About the Role
Smart Works Scotland is undergoing an organisational restructure to ensure our continued sustainability and impact. As part of this process, we are recruiting for key roles that will help shape our future direction and strengthen our delivery.
Smart Works Scotland is looking for someone who is passionate about supporting and empowering women to lead our service. The Head of Centre will have overall responsibility for the running of the Edinburgh Centre whilst also working with the Board and Smart Works Charity to realise future growth and development of the service throughout Scotland. This will involve ensuring we deliver high-quality services to our clients and maintain strong relationships with our volunteers, referral and corporate partners.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, have excellent organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability to liaise confidently and successfully with a broad range of stakeholders. This role would have line management responsibilities for the Service Delivery & Outreach Manager.
The role would be based in the Edinburgh centre, and there will be occasional evening and weekend work as the role holder will provide key events support.

As a Public Fundraising Assistant, you’ll help deliver engaging face-to-face and telephone fundraising campaigns to grow Dogs Trust’s supporter base. Working in our Public Fundraising team, you’ll play a key role in helping us care for thousands of dogs across the UK.
What does this role do?
As a Public Fundraising Assistant, you will:
- respond to public enquiries, complaints, and donation updates related to face-to-face fundraising, ensuring all communications reflect the Dogs Trust brand, tone, and procedures.
- liaise with fundraising agencies to monitor campaign performance, resolve incidents or complaints, and ensure all campaign requirements are met.
- support quality assurance by reviewing mystery shop reports, visiting fundraising sites or agencies, and providing feedback to improve performance.
- assist with administrative and campaign support tasks, including managing fundraising materials, handling database queries, and helping with copy and proofing when required.
This role is being offered as a fixed term, family leave cover contract until December 2026.

The Data, Impact and Evaluation Officer will hold and develop our monitoring and evaluation functions, ensuring they reflect the relational nature of our work. Understanding our data, demonstrating our impact, and telling our story in a compelling way are central to our organisation’s strategy going forward. Whether that’s about generating the income to do our work, making sure more people can access our services, or reporting to funders on the social impact of their investment, this role plays a vital part in ensuring our story is well evidenced, well told and widely understood.

Review Likewise’s current data systems and processes and build an understanding of our current strengths, challenges and opportunities for improvement.

Role Summary
The Programme officer role is a key component of a CEC wide initiative to ensure that national objectives and strategies are aligned across the business and implemented effectively and consistently across our Career Hubs infrastructure.
A key priority for this role will be supporting CEC’s and the government’s ambition for a new work experience guarantee to ensure that all pupils participate in 2 weeks’ worth of work experience by the time they leave year 11. This role will play a key part in supporting the implementation of the programmatic strategy for Work Experience as well as other strands of work. It will support in helping to translate national initiatives and policy aligned with our strategic priorities into operational programmes delivered through our Network of Career Hubs. Priorities and programmes may change and flex over time but work experience will remain a priority theme.
To be successful in this role you will need to be a natural collaborator, a strong communicator and have strong organizational skills, and some function knowledge of our priorities.
The role will also contribute towards the wider success of the Network and Employers team supporting colleagues and areas outside of the designated area as required.
Within this role we would also offer a development opportunity for post holders not currently qualified in project management. Such employees would be offered the Associate project manager (level 4) apprenticeship, which is an 18-month development programme. The Heaney Hub Cluster is an intensive supported housing scheme for the most challenging customers in the Kensington & Chelsea. The majority of the customers come with a history of entrenched rough sleeping; often coupled with enduring mental health difficulties. The aim is to offer a home to those who would have difficulty finding accommodation because of their lifestyle choices involving extreme drug and alcohol misuse. The high-support hostel caters for eleven service users with complex needs and is staffed 24-hours a day with the minimum of three staff on duty. The medium support services are staffed from 9am to 9pm where the customers present with varying degrees of mental health issues. The Assessment Centre is staffed 24/7.
The hostels are in close proximity to each other, and staff will be expected to work across the units. Three of the hostels supports both male and female customers and one is males only.
Heaney Hub implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. This is an approach to supporting people out of homelessness, particularly those who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with a personality disorder. It also considers the psychological needs of staff: developing skills and knowledge, increasing motivation, job satisfaction and resilience.
Support Workers will devise person centred support plans with customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet their needs and goals. This will include sign-posting them to the local drug and alcohol services to address substance misuse issues. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.
The team comprises of Therapist, Move on coordinator, Housing Officer, 16 support workers, 2 Team Leaders, One Project Manager.
The role requires one to work on a shift pattern:7.45am to 3.45pm and 2.00pm to 10pm.

About the Role
We're have an exciting opportunity for a Support Coach to join our new Independent Approved Premises (IAP) covering the day shift on a rolling rota. You will play a key role in supporting our residents who have left prison and are based within a residential setting to reintegrate into the community. You will develop and engage with our residents to produce tailored support plans which support their individual needs in successful rehabilitation and reintegration within the community. You will identify their needs, goals and skills, and then support and motivate them to achieve their potential. You will support them in engaging with activities, the community, and provide useful tools and resources for better life skills management. The service holds a strong focus on public protection and effective risk management.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times
- Engaging with residents, ensuring they are adhering to their license conditions. This may include planning activities to engage them with other people, communities, and opportunities
- Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for night colleagues for a seamless service
- Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins
- Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals
About You
We're looking for someone who has a true passion to help make a difference and contribute to providing safer communities for all. You will be able to work in a fast paced environment, be proactive, and have resilience to challenges. We're looking for someone who can build trust and rapport with others, and has a positive outlook, which can be used to support others. We also look for:

Richmond Carers Centre has the mission to help unpaid adult carers to live a full, active and meaningful life by providing them with advice, information, activities, breaks and emotional support either face to face, by phone or by email to enable them to live well.
As a Support Worker, you will be part of a small, dedicated team and take a lead on providing emotional support to adult carers and a commitment to enhancing their health and wellbeing. Much of your work will involve actively listening to carers, often via the phone support line, providing information, advice and support.
As part of the Adult Carers Support Team, you will also be involved in organising breaks for carers, outreach activities and leisure events, as well as group work to help enhance carers’ health and wellbeing. Part of the role will also aim to improve the identification, recognition and understanding of the needs of adult carers, raise the profile of adult carers and ensure adult carers needs are met. You will also be expected to work with our volunteers and to use appropriate monitoring and evaluation reports to show our funders what we have achieved.
You will be someone:

- To encourage and assist carers and those they care for to access Care Needs Assessments and Carers Assessments and to take up services that will enhance their lives
- To complete individual grant applications with carers for respite or if they are experiencing financial hardship due to the cost-of-living crisis
- To work where appropriate with other service providers/agencies to promote the carer agenda or jointly deliver carer support issues
- To be proactive in the registration of carers living or caring for someone within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames
- To keep accurate records of group and individual carer engagement for monitoring and evaluation purposes
- To participate in key events organised by Richmond Carers Centre and other relevant partners to promote services to a wider public
