The integrated team provide support to people with mental health problems within a primary care and community mental health setting, helping people develop their independence, self-management skills and achieve their recovery goals.

We are looking for a full time Mental Health Advisor to work alongside SLaM colleagues to deliver this service.

As part of an effective Information Advice and Guidance team you will have the caseload management experience and skills to deliver focused, person-centred, individual support and IAG (Information and Guidance) on a wide range of social issues including housing, employment and socialising, liaising appropriately with specialists and professionals.

Ideally, this will include providing representation at appeals and giving advice on complex entitlement issues. A strong understanding of the needs of people with mental health problems is also essential to this role.

We are looking for a motivated major gifts fundraiser to join our small fundraising team to support our ambitious goal to raise £20 million in support of the Be the Spark campaign.

The team delivers one to one support in the form of weekly keywork sessions working within a psychologically informed framework to create support plans with residents and build on skills and competencies. About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on senior infrastructure and security manager to lead and manage Breast Cancer Now’s IT infrastructure and security operations.
This is a delivery focused role where you’ll take responsibility for building, configuring and maintaining infrastructure while also implementing and managing security governance controls. You’ll ensure our systems are resilient, secure and aligned with frameworks such as Cyber Essentials Plus and NCSC guidance.

Brief role description

The organisation is located in White City, with the nurseries based across London. Ark offers flexible working hours, including core hours and some remote working. The role will require someone who will prioritise in-person working, meaning being able to work from the office and their nursery sites at least 3-4 days per week.

Reporting into the Operations Director, some of the key responsibilities of this exciting permanent role include:

• Leading the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding for all nursery-based roles
• Developing and implementing effective talent attraction strategies
• Building partnerships with external organisations to support candidate pipelines
• Supporting managers to develop induction plans for new starters and manage probation periods effectively
• Providing first-line support on recruitment queries
• Ensuring HR and recruitment systems are appropriately set up, accurate, and up to date to support effective decision-making
• · Using data and feedback to drive continuous improvement around recruitment and onboarding.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ experience working in a senior recruitment capacity. This could suit someone with experience of working within a small charity or , a standalone Recruitment Manager looking for a new challenge and a wider remit. You will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills along with the ability to influence.

Job Title: Support Coach

Location: Havering, Close to Harold Wood Elizabeth Line station. Please note that this service does not have step free access. 

Salary: £27,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday on a rota varying between 08:00 - 21:30 which includes 12.5 hour shifts with 1 hour unpaid break, approximately 3 shifts per week. You may need to be flexible on these hours as per service requirements.

About the Role

We're have an exciting opportunity for a Support Coach to join our new Independent Approved Premises (IAP) covering the day shift on a rolling rota. You will play a key role in supporting our residents who have left prison and are based within a residential setting to reintegrate into the community. You will develop and engage with our residents to produce tailored support plans which support their individual needs in successful rehabilitation and reintegration within the community. You will identify their needs, goals and skills, and then support and motivate them to achieve their potential. You will support them in engaging with activities, the community, and provide useful tools and resources for better life skills management. The service holds a strong focus on public protection and effective risk management.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times
• Engaging with residents, ensuring they are adhering to their license conditions. This may include planning activities to engage them with other people, communities, and opportunities
• Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for night colleagues for a seamless service
• Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins
• Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals

About You

We're looking for someone who has a true passion to help make a difference and contribute to providing safer communities for all. You will be able to work in a fast paced environment, be proactive, and have resilience to challenges. You will thrive working within the team as well as independently, and be comfortable with working with people who have different offending histories. We're looking for someone who can build trust and rapport with others, and has a positive outlook, which can be used to support others. We also look for:

• Ability to manage own caseload and determine priorities with time management. Able to use own initiative
• Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours or a good understanding of the sector.
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience
• Understanding and/or practical application of key legislation regarding social care, housing, criminal justice and mental health
• Cultural awareness, Self-awareness, and ability to identify personal growth areas and take feedback
• Alignment with our values of Ambition, Empowerment, Inclusivity, and Transparency
