The Corporate Partnerships Manager will play a vital role in supporting New Horizon Youth Centre’s mission by managing and growing a portfolio of valued corporate partners (>£20k) and supporters (<£20k). They will nurture these relationships to ensure meaningful, long-term support for our work with young people facing homelessness.

This will include organising volunteering days that inspire action, delivering lunch and learn sessions that deepen understanding of our cause, and finding creative ways for partners to make a real difference. Our client, a small, values-led charitable organisation is seeking a temporary Finance Officer to provide day-to-day financial support and ensure the smooth running of its finance operations. This is a part-time role (0.6 FTE) and running for 4-months in the first instance, supporting a senior member of the organisation and playing a key part in maintaining accurate records and managing core processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Daily banking, payments, and transfers using Bankline.
• Responding to finance-related emails and ad-hoc requests.
• Running four-weekly payroll, including pensions and HMRC submissions.

About You

To be responsible for the implementation and day to day project management of the individual giving programme across both existing and new fundraising products, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, members, volunteers and internal teams across Mothers’ Union to ensure the success of the appeals. Key Responsibilities:

• To project manage multiple appeals delivering accurate campaigns on time, on budget to a high standard, meeting agreed targets.

• Lead contact for our face to face fundraising activity, from briefing, monitoring and reconciliation to delivering training and fulfilling requests, including coordination of visits to Mother's Union projects
• Lead on any challenge events or wider individual DIY fundraising or organisational  income generating events as assigned, meeting agreed targets set by the Head of Individual Giving.
• Monitoring, managing and reporting of key KPIs including campaign income, spend and other performance metrics on a regular basis. Reporting to the Head of Individual Giving, highlighting variances and updating fundraising team reports making sure information is accurate and reconciled where necessary.
• Designing and delivering targeted training programmes for groups of fundraisers or members on behalf of Mothers’ Union as well as providing effective one-to-one campaign support as required.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

About the Role:

As the Foundation starts supporting its third cohort of Scholars, we need an organised, communications focused and proactive individual to grow our capacity in two significant areas of our work: our regular in-person events, and our recruitment and assessment process.

You will take the lead on, and quality assure, all Martingale events including our Welcome Dinner for new Scholars at the Royal Society, autumn assessment centres, regular training days for Masters and PhD students, our week-long summer residential retreats for Scholars, as well as events for current and potential funders and other stakeholders. • Where necessary, work with the Team Administrator to ensure travel and accommodation is booked for staff, Scholars, and stakeholders
• Research and recommend high-profile speakers for Martingale events, acting as key contact for all speakers and trainers for events
• Conduct evaluation including post event debriefs and appropriate communication materials
• Lead on event wrap-up and embed learnings into future event planning

Recruitment and assessment

• Grow partnerships with relevant contacts to support our recruitment, including researching and connecting with appropriate organisations who are mission aligned or may have suitable alumni for Martingale Scholarships
• Disseminate materials on Martingale’s Scholarships to appropriate external stakeholders
• Help manage enquiries sent through to our social media platforms
• Work closely with the Programmes Team to book venues for Assessment Centres, and support with all logistics including schedules for assessors and candidates, ensuring a positive first impression of the Foundation for potential future Scholars

Communications 

• Deliver effective communication in line with organisational strategy
• Create high-quality content on Martingale events for dissemination through our social media channels, website and newsletter
• Manage Martingale’s collaboration with community engagement partners: Axiom Maths, In2Science, and The Brilliant Club

General

1.Key areas

• Conduct legal research into past cases and documents
• Draft and prepare claims or other legal documents
• Provide legal advice to SMT, NEC, members
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of PCS members
• Keep up to date with new developments in employment legislation
• Provide employment law briefings to PCS staff about changes in employment legislation
• Advise members and Reps on wrongful termination and unfair dismissal claims, including reviewing dismissal procedures and advocating for members' rights
• Assist members and reps in cases of workplace discrimination, harassment, or retaliation based on factors such as age, gender, race, disability, or other protected characteristics
• Contribute to the development of the Unions policy objectives including the PCS planning process
• Provide leadership in delivering the unions Legal and Employment Rights strategy
