About the Role:
The Trust Fundraising Intern will work in collaboration with the Senior Trust and Foundations Manager to be responsible for securing critical funding that sustains our life-changing programs worldwide. As part of your internship, you’ll have the chance to contribute meaningfully to fundraising efforts, gaining hands-on experience in trust fundraising and developing skills that will help you kick-start your career in the charity sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Portfolio Support
- Assist in managing a portfolio of trust and foundation supporters, focusing on smaller funders to build relationships and secure gifts.
- Support the Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager in maintaining accurate and up-to-date donor records on the CRM database.
- Help with stewardship activities, including preparing thank-you communications, reports, and updates to funders.
2. Research and Prospect Development
- Conduct research into new funding prospects and support the development of bespoke, compelling proposals tailored to potential donors.
- Track emerging trends in trust and foundation fundraising to identify growth opportunities.
3. Proposal and Report Writing
- Assist in drafting high-quality communications such as funding proposals, applications and impact reports that reflect our projects and inspire support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to gather relevant information for use in proposals and stewardship materials.
4. Administrative Support
- Support the team’s transition to a new CRM system, ensuring trust and foundation data is accurately maintained.
- Help manage the team’s administrative processes, including monitoring deadlines for applications and reporting.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern:
This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

About the role
Our Welfare Officers provide direct and impactful welfare support to RAF personnel and their immediate family. As a trusted and confidential source of support, you will assist our service users with challenges they are facing, from mental ill-health, difficult relationships, domestic abuse, financial and cost-of-living concerns, resettlement, housing, childcare, equality issues, bereavement, military discharge or deployment and many more - no day will be the same, as such this is a great opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within the Welfare sector.

About the role
This role is a newly created position working within the Youth Access to Immigration Representation and Advice (YAIRA) project providing immigration and asylum support to young people who are in care or are care leavers. The YAIRA Project was set up by Coram CLC and 4 local authorities – Enfield, Islington, Barnet and Camden - to increase access to representation and advice for children in care and leaving care.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in upholding the rights of vulnerable children and young people with experience of the care system who is seeking to progress their legal aid career in the charity sector. Our lawyers benefit from a good work-life balance and realistic financial and chargeable hour targets. The role can be split between working from home/office-based with flexibility as to the balance between the two.
The successful candidate will work alongside a senior caseworker already working on the project and together you will liaise with the local authorities involved in the project to implement an effective referral mechanism for children and young persons in their care and have conduct of and be responsible for a caseload of immigration, asylum and associated human rights law matters concerning children, young people and families referred by the local authorities. You will be expected to provide high quality legal advice, assistance and representation to these clients through legal aid casework.
The candidate will also be involved in providing ad hoc training as required to the local authority partners on areas relating to the immigration needs of children in care and care leavers and as agreed with the local authorities.
When not working on the YAIRA project, the postholder may be asked to provide paralegal casework support to the wider immigration and asylum team.

The successful candidate should be able to manage a caseload independently, but we also offer excellent supervision and training opportunities, and we support all our employees in their career progression.

Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Education Programmes Coordinator to support the UKESF Education Team in delivering and expanding our charitable education initiatives. This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone passionate about STEM education and youth engagement, who enjoys working both collaboratively and independently.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage the coordination, and delivery of UKESF’s education programmes, including school outreach, competitions, and online learning resources.
· With support from the Head of Education, organise and attend educational events, workshops, and teacher training sessions.
· Support the creation of engaging content for newsletters, social media, and educational materials, working closely with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
· Communicate with schools, teachers, students, and partner organisations to ensure smooth delivery of programmes.
· Maintain accurate records, assist with monitoring and evaluation, and contribute to reporting on programme outcomes.
· Provide general administrative assistance to the Education Team, including scheduling, document preparation, and meeting support.

About you

About Us
The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) brings together 15 of the UK’s leading aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of humanitarian crisis overseas. As Philanthropy and Partnerships Officer, you will play an essential role in helping us build and sustain the long-term funding relationships that support our emergency appeals and strategic work.
All roles at the DEC are based in our London office. We operate a hybrid working model, with some non-negotiable office attendance. Please note, during the two-week appeal launch period, staff are required to work long hours in a high-paced environment, with mandatory office attendance.
