The primary aim of this role is to help Money and Mental Health secure the income it needs to deliver its mission and further strengthen the charity’s financial footing for the future. This is a crucial role in our new Fundraising team, and the successful candidate will work across all elements of our income generation activities - from grant-writing to donor stewardship and pipeline development.

The role will have a particular focus on securing funding from Trusts and Foundations, but there will also be ample opportunities to engage corporate partners and other prospective funders. 

The successful candidates will have the chance to bring their ideas in terms of identifying new routes to funding for the organisation and shaping our income generation activities.

Key responsibilities:

Funding bids and proposals

• Draft and develop effective and impactful fundraising bids and proposals to secure both grant income and corporate sponsorship

• Project manage the process of developing funding proposals - including completing funding checklists, coordinating the team on relevant deadlines and booking in time for sign off from relevant colleagues.

Relationship management

• Play a key role in donor stewardship alongside Head of Fundraising and Senior Leadership Team (SLT), including grant makers, corporates and individual donors

• Support SLT in identifying - and building relationships with - relevant individuals within prospective funder organisations - including coordinating meetings.

• Ensure we stay on top of our grant requirements, including drafting grant reports and coordinating other team members to fulfil those requirements

• Work with External Affairs team to create excellent supporter journeys for online donors.

Pipeline development

• Work with Head of Fundraising to undertake research into new fundraising prospects and to develop a strong funder pipeline

• Stay on top of new developments in the charity sector and wider funding landscape

• Make recommendations to Head of Fundraising on new funders we should engage with or seek to build relationships with

• Maintain accurate pipeline data and prospect records, ensuring regular updates

Planning, strategy and vision

• Contribute to the delivery of our income generation strategy - including meeting relevant targets set out in the strategy. 

• Support the team with advance planning on funding bids, project managing complex cross-team processes, matrix-managing small project teams and ensuring all key milestones are met 

• Proactively suggest ideas for ways of improving our processes and ways of working to better support our income generation targets or better deliver our work.

Essential qualities 

• A proven track record of securing five-figure grants or income from trusts, foundations and/or corporate partners.

• Strong copywriting skills, and the ability to articulate the impact from donations

• Excellent project management skills

We have an exciting position in our team for an experienced and ambitious trusts fundraiser. Working as part of the Partnership Team and line managing one Grants & Programmes Manager, the Senior Grants & Programmes Manager will secure critical income from new and existing trust and foundation donors through compelling pitches and excellent stewardship.

The position will build on existing multiyear relationships with donors giving at the six-figure level per year, aiming to grow their contributions, as well as making approaches to new prospects, working closely with the Director of Partnerships. Main Duties & Responsibilities

Trust and Foundation Funding Development

• Ensure achievement of annual income target for trusts and foundations
• Take primary responsibility for managing the current pool of trust/foundation donors, to ensure their growth and longevity – strategic input into the growth of each relationship will be essential

Additional Responsibilities

• Line-manage one Grants & Programmes Manager, supporting them to manage their own portfolio of new prospects and existing relationships, including small trusts mailings
• Create and maintain annual trusts and foundations income and expenditure budgets and business plans, including current donors and forecasting new business income

Women in Prison (WiP)is a national, women-led, feminist organisation.  We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as women resettle back into their communities. Trusts and Grants Manager

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Trusts and Grants Fundraiser to join our High Value Engagement Team to help us in our mission to tackle the devastation of Stroke.

Position: CE387 Trusts and Grants Manager

Location: Home-based, UK Nationwide. However, occasional travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Salary: Circa £41,300 per annum (inner London weighting £3,950 per annum or outer London weighting £2,275 per annum may be applied in accordance with where you live)

Contract: Permanent

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Trusts and  Grants, you’ll lead a mixed portfolio of high-value funders with the potential to give £50,000+. Your ultimate goal will be to build six-figure, long-term funding partnerships, ensuring every supporter feels valued, inspired and connected to our work.

Key responsibilities include:

· Driving significant income growth by meeting and exceeding agreed personal and team fundraising targets.

· Nurturing and developing existing five- and six-figure relationships with trusts and statutory funders.

· Identifying and cultivating new high value funding opportunities, working collaboratively with senior leaders and specialist colleagues across the organisation to inspire donations.

· Delivering exceptional stewardship, partnering with internal teams to create high-quality, impactful funding applications and meaningful progress reports that demonstrate impact.

· Undertaking insightful research into trusts and statutory funders to shape strategic, tailored approaches.

About You

You’ll be an excellent writer, with the ability to take complex information and translate it into compelling, persuasive cases for support. A strong relationship builder, you’ll cultivate deep, meaningful partnerships with funders, inspiring long-term commitment and maximising lifetime value through increased and recurring support.

This role would suit an ambitious and tenacious trust fundraiser with outstanding stewardship skills and the confidence and drive to secure six-figure gifts that enable lasting change for stroke survivors.

We are looking for an ambitious Programme Funding Manager to play a pivotal role in securing and managing funding from institutional donors, trusts, foundations, government agencies, and multilateral donors to support the delivery of vital global programmes supporting communities across the world.

The team would love this person to be in the London office once a week but this can be discussed, there may be occasional overseas travel. The team can consider 5 or 4 days a week.

The Role

Further develop the Global Programme Funding Strategy to source funding in programme areas of interest including health, disaster risk management, resilience, sustainable livelihoods as well as research grants.

Identify and develop engagement plans for a wide range of UK and international institutional donors, research organisations, universities, trusts and foundations.

Lead on the development of high-quality funding proposals, contributing towards organisation wide grant and contract income targets.

Work with the UK and global in country teams to deliver the strategy and line manage and support the Senior Programme Funding Officer.

Oversee contract management and oversee compliance with donor regulations.

The Candidate

Are you an experienced relationship fundraiser with experience of the following:

Income Generation significant experience and a successful track record securing grants from key institutional funders, ideally from the relevant thematic areas of: animal welfare, livelihoods, resilience building, access to water, food and gender.

Current knowledge and experience of institutional funders priorities, requirements and ways of working.

Knowledge and experience of the Programme management cycle.

Experience of producing budgets and reports for funders; experience of negotiating budgets, value for money etc.
