Being a till volunteer includes all the same responsibilities as a shop volunteer, however, when you’re ready, we’ll provide you with additional training to:

• Serve customers on the till in a warm and friendly way.
• Put sales through the till, packing them and thanking the customer for shopping with us.
• Talk to customers about Gift Aid and other fundraising initiatives.

Causeway Education  are partnering with the Sweaty Betty Foundation to deliver workshops to girls in secondary schools about the importance of physical activity.

Our collaboration involves bringing role models from the community (across a variety of sectors and professions) into schools with us to deliver classroom-based workshops that act both as a careers education and also a motivation for staying physically active. For example, our role models might talk about how physical activity (however big or small, in whatever shape that looks like for them) has helped with their mental wellbeing or skill development in resilience, confidence, problem-solving that has allowed them to get where they are today in their careers. It is taking a holistic approach to viewing physical activity beyond appearance, to show teenage girls how being physically active can benefit them moving forward.

We are looking for women who are interested in speaking with girls about how physical activity has helped them with mental wellbeing, education and career goals and developing skills. The workshops last between 1.5 to 2 hours and are co-facilitated with a member of our team. Your role as a volunteer role model is to join the facilitator in assisting with activities that help re-frame the girls thinking around physical activity and encourage them to set a pledge in an area they are interested in exploring.

No previous experience required and a 1:1 introductory training call provided. No time commitment - you can do as many or as little workshops as you like, and we liaise with the school against your availability, location etc. Travel expenses are reimbursed. If you are passionate about getting teenage girls active, and feel you can share your own journey and experiences with physical activity, this would be great for you.

About INQUEST

INQUEST is the only charity in England and Wales providing expertise on state-related deaths and the subsequent investigation and inquest process. For over 40 years, we have worked alongside bereaved families, campaigners, and legal professionals to advocate for accountability and meaningful change. Our casework team provides specialist advice to families who have been traumatically bereaved by state-related deaths involving police, prisons, mental health settings, and other forms of detention. We also work closely with the Inquest Lawyers Group. Through dedicated research and monitoring, we identify and keep track of key issues and missed opportunities to prevent state-related deaths. We aim to put the voices and experiences of bereaved families at the heart of everything we do.

About the role

We are recruiting two administration volunteers to support our casework team. Volunteers will be expected to:

· Provide administrative support with case file management;

· Communicate with lawyers for case updates;

· Carry out research on relevant state bodies, such as specific prisons;

· Help identify, research and monitor key issues and emerging concerns in relation to contentious state-related deaths.

We are looking for volunteer football enthusiasts to both play football and enjoy talking all things football with someone with learning disabilities and or autism.  As a volunteer you will need to be able to volunteer for a couple of hours each week.
