The Admin Volunteer will support our home/service with general day-to-day, ad hoc, administrative tasks, such as:

• Organising files

• Archiving and scanning paperwork

• Collecting and inputting data

• Answering phone calls and welcoming visitors.

Skills required

• To be proficient in Microsoft Office software.

• Very good organisational skills and eye for detail.

• To be punctual and reliable.

• To be able to deal with information in line with our data protection and confidentiality procedures.

All these courses will take approximately 40-60 minutes, apart from the First Aid which is 2 hours.

• Attending events as a key SSAFA representative.
• Providing timely reports and information to SSAFA’s central office
• Overseeing a programme of meetings including an AGM, branch meetings, committee meetings, training etc.
• Working with other volunteers, regional and national team members to attract and recruit new volunteers as required.
• Work closely with the community engagement co-ordinator to recruit, welcome, induct, support, and manage volunteers in line with SSAFA policies, such as the Volunteering Policy, Volunteer Code of Conduct, Data Protection Policy, and Safeguarding Policy.

We need an Individual Giving Volunteer to support with office administration and preparation of

Role responsibilities:
• Pack and send our Welcome Packs for new members and for Wildlife Watch families
• Pack and send our membership letters and other supporter communications 
• Stock-checking
• Checking, scanning and filing supporter documentation and records

• Researching areas where the Trust can grow our community fundraising e.g. looking into 
local supermarket giving schemes

Skills and experience you will need:

This Recruitment is focused within the Lewes & Wealden areas of network. As a Community Volunteer, you will support at local events.   You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team, gaining valuable skills and confidence along the way. What you’ll do: * Support our first aiders at community events *Support our network fundraising goals * Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality care * Represent St John in a professional and welcoming way What we offer: * Full training – no previous experience needed* A supportive and inclusive team environment * Opportunities to get involved in a wide range of activities

Once we have completed your selection and screening for this role, we will provide you with an induction, as well as invite you to any necessary training sessions. We will also provide you with a supportive environment while you are volunteering with us. Information about our volunteer roles are included in the role descriptions. We will be running a Selection Event to be held on Monday 1st of June or Monday 8th of June from 8pm at Ringmer Village Hall

If you are successful you will need to undertake induction & training : Induction for successful candidates will take place in July.

You will need to attend the Community Volunteer Course once available.

The Admin Volunteer will support our home/service with general day-to-day, ad hoc, administrative tasks, such as:

• Organising files

• Archiving and scanning paperwork

• Collecting and inputting data

• Answering phone calls and welcoming visitors.

Skills required

• To be proficient in Microsoft Office software.

• Very good organisational skills and eye for detail.

• To be punctual and reliable.

• To be able to deal with information in line with our data protection and confidentiality procedures.

• Very good telephone manners/skills.

Training required for this role (all delivered vis e-learning)

• Fire Safety

• First Aid

All these courses will take approximately 40-60 minutes, apart from the First Aid which is 2 hours.
