Job Title: Training Facilitator

Location: Our central office in Islington, just a 10 minute walk from Highbury & Islington station. We work in a hybrid way, with a minimum of two days a week spent in the office or at one of our services, along with regular travel to various sites across both inner and outer London. Kindly be aware that step free access is not be available at our central office, and some of our other services. 

Salary: £30,900

Shift Pattern: 12 month fixed term contract, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00. You may be required to work outside these hours and days as required.  

About the role

We have an exiting opportunity for a Training Facilitator to join our Talent Development team, part of the wider People and Culture team here at SIG! In this role, you’ll oversee and deliver our specialised training programmes for our staff, residents, participants, and external parties. You'll be at the heart of the full training journey including research training needs, designing and developing training content and delivering sessions both in person and online. No two days are the same. 
Some of the key subject areas include: 

De-escalation, conflict management, team building, grief and bereavement, housing/Independent living, employability, confidence and self esteem, and resilience

In this role, you'll:

• Support all stages of training and learning from research, planning to creating, delivering and keeping training records up to date whilst managing admin
• Have a good understanding of what care staff need to do their jobs well, whilst making a positive experience for diverse groups (staff, residents, external stakeholders)
• Help bring information come to life, ensuring its engaging for the audience, promoting inclusivity, safeguarding, and a positive learning culture
• Adapt content delivery styles to suit learners from staff to residents and external partners; identifying skills gaps and implementing feedback for improvement
• Deliver training sessions across a variety of locations, including inner and outer London, along with other locations throughout the UK

What the role involves

1. Ensuring that there are regular training opportunities for both new starters and those requiring refresher sessions or updates when new functions or forms are released. This will include running system training drop in sessions to assist with queries / hear feedback, and relaying information from these to the Information Governance and IT manager.

2. To support managing the case recording system help desk – so that support is always ava

ilable to front line workers and other stakeholders.

3. Working with the Learning and Development Coordinator to establish an evaluation method and implement this to enable us to assess the effectiveness of each training session and using this to improve future delivery.

4. Produce effective training materials and guidance documents, and develop and maintain a training area on our case recording system, including the creation of dummy forms and files for new users to access and use as a training sandbox

5. Performing case recording system changes to forms and lists as directed by the Information Governance and IT Lead

6. Support the Data Reporting and System Support Lead with regards to user administration and user support at times of absence and increased need

7. Working with the Learning and Development Coordinator to support the creation of e-learning training modules for our LMS (currently RISE) Acting at all times in line with safeguarding legislation and guidance in addition to Safer London’s practice guidelines and wider pan-London processes and protocols.

8. Undertaking any other duties as required and commensurate with the level of this post, including covering the Data Reporting and CRS support lead post functions when relevant.

Finance Coordinator is a new role to support our expanding services.

This newly created role will form part of our Finance Team. As a member of a small but dynamic team, you will work closely with the Senior Finance Officer and Head of Finance. Your role will be critical to our success, with your principal responsibilities including:

• processing purchase ledger invoices
• inputting bank and all financial transactions onto the Xero accounting system
• recording donations to Xero accounting system
• reconciling donations, stewardship and CAF transactions with Xero
• reconciling cheques, standing orders and Stripe transactions with Xero
• processing the weekly payment runs ensuring that all payments are paid on time
• processing staff and volunteer expenses

JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Advisor, PPLE is a key role responsible for successfully delivering Lumos’ strategy on safe and meaningful engagement of children, young people, families and caregivers. Considering the cross-cutting nature of participation, the post-holder will work across teams to ensure PPLE is mainstreamed throughout the organisation, strengthening Lumos’ internal capacity and approaches to meaningful participation. They will ensure that Lumos programmes demonstrate innovative and transferrable approaches to participation, and that people with lived experience are meaningfully involved in national, regional and global advocacy and campaigning, as well as within Lumos’ internal governance.  

The Senior Advisor will oversee implementation of Lumos’ newly-developed PPLE Strategy – working in partnership with people with lived experience, PPLE Focal Points in Lumos’s four country offices, and other key colleagues. They will supervise and guide the work of PPLE across country teams and Lumos’s central function to develop and deliver high-quality and effective projects that achieve the objectives of the PPLE strategy.  

The post holder will also work with Global Advocacy, Communications and Fundraising colleagues and country teams to ensure that people with lived experience are well represented in national, regional and global campaigns and initiatives that inform child rights and care reform policy and programming. They will identify and cultivate relationships with relevant stakeholders in the care and related sectors, including with existing national, regional and global networks of care-experienced children and young people, to strengthen partnerships and collaboration around PPLE. The post holder will work hand-in-hand with safeguarding colleagues, acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the PPLE workstream, to ensure Lumos has, and is implementing, appropriate systems to facilitate safe and ethical PPLE that is compliant with data protection protocols. The Senior PPLE Advisor will contribute to fundraising, participating in proposal development, reporting to donors and other related activities. 

KEY OBJECTIVES

• Provide technical leadership on PPLE and oversee the implementation of Lumos’ new PPLE Strategy – working in partnership with people with lived experience, PPLE Focal Points, key staff including in Lumos country offices and external partners including participatory networks and associations. 
• Strengthen Lumos’ internal capacity and approaches to meaningful participation of children, youth, parents and caregivers 
• Ensure that participation of children, young people, parents and caregivers is embedded as a cross-cutting priority throughout the organisation’s projects and programmes 
• Develop an annual strategic plan for PPLE for 2026 and ensure PPLE is included and aligned across the plans, strategies, and projects of other Programmes teams 
• Provide supervision, coordination and capacity-building to the PPLE team, which comprises PPLE Focal Points across Lumos’ four country offices, including setting and implementing objectives, deliverables and KPIs that will motivate the team and achieve ambitious results, and monitor and track progress 
• Ensure coordination and engagement between PPLE Focal Points and organisational leadership 
• Lead on the development of country programme PPLE strategies in line with Lumos’ 2024-7 strategy, alongside PPLE Focal Points and programmes teams.
• Manage the PPLE budget to ensure objectives are met, high quality deliverables are achieved, and budgets are utilised effectively; potential of managing future PPLE grants and programmes depending on priorities 
• Collaborate with the fundraising and Programme teams to develop all project proposals with the Participation of People with Lived Experience embedded throughout, including direct engagement of People with Lived Experience in drafting proposals when appropriate  
• Develop high-quality reports, quarterly, annual, or other for both internal and external audiences, including donors, in collaboration with relevant teams and support positive relationships with stakeholders 
• Represent PPLE at a senior level internally and externally, including in meetings, working groups and committees as needed
• Build and nurture relationships with relevant stakeholders in the care reform and other connected sectors, to secure opportunities for the participation and meaningful involvement of people with lived experience 
• Oversee training and capacity building of people with lived experience so they can participate in care reform implementation initiatives and in decisions that affect their lives 
• Work with advocacy and communications colleagues to ensure that people with lived experience are well represented in regional and global campaigns, events and initiatives that inform child rights and care reform policy and programming. Advocate for and facilitate their inclusion in a meaningful, genuine and non-tokenistic manner 
• Co-ordinate the planning and delivery of external and internal participation events and activities, at national, regional or international level, for example Lumos’ participatory groups, working closely with Advocacy, Communications and other relevant teams.  
• Promote opportunities for young people to be more actively and meaningfully involved in all areas of Lumos’ work, including organisational governance, in line with Lumos’ strategy 2024-27 and the PPLE Strategy. Lead on the coordination of a Lumos Global Youth Advisory Board in close collaboration with the PPLE Focal Points and other relevant teams.
• Lead the development of training and capacity building to teams across Lumos, including ELT, to promote and enable a mainstreamed approach to PPLE 
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the participation function, working closely with safeguarding colleagues and PPLE Focal Points, to ensure Lumos has, and is implementing, appropriate systems to facilitate safe and ethical PPLE that is compliant with relevant organisational policies, including the Safeguarding Policy and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Policy, and with relevant data protection protocols

Responsibilities and Person Specification:

The Senior Individual Giving Officer will play a pivotal role in driving unrestricted income growth from individual supporters at Independent Age. Working closely with the Individual Giving Manager, you will lead on the planning and delivery of supporter acquisition, retention and stewardship activity. You’ll take ownership of key projects and manage multi-channel campaigns and donor journeys that deepen engagement, reduce attrition, and maximise lifetime value. From heartfelt appeals to personalised touchpoints, you’ll ensure every supporter feels valued and connected to our mission.

You will bring experience in managing the planning, budget, set-up, delivery and reporting and analysis of integrated multi-channel digital, direct and offline campaigns and activities that meet and exceed KPI’s. Digital expertise and experience working in a test and learn environment are also key. You’ll have an agile mindset, with the ability to work both proactively and reactively depending on changing priorities.  You must have a passion for, and affinity with, Independent Age’s cause. 

This is a hands-on role with plenty of potential to design and input your own approaches, activities and stewardship to achieve income growth and bring to life the varied work of Independent Age, inspiring supporter loyalty and long-term support.

Job Purpose 

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their knowledge and skills in business development. Working alongside our Business Development Manager, you’ll get involved in new business generation, account management, increasing sponsorship opportunities and converting leads to sales. You’ll also be involved in providing an outstanding level of customer service to our partners and sponsors and develop your own portfolio of accounts and sales prospects.

Main Responsibilties 

Business development support 

• Support with the delivery of a business development strategy for BSR that secures financially sustainable funding streams that support our drive to improve patient care 
• Carry out routine market research, pricing modelling and competitor analysis  
• Generate ideas for product development that improve our product portfolios to keep partners engaged in supporting our membership. 

Relationship building and customer service 

• Provide exceptional and consistent relationship management with sponsors, partners and collaborators  
• With the Business Development Manager, enable internal sharing of insight and intelligence about trends and movements with industry partners  
• Keep all trackers and sales pipelines up to date. 

Systems and compliance 

• Support our partners to maximise their impact  
• Be the key admin for business development systems and trackers, including being the team’s subject matter expert for the CRM 
• Be a secondary admin for related team systems, such as booking systems and conference apps 
• With the Business Development Manager, ensure our materials and products are compliant with the ABPI pharmaceutical industry code

Mind in Enfield and Barnet is a fast-growing charity in North London providing much needed therapy, wellbeing support and advocacy services to people with mental health problems. 

This is an exciting new role for an experienced mental health professional who has experience of providing support to and working with clients with mild, moderate and severe mental health issues. You will provide Client Support for all services, including effective, in depth triage of clients, identification of client risk including escalation and support to clients. The successful candidate will provide support to all services, including building up and developing a bank of volunteers and (volunteer coordination) including general administrative support, as well as changes in service delivery. 

Client Support duties include:

• Support client enquiries by using in depth mental health skills to triage effectively
• Ensure appropriate and timely responses and assistance to clients by drawing on mental health training and experience.
• To use social prescription methodology, mental health experience and mental health triaging experience to most effectively signpost and refer (internally or externally) clients, on the phone and possibly via walk in (should we move to that type of provision)
• To liaise, (on behalf of clients), with services and service managers where clients get in touch for enquiries, changes or updates.
• Contribute to the development of a safe welcoming environment
• Provide support for clients when they may be experiencing emotional distress.

Service support duties include:

• Working with the Therapy Services Co-ordinator to provide service support, liaising with relevant staff where there are changes to client appointments or staff rotas and keeping rotas up to date
• Utilising and updating the client database/s for client enquiries, client information and changes to services
• Working with service managers to ensure homogeny of client referral information and processes
• Supporting clients and services by keeping an up to date understanding and log of internal services

Volunteer Co-ordination duties include:

• Building up and developing a bank of volunteers for services in order to develop new service models to expand our capacity to reach more people
• Recruiting and inducting new volunteers and working with / liaising with service managers to ensure they are matched with the right opportunities

Food Sustainability Project Coordinator

For over five decades, the Renewal Programme has been a trusted cornerstone of the community in the London Borough of Newham, tackling the root causes and consequences of poverty, isolation, and disadvantage.

Role overview

This role is central to our mission to support sustainable living, reduce food waste, tackle local food insecurity, and foster meaningful community connections. As a key part of delivering the vision set out in our National Lottery-funded RenewALL Hub proposal, you will ensure our food provision goes beyond meeting immediate needs to build inclusion, wellbeing, and pathways into wider community support.

Your primary responsibility will be to secure regular donations of surplus food by developing and maintaining strong partnerships with local supermarkets, shops, restaurants, and national redistribution organisations like the Newham Food Alliance, Felix Project, and Feeding Britain.

You will manage the effective use of this food across our services, including the foodbank, food pantry, warm meals programme, and cooking classes. This will involve careful stock management, menu planning, and coordinating with lead staff to ensure our food provision meets Newham’s environmental, health, and cultural needs. A key part of this will be overseeing the successful operation and promotion of our expanded food pantry.

Coordinating volunteers will be essential, particularly in managing and expanding our cargo bike fleet for surplus food collection and redistribution. You will also explore opportunities to monetise these sustainable transport services. To further engage the community, you will organise and host quarterly workshops on reducing food waste and eating on a budget.

Ultimately, you will play a vital role in coordinating our surplus food operations, managing volunteer teams, and strengthening partnerships to ensure our food services are impactful, sustainable, and community-led.

Key Responsibilities

Food Supply & Partnerships

• Secure regular surplus food donations from local supermarkets, shops, restaurants, farms, and redistribution networks (e.g., FareShare, Felix Project, Newham Food Alliance).
• Build strong partnerships with local and national food aid providers to maximise supply, reduce duplication, and ensure continuity of stock.
• Ensure culturally appropriate, nutritious food options are consistently available.

Food Service Delivery

• Lead the operational management of the RenewALL Food Pantry, ensuring it is welcoming, respectful, and centred on dignity and choice.
• Oversee twice-weekly pantry sessions, ensuring high-quality customer service, stock availability, and culturally relevant food.
• Maximise the effective use of volunteers in the operation of the pantry.

Sustainable Food Initiatives & Logistics

• Manage and expand the cargo bike food redistribution programme, ensuring effective logistics, safety, insurance, and maintenance.

  Project Awareness & Marketing

• Work with our marketing team to introduce creative community campaigns (e.g., Reverse Advent, seasonal drives, sponsorships) to encourage donations of both food and direct funds.

Background and purpose

We are the only UK-wide charity for everyone affected by a genetic and acquired bleeding disorder. 

At the Haemophilia Society (THS) we want to empower everyone affected by a bleeding disorder to live life to the full, whatever your stage in life.

One in 2,000 men, women and children in the UK have a diagnosed bleeding disorder, which are a group of conditions, including haemophilia and von Willebrand disorder, that result when the blood cannot clot properly. 

As many as a third of bleeding disorder diagnoses have no known family history and can be the result of a random gene mutation. This means a bleeding disorder diagnosis can come completely out of the blue.

THS brings together people with bleeding disorders and their families to share experiences and understand more about how to live well with a bleeding disorder. Together, we can all make a difference.

About the role

We’re incredibly lucky to have a generous and dedicated community who are always looking for new ways to support our work. We are looking for a passionate fundraiser who can take ownership of our community fundraising and empower our members and supporters in their fundraising ventures. You’ll act as the face of THS for people looking to raise money in a variety of wonderful ways – ensuring they have what they need to be as successful as possible.
