisions.
- Manage the preparation of high-quality Board and committee papers to facilitate effective discussion and decision making.
- Manage the effective running of Congress, IChemE’s member advisory body to the Board of Trustees.
- Provide follow-up to the Board, committee and Congress meetings through dialogue with senior colleagues and by moving forward outstanding action points.
- Lead on the succession planning and recruitment for the Board of Trustees, and Congress, managing the election process and any necessary ballot of members.
- Work with the Volunteer Engagement Manager, and others, to manage the effective succession planning for all committees.
- Manage the Board of Trustee and Congress induction programme and any ongoing training and development.
- Provide ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of the Board of Trustees and Congress.
Legal support
- Develop and maintain IChemE’s contract management procedures.
- Review contracts and advise colleagues on contractual terms.
- Liaise with IChemE’s external legal advisors for support as and when required with the review of or preparation of contracts and agreements.
Other information
This is a permanent full-time role based on 37.5 hours per week working Monday through to Friday, but a degree of flexibility will be required to meet business needs. The position is based in the Rugby UK office (CV21 3HQ).
