Bromley Experts by Experience is a local Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation, run by and for Deaf and Disabled people and carers in Bromley and neighbouring Boroughs.

You would be joining a small, committed team of staff who are passionate about creating more inclusive and accessible communities in Bromley and beyond to enable Deaf and Disabled people to participate fully in society and realise our rights.
As Youth Transition Worker, you will be working with young Disabled people in schools/colleges and the local community to support them to navigate the transition to adulthood. You will lead on co-producing workshops and events with young Disabled people to ensure they have the skills and knowledge they need to make this transition successfully.

Location: You will be based in our office in Anerley. During term time, you will be visiting four Bromley schools weekly. In addition, you will need to be able to travel to other Bromley venues as required and occasionally further afield. Some hybrid working may be possible in this role in consultation with your line manager.
Hours: 28 hours per week
Salary: £29,300 per year pro rata to 28 hours per week (35 hours FTE)
Annual leave: 5.6 weeks per year including bank holidays, pro rata

- Develop connections with other youth organisations to organise workshops in school holidays that appeal to young Disabled people.
- Promote our free membership and volunteering opportunities to young Disabled people.
- Develop the skills of young Disabled people so they can take up positions on our Trustee Board.
- Support young Disabled people to regularly evaluate the project and ensure that this data is updated on our database in a timely manner.

The Community Energy Adviser will deliver energy support sessions in local communities, empowering individuals and families through workshops and one-to-one support. About the role
Our residents in this service have experienced long-term street homelessness and have faced significant challenges including with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency, and struggled to sustain engagement with support services. That's why they're here, to make a change and gain the support they need to enable greater independence and recovery.
As a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provides person centred support to our residents, you will work to ensure safety and wellbeing of our residents. You will support mainly the night shifts to ensure the service runs smoothly at night, being a point of contact for residents, engaging with them to ensure their safety comes first, and running various evening activities for engagement. You will build trusting and professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through one to one sessions, group sessions, and general wellbeing check ins. During quieter hours, you will be responsible for ensuring administration is up to date, the service is kept clean and tidy, and will support with additional ad hoc tasks.
About you
We're looking for someone who has a true passion for what we do as an organisation, and particularly in supporting those who have faced homelessness and may have other complex needs. Our residents needs are at the forefront of service delivery, so someone who can build trusting professional relationships is key. You will be adaptable, proactive, and able to use your initiative to resolve challenges, and keep the night service running smoothly. You will be able to work within a team, and have previous knowledge of the needs our residents may have. Job Title: Support Mentor
Location: Based in service, Latimer Road, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) - Short walking distance from Latimer Road underground station (Circle and Hammersmith and City Lines)

About the role
Our residents in this service have experienced long-term street homelessness and have faced significant challenges including with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency, and struggled to sustain engagement with support services. That's why they're here, to make a change and gain the support they need to enable greater independence and recovery.
In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents, working to ensure the safety and wellbeing. You will build trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins. Your role will focus on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals.
About you
We're looking for someone who has a true passion for what we do as an organisation, and particularly in supporting those who have faced homelessness and may have other complex needs. Our residents needs are at the forefront of service delivery, so someone who can build trusting professional relationships is key. You will be adaptable, proactive, and able to use your initiative to resolve challenges.. You will be able to work within a team, and have previous knowledge of the needs our residents may have. Each support plan is tailored to the individual, putting their needs first for the team to be able to deliver support to their needs. What are we looking for:
- Understanding of the needs of those who have faced homelessness and have various complex needs including mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency
- Ability to use IT systems to record case notes, email relevant people, and use other software required within the role

Job Purpose
As part of GoodGym's Operations Support Team, you will play a key role in coordinating volunteers to provide practical and social support for older people across the UK.
The crucial part of this role will involve supporting volunteers and beneficiaries throughout processing and confirming mission requests for practical tasks and monitoring and supporting befriending pairings.
You will also work as part of project teams making changes to improve our processes. And you will collaborate with and support colleagues across the organisation.

Office Management
- Providing phone and email support to our members, referrers and beneficiaries
Volunteer Support
- Acting as the first point of contact for volunteers, whether over email or over the phone; supporting them on either social visits or missions, troubleshooting and resolving issues where necessary, maintaining complete volunteer records and reporting to the Operations Support Team Manager if any safeguarding issues/allegations are made in line with GoodGym’s Safeguarding Policy
- Providing administrative support for missions, including but not limited to: communicating with referral partners, screening and listing missions on the GoodGym website, confirming missions with beneficiaries on the phone and ensuring best safeguarding practices are upheld
- Supporting volunteers through the process of DBS applications, checking references and making judgement calls on volunteers’ suitability for the volunteer role

We are seeking a Specialist ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) to join our Advocacy team at Respond. The role includes providing pro-active emotional, practical and advocacy support for adults with learning disabilities and autistic people with complex or multiple needs who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are engaging, (or considering engaging) with the criminal justice system. The ISVA will work across London to provide non-judgmental, trauma-informed emotional support, working in partnership with other London sexual violence support services.
Our ideal candidate will have a friendly and relational approach to working with clients. You will have the ability to build trusting relationships, work in an empowering and inclusive way and support clients to heal following sexual abuse and develop coping capacity. You will be a self-motivated individual who will engage with a wider range of people who have experience sexual violence, and other barriers to justice.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an inclusive and passionate team, and you will be supported by the ISVA Service Manager in your ongoing development.
