Our Helpline and expert advisers offer free, practical support to older people without enough money to live on. Through our grants programme, we support hundreds of local organisations working with older people across the UK.
We use the knowledge and insight gained from our support services and partnerships to highlight the issues experienced by older people in poverty and campaign for change.

Responsibilities and Person Specification:
This role supports Independent Age’s media/ PR and social media programme, with a 50/50 split between these areas, and will help deliver our ambition to tackle poverty in later life, build the organisation’s reputation, and raise our profile across multimedia channels.
Working closely with the Media Communications Manager and Senior Digital Content Officer, the post-holder will work on communication projects across all areas of the charity to raise awareness and understanding of Independent Age, grow our influence and drive potential supporters to our activities (including our information and advice, fundraising, volunteering and campaigning).
You should have experience of media liaison and securing press coverage, as well as familiarity with all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter/X, BlueSky, Instagram and LinkedIn), and ideally a foundational knowledge of the associated reporting and analytics for them.

At LaunchPad, our 14-bed assessment hub in Newham, you’ll support people coming directly off the street who are navigating multiple disadvantage, including mental health, substance use and physical health needs. Job summary
It’s an exciting time to join Whizz Kidz as we embark on an ambitious organisational strategy for the next three years. Major Gifts fundraising is relatively new to the charity and has seen great success in the last year, bringing on many new major donors and a growing prospect pipeline. An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Medair UK team as we are seeking a part-time Operations Support Officer to provide crucial support in a varied role. About the Social Change Nest
At the Social Change Nest (SCN), we’re radically transforming the funding landscape and strengthening civil society. We remove the financial and administrative barriers – like bank accounts and legal structures – that often prevent communities, grassroots groups and informal movements from accessing funding and focusing on their core mission. We are looking for an Operations Manager who is prayerful, strategic and passionate about practically supporting the mission of the local church. The Operations Manager plays a key role as a senior member of the Inspire St James team. The purpose of this role is to enable the Church to fulfil its vision for mission, ministry and worship through strategic oversight and management of all aspects of the Church’s operations e.g. staff, finance, premises, and governance.
Inspire Saint James Clerkenwell is a Church of England church with two services (11am and 4pm) and a congregation of around 230 adults and 100 children. The congregation is vibrant and diverse and passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus.
The Operations Manager has overall responsibility for the Operations Team and will work closely with all members of the team. They will also be part of the wider staff team in which we pray for one another and support one another to achieve our purpose and lead our ministries.
Key responsibilities involve leading the operations team, overseeing large scale events and building projects, overseeing HR and handling the week-to-week finances.
Location: The role will be primarily office-based, with a focus on being present to manage and support others.
Hours: The post is full time 40 hours per week, excluding lunch breaks. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
