Crisis of Faith: 1 in 4 young Muslims are leaving the religion due to various factors, primarily the pervasive anti-religious content and temptations they encounter online and oine.

Roots Academy exists to bridge this gap by providing a structured and transformative Islamic education that speaks directly to the needs and challenges of young Muslims today, delivered in an engaging and accessible form that provokes thought and action.

Role Summary

To bring our vision to life, you will play a key role in shaping how Roots Academy tells its story visually. As a Videographer, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality video content that supports our educational programs, strengthens our online presence, and helps our message resonate deeply with audiences across digital platforms.

Key Tasks

• Plan, film, and capture high-quality video content for social media, campaigns, events, interviews, and educational content.
• Work collaboratively with content leads, marketers, and editors to deliver video assets aligned with campaign goals.
• Set up and manage camera, audio, and lighting equipment as needed for shoots.
• Ensure all footage is captured in line with Roots Academy's visual style and brand guidelines.
• Organise, label, and maintain video files and footage libraries in shared drives.
• Support with basic shot planning, scene composition, and creative direction where needed.

Be Part of our Communication Team at Watford & Three Rivers Refugee Partnership

Location: Hybrid - charity based in Watford, Hertfordshire
Commitment: 5-7 hours a week

Watford & Three Rivers Refugee Partnership is dedicated to supporting refugees and asylum seekers by providing immigration services, advocacy, a social hub and ESOL classes. As  Communication Volunteers, you will play a key role in sharing the stories of refugees and asylum seekers, raising awareness about their challenges, and promoting the charity’s mission. As part of a team you will develop and implement communication strategies to engage supporters, attract donors, and build partnerships. This role involves managing social media, creating compelling content, and ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop engaging content for social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tiktok), newsletters, blogs, and website updates whilst monitoring engagement and responding to comments.
• Write press releases, articles, and promotional materials to raise awareness.
• Develop partnerships with influencers, community groups, media outlets and other charities and organisations.

Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C. is seeking a visionary Social & Digital Media Education Lead to join our founding volunteer team. This role is central to designing and delivering educational programmes that equip members with the knowledge, skills and confidence to use social media and digital tools safely, creatively and impactfully.

Purpose of the role:

The Volunteer Social & Digital Media Education Lead is responsible for designing, developing and delivering educational programmes focused on social and digital media skills. This role supports the organisation’s mission by empowering volunteers, staff and community members with the knowledge and tools to effectively use digital platforms for communication, outreach and engagement. 

About the role:

As Social & Digital Media Education Lead, you will develop and lead training, workshops, and resources for community members, volunteers, and staff. You will work closely with the Instructional Designer, Membership Director, and Technical Systems Liaison to ensure digital learning aligns with our anti-capitalist, survivor-led, and community-driven mission. This is a strategic and hands-on role where your expertise directly enables communities to navigate and leverage digital spaces safely and effectively.

Rising Capacities for Children Africa (RICCA)

We provide inclusive afterschool programs in rural Kenya fostering learning, mentorship, skills and community empowerment.

Volunteer Video Editor

Rising Capacities for Children Africa (RICCA) is a locally led nonprofit supporting children in rural Kenya to learn, grow, and thrive through after-school programs. We are looking for a creative and reliable Video Editor (Volunteer) to help us tell powerful stories from the ground and amplify children’s voices.

�� What you’ll do

• Edit 3–6 short videos per month for social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
• Create short reels (30–90 seconds) and edit longer storytelling videos (up to 10 minutes)
• Work closely with our team to turn real stories from our after-school programs into engaging content
• Add captions, simple graphics, and music aligned with RICCA’s tone — hopeful, authentic, and community-driven
• Help shape and grow RICCA’s visual storytelling style across platforms
• Suggest creative formats (before/after stories, impact clips, beneficiary voices, mini-documentaries)

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in L&D, instructional design, or leadership development, ideally within mission-driven or D&I-focused organisations, with hands-on experience using AI tools.
• Skills:
• Expertise in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Canva) and LMS platforms.
• Strong facilitation and storytelling skills for remote and hybrid audiences.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) to measure program impact.
• Proficiency in prompt engineering for generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to create scalable content.
