An exciting opportunity!

This is a rare and genuinely exciting opportunity to lead the UK's only dedicated charity supporting children, adults and families affected by MPS, Fabry disease and related lysosomal storage disorders. Following the current Chief Executive's planned move to become Managing Director of Rare Disease Research Partners (RDRP) in January 2027, the incoming CEO will take the helm of an organisation with over forty years of history, a trusted national reputation and a growing role on the international rare disease stage. The successful candidate will shape the strategic vision for more than 1,800 families, oversee the close partnership between the Society and its research subsidiary RDRP, and champion the patient and family ethos that sits at the heart of the organisation's work. This is an essential car user post. The applicant must hold a current UK driver’s licence, with no more than 6 points, have access to a car and be able and willing to drive UK wide as required.

This senior role requires flexibility in working hours and location.  It is primarily offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in our Amersham, Buckinghamshire, office each week. To successfully lead the Grants team and raise voluntary income from a range of Grantmakers including Trusts, Foundations and local Government grant funders contributing to an overall team target of £1-million +. Working effectively with a grants team of three, and across the organisation, you will meet team annual targets of circa £675,000 through finding new opportunities, building excellent relationships with funders and managing the team effectively. This will lead to more young people reached by Eikon’s services.

Responsibilities

Income generation

· Lead responsibility for raising current annual team target of £675,000 for restricted and unrestricted income

· Work to agreed metrices including an annual target of £220,000 - £250,000/year with a pipeline including statutory, national & regional grant funders (some being invite only).

· Develop and lead networking plan (internal/external) to secure long-term grant and statutory funding opportunities to help increase financial income year on year.

Account Management

· Lead a stewardship framework, ensuring excellent account management of funders across the team (including own portfolio)

· Lead plans for the year, thinking creatively to develop new engagement opportunities such as panels, breakfast meetings and other events

· Collaborate with other leads and managers in the team to maximise opportunities through relationships, for example Major Donors, Corporate partnerships and Individual Givers.

Management

· Line management two staff members (Senior Grants Fundraiser and Trust Fundraiser), creating a positive and supportive working culture supporting them to meet their targets

· Lead on managing pipeline information on Donorfy, being able to pull reports for information and analysis including:

o Provision of data and narrative for monthly team meetings

o Contribution to Board reporting with narrative and pipeline information

o Analysis for annual planning sessions

Quality and standards

· Ensure all staff and volunteers understand and deliver within Eikon’s safeguarding policies and practices when taking part in fundraising activities.

· Ensure all activities follow the relevant Fundraising Codes of Practice and Eikon’s Ethical Fundraising Policy.

· Prepare relevant Grant Agreements and contractual information.

· Carry out risk assessments for all activities for which you are responsible.

Finance and resources

· Budget responsibility with authorisation up to agreed limits

Universify Education is looking for a passionate and motivated Fundraising Officer to deliver the charity's fundraising activities and engage Universify’s community to enable the ongoing running of our transformative programmes. THE ROLE

As the Fundraising Officer, you will plan and deliver the charity’s income generation strategy, covering Trusts and Foundations, Individual Giving and Public Fundraising. THE CHARITY

Universify exists to create a fairer, more equal society where every young person can fulfil their potential regardless of their background. We work primarily with Year 10-11 students (aged 14-16) to increase their aspirations, improve GCSE attainment and to gain a greater understanding of post-18 pathways, particularly university, to make a more informed decision about their future. Our main Oxford programme includes a week-long residential in summer of Year 10, a 3-day GCSE-focused revision residential in the spring of Year 11, and regular online coaching. 

Main Duties

• Plan and deliver the charity’s income generation strategy, including Trusts and Foundations, Individual Giving, and Public Fundraising campaigns

Dean Farm Trust is seeking an experienced and compassionate Sanctuary Operations Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and operational management of our 32-acre animal sanctuary near Chepstow.

Home to 200 rescued animals, including pigs, cows, sheep, goats, equines and birds, Dean Farm Trust provides a home for life to animals in need. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with animal welfare at its heart.

The Sanctuary Operations Manager will lead our on-site team, working through our Team Leaders to ensure the Sanctuary operates safely, effectively and to the highest standards of animal welfare. The role will oversee staffing and rotas, volunteer development, recruitment and training, budgets and resources, facilities and maintenance, land and pasture management, health and safety, compliance, contractors, projects and the operational delivery of Sanctuary events and activities.

Help sustain Palestine's first and only licensed palliative care service

Bethlehem Care & Hospice Trust (BCHT) is a small UK charity supporting the development of specialist palliative and hospice care in Palestine. In August 2023, the service we support became the first licensed palliative care service in Palestine. Since then, its specialist nurses have cared for more than 350 patients and their families and delivered more than 5,000 home visits.

The service has demonstrated what can be achieved. Our challenge now is to secure its future. We are investing in professional fundraising for the first time and are looking for an experienced Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser to help us build the sustainable income needed to protect and strengthen this pioneering service.

The opportunity

This is an unusually autonomous role in which you will work directly with BCHT's Trustees and colleagues in Palestine. You will take responsibility for developing income from charitable trusts, foundations and grant-making organisations: identifying prospects, developing compelling propositions, preparing high-quality applications and building long-term funder relationships.

We currently raise approximately £60,000-£80,000 each year against a core service requirement of around £150,000. Your initial focus will therefore be sustainability of the existing service, with opportunities subsequently to support its development and growth. Our Year 1 income target for this role is £70,000.

This role could be for you if you have proven experience of successful trusts and foundations fundraising; can demonstrate success in preparing grant applications; write persuasively; can research and develop a strong prospect pipeline; are highly organised; can work independently; and would value the opportunity to use your professional expertise to make a direct and measurable difference.

Experience of healthcare, hospice or palliative care, international development, small charities or faith-based organisations would be useful but is not essential.

About our organisation

Music as Therapy International is looking for an ambitious, creative and relationship-focused Fundraising Manager to lead our fundraising as we enter an exciting new phase of our development.

Registered in 1998 and recently converted to a CIO, we are a small, established charity with a big ambition: To inspire, guide and champion caregivers to use music to strengthen care. Our work equips caregivers with practical skills and approaches that use music to improve the lives of people in vulnerable situations around the world.

We have entered a new strategic period focused on extending our reach, evolving our training and securing the future of music in care. In 2025 we operated with an income of c.£225k.  We are now looking for someone to build on this, bringing fundraising expertise, initiative and curiosity to help us turn our strategic ambitions into sustainable growth. 

About the role

As our Fundraising Manager, you will have a genuinely influential role in making that ambition possible. Working closely with our Director and wider team, you will take the lead on developing and delivering our fundraising strategy across trusts and foundations, major donors, regular giving, community fundraising, corporate partnerships and legacies.

This is not a role where you will be one small part of a large fundraising machine. You will have the opportunity to shape our approach, develop meaningful relationships with supporters and funders, identify new opportunities and turn our impact into compelling propositions that inspire people to give.

The Sports Development Officer role develops, leads and coordinates sports activity programmes that increase participation and use sport to improve health, reduce crime and build social inclusion - working to the Selby Trust’s ‘Selby Active Sports Strategy’. 

In this role you will: 

• Grow and diversify Selby Active's sports portfolio while sustaining existing relationships (i.e. charities, the NHS, local authorities (Haringey Council and Enfield Council), funders (Including Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, England and Wales Cricket Board and Middlesex in the Community), schools and colleges and sport national governing bodies (NGBs).

• Build and maintain partnerships with strategic and local stakeholders

• Focus delivery on under-represented groups — young people, women, older and disabled people, and ethnically diverse communities

• Address issues of health, crime, and social inclusion

The role requires flexible work, including some evenings and weekends, to achieve the best possible outcome within available resources.

Principal accountabilities

• Recruit, supervise, train and manage Selby Active coaches, staff, volunteers and instructors, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

• Lead project coordination, planning, ongoing development and budget management, setting high-quality standards; work with the Partnerships and Funding Manager on sports bids.

• Identify sport, recreation and health initiatives, overseeing strategic planning and implementation.

• Coordinate, deliver and promote activities, classes and events - particularly for under-represented groups - working with internal colleagues and Haringey and Enfield Councils to develop a varied programme for the new Selby Centre.

• Engage informal and registered sports groups, especially those in our community, ensuring they are aware of the activities available to them.

• Represent Selby Trust and build effective relationships with sports users, volunteers, local sports groups, local authorities and awarding/professional bodies, including at local, regional and national meetings, seminars and conferences.

• Lead engagement with sports partners and proactively reach out to local clubs, delivering against KPIs and drawing on their collective expertise.

• Support capacity-building for small sports organisations, including identifying organisations for Selby's GLA-supported business support programme.

• Organising workshops, accredited courses and mentoring programmes.

• Monitor and evaluate our on-site activities and services, interpreting data to produce high-quality reports and presentations for funders and stakeholders (including the Board of Trustees and local authorities).

• Identify, apply for and provide information on sports grants and sponsorship, working with the Partnerships and Funding Manager.

• Co-lead the capture of stories, case studies and content for Selby Trust's digital channels.

• Work with Pre- and Post-16 initiatives to encourage sports participation and parental involvement.

• Check venues and manage facilities.

• Develop a community membership scheme.

• Work within relevant guidelines, including equal opportunities, health and safety, and safeguarding and child protection.

Requirements and skills: Essential

• Passion for sport

• A relevant qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience in sports development, coaching or community engagement

• Experience in community sports groups/club engagement and organising effective outreach & events

• Experience in monitoring and evaluation, and in producing reports and delivering presentations

• Strong and effective written/verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to engage and communicate with people from a wide range of social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds – including older and disabled people –and openness listening to and reflecting diverse views

• Stakeholder management and network building

• Good organisational skills – able to prioritise workload, manage time and meet deadlines, working both on own initiative and as part of a team

• Good level of working knowledge in Office 365 – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint

Requirements and skills: Desirable

• Understanding of social justice issues, particularly in relation to community empowerment

• Familiarity using HR systems, I.e. Bright HR

• Knowledge of local community and statutory and non-governmental organisations locally

• Knowledge of working with a CRM system and/or Project management system such as Salesforce
