The Royal Foundation is recruiting a Research and Impact Manager for the Homewards programme, which seeks to demonstrate that it is possible to end homelessness and inspire others to replicate effective practice.

Core Responsibilities:

• Scope, commission, and manage evaluation projects to generate actionable evidence for commissioning and service delivery, ensuring effective supplier, project management, and contractor relationships
• Monitor project progress to ensure timely, budget-compliant delivery of high-quality evaluations, meeting objectives and adhering to policies
• Collate evaluation and programme data for organization-level impact reports
• Analyse research data and conduct desk research to support the Homewards programme team in scoping future activities

Candidate:

You will be able to demonstrate:

• Minimum 5 years' experience managing research and evaluation projects
• Strong understanding of evaluation techniques, including expertise in commissioning various evaluation approaches, including process, quantitative impact, and theory-based evaluations
• Experience in developing procurement materials and briefing external suppliers, managing research commissions, and ensuring quality and compliance with financial and contractual requirements
• Proven ability to draft research materials, analyse data, and produce high-quality outputs (quantitative and qualitative)
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data from a range of sources
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, skilled in communicating research findings to both internal teams and external audiences, including non-researchers
• Able to work independently and prioritise own tasks and time, has an excellent eye for detail, and can work collaboratively and effectively with others

We are seeking an Exhibitions and Collections Projects Manager to join the Crafts Council on a permanent basis. This is a vital role in the Public Programmes team to oversee the maintenance and development of Crafts Council Collections and the delivery of key temporary exhibitions.

Reporting to the Senior Collections and Programme Manager, this role will ensure the Crafts Council Collections are documented and preserved to a high standard for future generations. They will also support the strategic development of the Crafts Council’s programme, managing relationships with external commercial partners, artists and institutions, overseeing project budgets and timelines and contributing to reporting and evaluation frameworks.

The Role:

The Activities Coordinator will help develop activities for members of the community accessing our Social Care and Open Access services. We would like to grow the range of social, creative and physical activity sessions delivered at the Centre, in our 3-acre park and in venues across the North East of the borough. 

This is a new post, which means you will have the opportunity to shape both the role and how we deliver this work for the community.
 
The key strands of the role are: 

Activity and timetable coordination: To coordinate and timetable the activities based on the needs of the community. This will involve supporting with the recruitment and onboarding of new coaches and facilitators.
 
Participant engagement and facilitation: To build relationships with people accessing activities, providing them opportunities to connect with one another, raise awareness of services and support available both at the Centre and locally and, provide a space for people to develop new ideas and co-produce activities.
 
Service development: The activities on offer will inevitably change over time to reflect the needs of the community. The role will work closely with the Centre’s delivery teams to ensure activities respond to the needs of, and feedback from, people accessing services. We will provide the opportunity for Open Access sessions (i.e. open to all) and more targeted sessions (i.e. for specific members of the community). The role

The special events coordinator will report to the special events manager.

We're seeking an experienced and enthusiastic special events coordinator to join the dynamic philanthropy team. You will play a pivotal role in planning, organising, and executing a diverse range of events, providing the best possible experience to some of the charity’s most committed donors through a mixture of bespoke events, engagement events, and as we steer towards starting to do income-generating events.

The special events coordinator will support the special events manager in creating and managing an exceptional events programme to underpin major donor fundraising, supporting portfolio managers to successfully engage prospects and donors. You will be a creative and innovative thinker, dynamic and experienced in organising events from concept to delivery. Principal responsibilities

Event planning and coordination

· Develop event concepts and themes, create detailed event plans, and coordinate all logistical aspects of events of events falling within the remit of this role.

Stewardship events

Supporting the new cancer campaign

· Prepare for campaign events in support of a £50m campaign for a ground-breaking cancer centre on the Royal Free Hospital site.

· Whether on-site at one of our hospitals or at an external venue, take responsibility for sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with vendors, including caterers, suppliers, and on-site partners.

Budget management

· Create and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards.  

Communications and promotion

· Collaborate with the communications team to develop promotional materials and strategies to maximise event attendance and engagement.  

RSVP management

· Managing the RSVP mailbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses to event invitations and queries.

Database management

· Maintain and update event-related databases, ensuring accurate records of participants, donors, and sponsors.  

Relationship management

· Act as the main point of contact for colleagues, donors, and contractors, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the event planning and delivery process.

Portfolio manager support

· Assist portfolio managers in engaging with prospects and donors effectively, providing event-related insights and facilitating meaningful connections.  

On-site coordination

· Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all elements are in place and events run smoothly.  

Post-event evaluation

· Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.  

Oversight and responsibility

· Manage risk assessment, risk management, and first aid training to ensure the safety and well-being of all event participants.

Our dynamic fundraising department generated £4.5m through donations in 2023/24, and we are now preparing for an ambitious multi-million-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital.

The Central Digital team team plays a key role within Shelter by producing impactful user experiences for our advocacy and fundraising campaigns, as well as our advice services. • Key point of contact for high level event participants and community fundraisers via face-to-face meetings, phone calls and emails – providing timely and personalised support

• Support the Events and Community Officer with enquiries, applications and registrations for challenge events, ensuring high levels of conversion, and capturing relevant supporter data 

• Support the Head of Community and Engagement, or other teams within Fight for Sight with the successful delivery of key special events, including fundraising gala dinners or receptions, virtual events and mini conferences, and third party or established supporter events.

• When required, support the Events and Community Officer in managing guest lists, enquiries, and ticket sales for special/major donor events and receptions, delivering a seamless guest experience and timely follow-ups supporter care and relationship management

Marketing 

• Oversee all paid Facebook advertising activity for events, updating web listings, and utilising our networks

• Work with the Marketing & Communications team to raise awareness/increase recruitment across all activities, highlighting case studies and media stories 

• Develop and deliver effective and engaging content, and materials for supporters to increase recruitment, retention, and average fundraising amounts

• Oversee the creation and delivery of quarterly events e-newsletter, plus additional e-blasts

Managing information and reporting

More about the role

Since June 1999, we've been a cornerstone of the Merton community, delivering veterinary services to approximately 6,000 unique pets every year. From routine procedures like neutering to intricate surgeries and advanced diagnostics, our hospital offers a comprehensive range of treatments.  
 

As an Animal Care Assistant (ACA), you have a key role in our fast-paced hospitals, providing a high standard of care to the pets in our hospitals and providing support to their owners. You’ll do this by providing the highest level of animal care and customer service with empathy and a non-judgmental mindset in all situations. 

Each day will see you providing care to the pets in our hospitals which includes cleaning, feeding, exercising, grooming, laundry and administering treatment. Another part of this role is where you will be based on our reception, working with customers face to face, answering the phone, using the computer, dispensing medication and taking payments. 

Our ACA's are responsible for managing the laboratory as part of their shifts so your duties will include processing and documenting all samples at the hospital. To do this, you will use our in house lab machines to run blood samples, staining and preparing microscope slides for inhouse analysis, perform urine testing, prepare samples for external analysis and maintain accurate records of sample handling and reporting.

This is full time role working 42 hours a week with a one hour paid lunch break on a rota to include weekends and public holidays. Due to the nature of the work of Blue Cross, and this post, it may be necessary to exceed these hours when the workload demands.

About you

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has previous experience in a veterinary support role which may have been in a vet practice, or kennel setting. As well as the practical animal handling skills, we would ideally like someone who has experience working in a busy reception alongside their animal care role who feels confident in both animal facing and customer facing environments, however this is not essential.

As mentioned in the 'More about the role' section, lab work is an important part of this position, therefore having an understanding of urinalysis and use of a centrifuge for example would be advantageous.

Working in an animal hospital can involve supporting clients that are distressed and you will be working in an emotionally challenging environment therefore you will need the ability to keep calm under pressure and re-prioritise tasks where needed.
