Job description

We are looking to recruit someone who can be both an effective personal transitions coach and a capable team leader of volunteers, to support young people to transition towards independence. Initially you will provide hands on transition support to 80 young people leaving the Aspire Special School in Buckinghamshire and as that tapers away, will overlap that with development of a two year, volunteer-based, mentoring programme for 25-30 young people

You will be responsible for the recruitment, deployment, support and supervision of around 40 volunteers. The project is an exciting new development, building on existing models and approaches and has every potential for replication into other areas.

You are an excellent organiser, team-leader and communicator with a hands-on approach. From experience, you want to make a real difference and you are able to work sensitively and effectively with young people who have personal challenges and need help.

You will be excited by the opportunities in this role and growing charity, and determined to achieve excellent results for the young people we support.
