As a key member of the fundraising team, you will be instrumental in expanding our reach within communities, inspiring individuals, groups, and local businesses to get involved and raise vital funds.

The role

As our Community and Volunteering Fundraiser based in Wales, you’ll take the lead on growing our community fundraising income within Wales. Through proactive outreach, you will build relationships with supporters, volunteers, and local organisations empowering them to fundraise on our behalf.

You’ll deliver a mix of supporter recruitment, stewardship and event coordination. From championing local partnerships and speaking at community events, to helping individuals turn their ideas into successful fundraisers, you will be the local contact for Family Fund in your region.

Working closely with our fundraising and marketing teams, you’ll adapt and promote campaigns that resonate locally, driving participation and long-term engagement. A natural relationship builder, you’ll also support and grow our network of volunteers to maximise regional impact.

About you  

You’ll be passionate about making a difference, with experience in community fundraising, volunteer coordination, or a similar engagement-focused role. You’ll bring strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire supporters from all walks of life. 

Organised and results-driven, you’ll manage multiple projects effectively, balancing supporter care with meeting fundraising targets. Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team, you’ll be confident representing Family Fund in your community and beyond.

NDAS provides support to all victims who have been the subject of domestic abuse/violence, supports them through the criminal justice system and offers relevant advice and assistance, both practical and emotional. 

NDAS empowers victims to make decisions, increase their options, their confidence and safety.  Prevention and awareness raising activities are also delivered across Northumberland and counselling to the children of our service users.

Purpose of the job

 You will be an important member of the Senior Management Team, supporting the CEO to drive income growth. To be successful in this role you will be a strategic thinker who is highly organised, adaptable and flexible, able to inspire campaigns, appeals and experiences to drive income growth across a range of platforms and linking in potential support to the work of NDAS. 

You will form strong working relationships with stakeholders and funders.  You will have strong experience of working with partner agencies, negotiating costs, managing contracts and driving performance to achieve targets.

As Fundraising Manager, you will work closely with the CEO and SMT.  Also attending the Finance Sub-Group meetings that report into the Board.

 Key Accountabilities

1. You will work with the CEO to maintain and implement the Fundraising Strategy.

2. You will develop strategic relationships with funders and stakeholders.

3. You are accountable for the management, performance and reporting on all income strands.

4. You will work with the CEO to produce a bi-monthly Funding Overview report and projected Income Generation Plans for consideration by the Finance Sub-Group and to be reported to the Board

Responsibilities:

 1. Planning, implementing and driving forwards the Fundraising Strategy with a focus on expanding the range and size of income sources.

2. Identify new funding streams from Trusts, Statutory agencies and corporates, and submit funding bids.

3. Manage Individual Giving and Legacies

4. With the CEO produce and maintain an Income Generation Plan with a timeline setting deadlines for the submission of funding applications

5. Work with the CEO and Finance Manager to manage the allocation of costs across the budget and to ensure delivery in line with funding requirements.

6. Work with the SMT to manage and monitor all outcomes associated with each funding stream.

7. Produce funding applications with informative narrative content and robust data

8.   Maintain a monitoring schedule and produce reports in line with funder/stakeholder requirements also with informative narrative content and robust data

9.   Maintain regular communication with funders and potential funders to build strong working relationships and increase funding opportunities

10. Support the CEO in developing strategic and operational plans for the organisation

11. Monitor and collate other outcomes and achievements of the organisation.

12. Attend the SMT and Team Meetings (as needed).

Finance & Operations Manager

As part of this work, our Finance & Operations Team engages with a wide range of people to support the Trust’s vision for Gloucestershire, and our Finance & Operations Manager is integral to this.

We are looking for a Finance & Operations Manager to provide effective financial management, accurate financial reporting and oversee the facilities management of the Trust’s offices. The Finance & Operations Manager will manage a team of 2 and be part of the Trust’s People Manager Team.

Summary of key duties:

Financial Management and Reporting

• Develop, implement and operate monitoring systems for financial forecasting and re-forecasting to support sound decision making.
• Lead on and co-ordinate the annual budgeting and planning process ensuring that information is collected, compiled and reported in a timely manner to the Leadership Team for review and recommendation to the Finance & Audit Committee.
• Produce quarterly and annual internal finance report and management accounts for reporting to the Leadership Team and Finance & Audit Committee, which summarise budget trends, analyse and report variance.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, through liaisons with the Trust’s external auditors for preparing of the SORP financial statements.

Policy and Procedures

• Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of effective procurement policies, procedures and systems ensuring best value is achieved across all activities.
• Lead on the annual insurance renewal process, ensuring appropriate cover is in place and general administration of the Trust’s insurance policies is enacted.

Payroll

• Maintain payroll processing system and run the monthly payroll.

Facilities Management

• Support the development of a 5 year planned preventative maintenance plan for the Trust’s premises, to support budget and resource planning.
• Oversee the management of the Trust’s premises ensuring contracts are in place and appropriately managed to ensure the smooth running and maintenance of the building and that all health and safety requirements are met.

Line management responsibilities

• Provide line management to the Finance Co-ordinator and Workplace & Facilities Manager, enacting the Trust’s management processes to ensure that all employees are motivated, supported and enabled to give of their best.
• Contribute to Trust-wide people management policies, procedures and team culture as a member of the People Manger Team.

Essential Knowledge and Experience 

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or experience to this level (E).
• Practical knowledge and understanding of management accounting principles and techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting and preparation of financial reports for senior management and compliance purposes.
• Line management experience to foster a productive and supportive team environment.

Summary of skills

• Strong numerical and analytical skills to effectively analyse financial reports.
• Proactive problem-solver, demonstrating high levels of initiative, organisation and flexibility.
• Ability to work meticulously and methodically, demonstrating attention to detail.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, whose mission is to see a time when no deaf person feels alone, is seeking a Prospect Team Manager to identify, qualify and deliver high-quality prospect insight to support transformational giving across their philanthropy and high value programmes.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now looking to build a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to diversify income, grow their philanthropy programme and increase engagement and impact.

Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, this is a strategic and hands-on leadership role that will shape how the charity uses data, research and insight to drive significant growth in income from major donors, corporate partners and other high-value supporters. You will lead the Prospect Research function, developing and delivering a proactive, insight-led prospect research strategy to support the charity’s ambitious fundraising goals, as well as working to identify potential major donors amongst individuals, trusts and corporates.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in prospect research including identifying and prioritising prospects, network mapping, ethical screening and developing gift capacity ratings. You will be a proactive, strategic thinker with a collaborative outlook and a high attention to detail.  You will also possess excellent analytical and communication skills. Experience in setting up or significantly developing a prospect research function would be an advantage.

Your work will help shape public understanding of the Fund, build trust with stakeholders, and inspire communities to engage with our funding.

We are looking for a creative and strategic communicator with a passion for storytelling. You’ll be experienced in developing integrated campaigns and working across teams to deliver high-impact communications.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop deep insight into at least one portfolio and mission, to enable you to implement effective communications plans for your mission and portfolio, aligned to the corporate plan, and the Fund’s customer journey, including supporting Strategic Communications Leads to build and manage matrix teams
• Provide communications support to portfolio and mission leads, including creating messaging, narrative and content, social and brand assets, working closely with colleagues in the wider team to deliver effective and impactful communications activities
• Build relationships with journalists and lead on devolved media relations activities in your country, working closely with colleagues in the media team to deliver integrated activities, monitoring media and advising on opportunities and risks.
